The Always on the Go Girl . . .

These are adorable they are little jars of hand cream in the little dolls, ideal to put in your bag ad have on the go. I always have a hand lotion in my bag as I wash my hands or use anti bacterial gel so much my hands get dried out especially in the winter months. These are great to put in your bag and use on the go. Available from Matalan for £3.50.

For The Joker . . .

You’ll never trust this individual when they offer to make you a drink ever again after you’ve brought them this mug, as the joke never gets old with this mug. An actual practical joke present, as half the time you buy a joke present you laugh for a few days at most and then it never gets looked at again so at least this has some sort practical application as a mug is always needed or can be used in any household. For the chocolate lover or anyone for that matter as who doesn’t love chocolate this is a great stocking filler. Gift Guide: Gifts for Him

So continuing the gift guide series here are some gift ideas for the men in your life.

The Big Child . . .

What guy doesn’t want this? Loads of guys I know either own one or want one of these however, warning these are bloody annoying after a while so purchase with caution. Also I know a lot of guys that don’t keep up on keeping charged so they’ll either stop using it or it will break when they drop out of power mid use. They’ll love it but take full consideration before buying one, this one is fairly inexpensive for a helicopter, costing £34.99 from Men Kind.

The Cooking Enthusiast . . .

These look so amazing and will be a feature of pride in any mans kitchen (not matter if they like cooking or not). Functional yet such and interesting and unique piece. Available from Menkind for £39.99.

The Hard Man (foodie) . . .

Every man likes to act like his tougher and more manly than any one else so put him to the test and gage his spice tolerance with this sophisticated and elegant looking Edingborough Preserves Blazing Hot Box. Just see how long it takes for him to start to sweat and struggle with Jalapeno Sauce; Cajun Sauce; Chipotle Sauce; Chili and Vodka Mustard. Any foodie will love this too with a delightful mix of high quality products to add to their recipies. Available at John Lewis for £18.00.

The Impeccably Groomed. . .

This Bluebeards Revenge Deluxe kit is ideal for any man who wants to be perfectly groomed and its a bit fun and pirates but its a great brand. Bluebeards Revenge also offer a wide range of gift set no matter what your price range so ideal for everything. This kit includes: Pre Shave Oil; Shaving Cream; Post Shave Balm; “Doubloon” Brush; Roll on Antiperspirant Deodorant. Available from Feel Unique for £35.00.

The Gamer . . .

If that man in your life loves gaming then why not buy him a video game, this needs to be less or a surprise ask him what he wants and he’ll still love it no matter if its a surprise or not. I tend to default to buying my boyfriend video games as thats what he loves doing and there are always loads of new games released this time of year . Also prices and packages can vary dramatically so make sure you shop around.

The Sophisticated Gentlemen . . .

Personally I think Hugo Boss create the nicest mens fragrances and this is a well presented and sophisticated looking gift set. Also I love how in this set the second part is a shower gel as I feel like this is of more use to a man, not many men I know can be bothered with moisturisers but many use shower gel and aren’t fussy so you can guarantee it will get use. This is just a nicely presented, great smelling perfume set for the men in your life. Available from Feel Unique for £40.00.

 The Business Man . . .

Strong, sophisticated, stylish, classic what more could he want? An essential for every business or well dressed man. Although I’m not sure how many blokes I know would appreciated the fact its Armani it is a good looking watch and thats something no one can deny. Available at the Watch Shop for £159.

l sample of the amazing gifts that are on the market this year and as Christmas draws closer the more full the shops will get. Take a look a round and there are gifts perfect for every one you know. What are you buying for the men in your life this year?

Lipstick Lover . . .

First and foremost I think this is the most beautiful make up bag that I’ve ever seen as part of a gift set, just simple and elegant. So this includes 4 clarins lip product minis including:  Mini Rouge Eclat 13 Woodrose, Mini Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector 06 Rosewood Shimmer, Mini Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector 01 Rose Shimmer and a Mini Gloss Prodige 04 Candy. Overall a beautiful high end set that someone wouldn’t alway consider buying for themselves but will greatly appreciate the gift. Available from Debenhams for £19.50.

Feel The Benefits . . .

Benefit really kicked it up a level with their gift sets this year and this is by far my favourite, I adore this sweet shop box and I feel like this offers the biggest range of products so no matter if she loves Benefit or is just curious this set is a good place to start. This contains: High Been Luminescent Complexion Enhancer; Hoola Bronzer; They’re Real! Beyond Mascara mini; The POREfessional Primer 7.5ml and Ulta Plush Lip Gloss in Hoola Mini. Any girl would be over the moon to recieve any of the benefit gift sets and they are available near enough everywhere. Available from Feel Unique for £39.50.

Perfect Timing . . .

A watch is always an appreciated gift, whether simply just as an accessory or an elegant time piece it is always gratefully received. I think this gold rose Marc Jacobs watch from the Watch Shop is so unique and simply stunning however, it it isn’t to yours or their taste but you like the style it is available in 11 other colour options so there is something for everyone. Available at The Watch Shop for £185.00.

Make Up Collection Part Two

So on Saturday I uploaded the first half of this and here is the rest of my make up collection that is here with me at university.

Sleek Face Form in Light: This is the ultimate drug store contour kit when you get the hang of it, pretty much everything your face in one place especially with such a beautiful blush and all 3 work together and blend so easily.

The Body Shop Extra Virgin Mineral in 102 Natural Ivory: This wasn’t a great foundation for me but I’ve almost hit pan and i’m mixing it with moisturiser and trying to make it work for me so it wasn’t £16.00 wasted.

Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer Classic: I use this daily in my t zone and cheeks just generally where I want my make up to last longer, it leaves a matte finish and feels amazing. The only downside is it is a little expensive for a drugstore silicon based primer but I would repurchase if its the best in the drug store.

MUA Blushes in Bon Bon and Lolly: These are near enough identical which is my fault as I brought one loved in went to buy another and clearly love that tone so much I brought a near identical one. These are incredible blushes though especially for only £1.00 each.

A very old Natural Collection Shimmer Powder.

Wet n Wild Natural Wear Pressed Powder in Ivory: I bought this at cosmetic fairy over the summer and it is slightly too dark for my natural collection however, its a lovely quality powder and I’ll break it out next summer when i have a slight natural tan.

Natural Collection Pressed Powder in Cool: This used to be my go to powder now I tend to opt for Collections but I still love it, the only reason its not been used as much is because I dropped it and its smashed so it’s definitely more of an apply at home thing than touch up at home. Good if you’re on a budget though.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Ivory: This unfortunately I got screwed over by feel unique as this was meant to be try me and it wasn’t, as when I asked where my sample was to test the colour I was told rudely it wasn’t one offered under try me despite it been advertised as try me. Regret buying it for feel unique as it is too dark but I’ve made doo mixed it with another foundation as it definitely add more CC to my standard foundation.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Light Porcelain: A true pale girl foundation and it leaves a perfect dewy brightening foundation that keeps you looking radiant and awake. Love this so much.

Make Up Academy Pressed Powder in Light: I bought this for travelling over the summer to keep in my bag for touch ups as for £1.00, its such a good powder and ideal to keep in my bag.

Collection Pressed Powder in Ivory: I have way too many pressed powders don’t I? This is by far my favourite pressed powder I’ve gone through so many and next time I’m in Superdrug/Boots as I’m hitting pan and I cannot live without it.

YSL Fusion Ink Foundation Sample: Totally lost my piece of paper with my colour on however, as its winter its too dark as I got matched for my colour about two days after coming back from holidaying in the south of france.

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer in Light: So yeah I don’t like it but I’m determined to use it as a concealer is useful especially as a pencil to stick in my bag.

Make Up Academy Cover and Conceal Wand In Light: This is great for covering small blemishes but is slightly on the watery side but its a £1.00 concealer and highly workable.

Avon Eyeshadow Duo in Warm Cashmere: A beautiful natural matte duo that is perfect for everyday, forgot about it for a while brought  it back out the other day and been wearing it a lot since.

The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes in Warm: Perfect for a brown smoky eye, brilliant amount of product and lovely shadows, only downside is that its £16.00 for 4 eyeshadows.

MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black Brown: I simply adore this mascara it’s essentially everything I’d ever want in a mascara, never going to go without this again.

Soap and Glory Its About Prime Eyeshadow Primer: Essentially just trying to use this up so I can open up my urban decay primer potion.

Rimmel Glam Eyes: The labels come of the back and I got it in a pound shop but its a lovely quad of colours only problem is some of the colours are tricky to use due to all the plastic dividers.

Make Up Academy Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint in Stay and Girl Like Me: These are great for lazy days to add a wash of colour or use as a base for something else, definitely recommend and basically a touch up essential. It’s also essential for those who likes to sleep in just run over your eyelids as you run out the door.

Barry M Showgirl Mascara: This was a gift with purchase that I haven’t actually got round to using it as I’m getting better at not having 3/4 mascaras on the go at once. I will post a review possibly when I get round to trying it out.

Collection Colour Kohl Black Magic: My all time favourite eyeliner that I don’t think I will ever find a good replacement for and actually as its only £1.99 what is the point in trying to find something better.

Make Up Academy Lip Lacquer in Tranquility: This is really the ultimate velvet/matte lip product, it honestly lasts ages and became a make up staple over the summer, especially as t held up so well throughout the day even when eating and drink.

Maybellene Baby Lips: This was a pound shop baby lips so I’m not sure what it is to its normal drug store equivilant and its an import however, this stuff is amazing and tends to stay in

3 Avon Lipstick Samples: I got these when avon had a stand at a careers day at my university, they had nothing related to me but I love get free samples and these are super nice lipsticks and colours.

Makeup Academy Lipstick in Bare: the ultimate budget nude, cannot get enough of this.

Barry M Cor Balmy in Adam and Eve: I love this balm but the scent is a little summery so I may retire this for a few months.

I’m honestly too lazy to get up and check the last few (lazy blogger I know), however I have so much stuff to do at the moment and some of these aren’t actually labelled as they’ve worn off. So how do you store your makeup and what are your favourites in your own collection?

Make Up Collection and Storage Part One

Okay I don’t really have proper storage and this isn’t really my full collection it is just everything that has come to university with me so I just thought I’d do a lovely little post of everything I own/use regularly enough to justify bringing.

As you can see everything has its places and are relatively easy to get to and with my current set up this is the idea make up set up as its next to the window so I can do my make up effortlessly in natural light. So now I’ll show you the majority of my collection as I missed the odd bits out (because I’m useless) and then a mini opinion on each of them or what I use it for.

L’oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing and Perfecting Milk: I haven’t used that much of this much as I’ve been swapping which products I’ve been using and so far I do like this.

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Body Butter: I love Body Shop body deeply hydrating and they smell delicious, I always by them on offer as they are a lot but I don’t think they are overpriced as a little can go a long way. So find your perfect scent and buy one.

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer Sensitive: The perfect base for everyday and I love this however, I feel like I’ve mentioned this loads. I have sensitive opposed to normal as I’ve been having more breakouts recently so I felt like this was best.

Superdrug Deep Action Anti Blemish Gel: This is a fairly recent purchase which I haven’t used that much yet but I am going to review once I feel like I’ve used this long enough to give and informed review.

Nivea Daily Essentials Regenerating Night Cream Normal and Combination Skin: On bucking up my skin care routine I’ve kept meaning to buy a night cream, this was half price in Superdrug and I love Nivea so it was a no brainer cannot wait to get used to incorporating it into my daily routine.

Superdrug Cleansing Face Wipes in Sensitive: Brought these and they were a complete dud, I couldn’t be bothered when I got in to do the full take off so decided to use a wipe then remove the rest fully later. Well it barely removed anything and my eye shadow was fully intact despite saying it even removes waterproof makeup. When I have enough (i have 3 already) I may do a disappointing products post.

The Body Shop Love Ect Body Lotion: When my hands are dry this typically comes in my bag with me I really need to move this into one of them, unfortunately love ect has been discontinued.

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Eye Makeup Remover: This is so thick and creamy and feels amazing on the skin I’m really enjoying it and will definitely repurchase it.

Tesco Everyday Value Facial Wipes: Honestly the best make up wipes I have ever used, it even removes tough waterproof makeup. I tend to only use wipes when I get in late or I’m feel really lazy but they are always handy to have around.

Superdrug Deep Action Pore-Cleansing Nose Strips: These were a buy one get one free item and they are alright and I will use them but they aren’t great.

Sanex Zero Roll on: This is great for working out and is a really heavy duty deodorant.

Compressed Dove Antiperspirant in Beauty Finish and Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena: The pomegranate one is my favourite deodorant and my boyfriend loves it too so I have two as he tends to steal them.

Superdrug Nail Varnish Remover: This is almost done and is pretty much a bog standard and really good nail varnish remover, no point spending money where it isn’t needed.

Superdrug Moisturising Nail Varnish Remover: This I bought this as a replacement for the other one but this leaves an oily residue on the skin that I am really not keen on and it doesn’t feel likes it works as well but I will use it up.

Sainsburys and Superdrug Cotton Pads: I tend to buy the baby ones as they are much bigger and more useful for take makeup off although the small ones are good for nail varnish. However, I am currently stuck with all small as this is what happens when you ask your boyfriend to pick some up for you.

Mark Hill De Frizz Control and Shine Spray: This was a pound shop gem and it was absolutely amazing I’m going to be sad when it’s used up as it was discontinued. Basically the most amazing light hold shine spray ever.

Aussie Miracle Recharge Shine Leave in Conditioner: I reviewed this the other day so check that out here.

Superdrug Extra Firm Hold Hair Spray: I used this occasionally and it holds so well, only problem with it is that it goes so stiff and crunchy so I’m on the look out for something new but will still have a high level of hold.

TRESemme Heat Defence Spray: Basically the ultimate heat defence spray which I cannot do without, something that everyone should own.

Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo: Brought this for travel over the summer and its lasted me ages as I don’t use it that often but it is simply amazing although I’m not overly keen on the scent of the blush one.

The Body Shop Hair Chalk: I bought this last easter and haven’t used it overly much as I haven’t really had the occasion too, it is a stunningly beautiful colour and works really well even with dark brown hair.

Makeup Academy Pro-base Fixing Spray: I used this loads over the summer especially during long days of working events and its so good or I use it when I have like a 12 hour day out of the house due to lectures and work.

Foot Pack: This is absolutely amazing as I have such bad cracked feet and I constantly rebuy it.

Urban Decay Naked 3: This was a gift from my boyfriend and I absolutely love it, i use it most days it is the most beautiful and pigmented shadows. I’d highly recommend it if you are considering a naked palette.

Makeup Academy Heaven and Earth Palette: The most perfect budget neutral palette and I’m getting close to hitting pan on one or two luckily I’m so obsessed with my naked palette this has been saved.

Make Up Academy Pretty Edgy Palette: The main reason I wanted this was that I really loved the packaging it is just absolutely beautiful and the colours are amazing too anyway, its definitely more of an evening look palette though.

Barry M Super Chic Palette (Superdrug Limited Edition): One of those saw it, wanted it and bought it as its beautiful despite being out of your comfort zone.

So these are all my Elizabeth Arden Miniatures that I absolutely love in order there is: Green Tea; Mediterranean; Sunflower; Red Door and Pretty.

As this is a long post and it’s taken me a while to write I am splitting it in two and the second half will be up in a few days. I love finding out about different peoples make up storage options and their main collection how they lay out their everyday products. How do you store your makeup? Whats in your everyday make up collection?

Aussie Leave in Conditioner Review

So I did the haul for this a while back which you can read here, and I thought I’d finally get round to writing a review for it as I feel like I have definitely used this long enough.

For hair that wants to polish up its act

Wannabe starlet? Well hair that shines is good place to start. Give your hair an encore and spritz this nippy miracle straight on,
for hair that just got its lustre (and its mojo) back.

So Aussie have a wide range of leave in conditioners but due to the moisture recharge one been out of stock I bought the Aussie Miracle Recharge Shine Leave in Conditioner, and I really wanted to try a new leave in conditioner for a while but it wasn’t until my hairdresser used this on me and I loved it. I’ve often found that creamy traditional leave in conditioners are way too heavy so this was a nice change.

I don’t often find aussie products worth the money especially when I’m so happy with my TRESemme which lasts ages but I’ve loved the aussie smell I just find the hair products so so for the price but this is amazing. Lightweight, smells amazing and really does work, and it leaves your hair smelling amazing it throughout the day.

So when and how do I use it? I tend to use it throughout the week maybe once in between washing especially if it is a week in which I use a lot of heat or after swimming as chlorine is quite damaging to hair.

I just love they fact that this isn’t a heavy leave in conditioner it leaves my hair feeling sshinyand soft and has drastically improved the condition of my hair. So have you tried any of the Aussie Leave in Conditioners or do you have any leave in conditioner recommendations?

Lots of Love, Gwenllian Branwen

What’s in My Shower

Is it wrong that I have some kind of obsession with these videos and love seeing what types of products people love to use so I thought I’d share what’s ‘in my share’ and the products I use on a regular basis.

So if you didn’t know I live in a student house with 3 boys and we all share a bathroom, which isn’t as bad as you might think. However I have lucked out, none of the boys even thought to use the bathroom cabinet so as well as placing some on the edge of the shower/bath I have filled this cabinet with all my shower/bath bits and its just a perfect size.

So I’ll start with the edge of my bath, these are the things that I use the most essentially daily.

Soap and Glory Orangeasm Body Wash: So this is my current shower gel/body wash I tend to prefer fruity scents and the citrus scent of this is ideal to wake you up and make you feel fresh first thing in the morning. Although it isn’t especially orange which is disappointing and it has more or a general citrus and tangy so if you want a true orange the body shop one is more for you. I love the creaminess of this body wash and it feels great on the skin. I also love the size of the bottle so even with my boyfriend how doesn’t seem to understand the concept of a little goes a long way with last forever.

Tresemme Salon Silk Shampoo and Conditioner: I don’t feel like I need to say that much about these I love these shampoos and conditioners and constantly rebuy them, especially the salon silk variety. If you want to know about my love affair with Tresemme I did a brand focus a while back which you can check out here.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub: I do a full body exfoliation once or twice a week and I tend to do it in line when I wash my hair, there’s no particular reason for it other than the fact its just easier that way. I love the fact this feels properly gritty so it feels like it is properly doing something although I have no idea if it does. It has an odd mix of smells of a odd combination of citrus and sickly sweet simultaneously and I’m not sure if this works. I’ve enjoyed it but next time I think I’m likely to opt for one of the Body Shop ones that smell amazing.

Superdrug Tea Tree Skin Care Exfoliation Scrub: I love tea tree skin care and I was over the moon when superdrug launched there tea tree skin care range. I use it every two to three days and brought it when I was trying to take better care of my skin and I feel like my skin is finally getting there. I’d highly recommend this especially at £3.29 its great.

Fresh Minty Foot Scrub: I do not use this nearly as much as I should. I have really cracked heals and in combination with foot packs I use this deliciously minty foot scrub, it really does work when I remember it although rubbing exfoliating products on to your feet does take some getting used to.

Escenti Tea Tree Facial Wash Gel: Every morning when I’m in the shower I wash my face with this just to get off all the oils and dirt that build up on my face overnight. I purely do it in the shower as I’m lazy and it kills to birds with one stone before going to lectures or work in the mornings.

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Body Wash: It’s sitting there half used as I brought the soap and glory orangasm and switched out as I tend to get bored or fragrances however this one is my most favourite body wash I have ever owned. So now I’m just saving it for the days where I’ve have a hectic day of work and just want to have a nice long shower. I don’t think they do this any more but I have a Body Shop outlet near me which I think does and I’m tempted to go in and buy it up.

Radox Nourish Bath Soak: As you can tell I haven’t actually used this yet but I always have to have a bath soak in the cupboard just in case and I cannot wait for an evening when I feel like a bath as this is shea butter and ginger. It should be a relaxing night.

Morrisons Sensitive Aloe Vera Shave Gel: A really inexpensive but absolutely great shave gel I just endlessly repurchase it, just leaves your legs so smooth and silky after shaving. Basically the lesson here is never reject supermarket own brands.

Superdrug My Little Star Baby Shampoo: I don’t know why this is in my bathroom cabinet as I use it to wash my make up brushes although I do wash them in the bathroom obviously. I use baby shampoo as its the best and most inexpensive way to clean make up brushes a must have for any make up lover and it costs like 75p.

Wilkinson Sword Razors Xtreme III Beauty:Last up my razor, these I just picked up cheap and the blade can like flex which after some getting used to these are some of the best razors I’ve ever tried and are great for everything.

So I hoped you’ve enjoyed having a glimpse into what I use day to day, which of these products do you use and love? What do you love using day to day?
