May Favourites

May Favourites

Hi everyone,

Its that time again for looking back over every thing that I have been loving over may and kinda over April as I didn’t do one last month. So with exams, celebrations and music festivals its been a mixed bag this month and the weather hasn’t helped either.

Pastel Nail Polish

This month I have being loving pastel nails this month either having each colour individually or a beautiful pastel array. The first is one I have fallen in love again from last summer and its my NYC Expert Last Nail Polish in Lavender Cupcake, which is a beautiful lavender colour that literally needs two layers and you are set to go. I have also been loving the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Kiss Me Quick, a beautiful pastel pink colour it is definitely more of a cool toned pink but is ideal for summer and I think it will get a lot of use as it is suitable for special events and a more casual look. Finally if you want something much cooler then the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Eat My Dust, I think this is my favoirite out of these three but they are all of my favourites and I just cannot get enough of them

P.S. Love Blush Stick

As summer approaches out comes the coral tones and the cream based products, so I have been loving the Primark P.S. Love Blush Stick these don’t have names but it is the more coral tone. I really love it just dable it on, blend if on and you have long lasting blush all day. Plus the colour is perfect you can check out my swatches of this an initial review here.

Rimmel 9-in-1 cream

A product that I’ve only had since the end of April but I’ve been loving simply due to its simplicity and ease of use, so on mornings when I was tired form revision or didn’t want to think about my makeup the Rimmel London 9-in-1 BB Cream. It was just so simple to use and just evens you out, also all my other foundations tend to be a full coverage so it was nice to dabble with lighter product, you can check my full review of it here.

Ganier Micellar Cleansing Water

Another fairly new product to me but not a new concept and its the Ganier Micellar Cleansing Water, I picked this up after using up my L’Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water which I also loved but with the blogging blog I had to try something new. I have to say I absolutely love this especially as I picked it up on offer in Asda for £3.33, its so effortless to take off my make up simply wet a cotton pad, hold it over my eyes for a few seconds and it simply wipes everything away. I love the clean feeling and although I would love to have a more thorough skin care routine I don’t have the space or time to invest in the research to get a perfect routine but as it stand my current cobbled together routine has left my skin fairly decent.

The Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter

The final thing I have been loving and I feel as though I have mentioned it before which is The Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter, this stuff has lasted me quite a while but it smells so damn amazing. Also like all Body Shop Body Butters it is deeply hydrating and leaves your skin feeling amazing I just cannot get get enough of it.

So what have you guys been loving this month, also what do you think about this new format for favourites, I feel as though it is a lot more flowing than my previous favourites posts, so let me know.

Whats in My Bag?: Festival Edition / Festival Essentials

festival essentials

So this weekend I went to Slam Dunk South Festival to have an amazing day seeing bands and celebrate the end of the year/graduating. So I thought I would do a little bit of what is in my festival bag and festival essentials, although this is slightly different as it is a one day festival the essentials are different. I’m also writing this after because I usually carry crap I don’t need so I’ll show you exactly what I took taking into account what I used and what I didn’t.

First and foremost lets consider the essentials that are needed. The most important thing is Sunblock, I picked up Lacura Suncare Extra Sensitive Sun Spray SPF 50+ form aldi which is a 50+ sunblock, I know ideally you should reapply throughout the day but I knew I would not end up doing so and I don’t have the space in my tiny bag. The 50+ should last more of the day, remember be safe and choose a high factor sunblock. Also check it has UVA, UVB and that it is water resistant if you want more information about checking the best sunblock check out some advice here. However it was clouded over and drizzled a lot of the day, regardless any exposed areas such as my arms and neck just in case.

Another essential is light layers to help you stayed covered and protected and the sun, but keep you cool or a bonus layer if its chilly. My personal favorites for this is either a checked shirt or a kimono dependent on what outfit I’m wearing to which works best. It is basically something that keeps you covered, I opted for a checked shirt as it added warmth and with a festival like slam dunk near enough everyone is wearing a checked shirt. Dress accordingly.

Also make sure you are wearing sensible shoes, I opt for things like converse but there were girls the festival wearing flip flops and heels. You need something that will be comfy all day and in crowded areas that you wont loose or roll your foot and injure or even sprain something. Stick with pumps, trainers basically something that is sturdy and comfortable really just think about it. Fashion is not what a festival is all about, yes look nice but think about practicality.

The bag I used you can see in my ‘What’s in My Bag: Compact Edition‘ and it fitted in everything with a little bit of room left over.

whats in my bag

So now onto what I took with me in my little bag, I always like to keep it practical and compact in an attempt not to over pack. The most important items are your tickets and a site map/schedule, you won’t get in without your ticket for a start and the schedule/map is important so you know where to go at what time. As its held at my university I know all of the short cuts and its fairly simple to get around after spending three years there.

Don’t forget to take purse essentials but not your whole purse just in case you loose it. Take enough cash, food stalls, merch and bars mainly only accept cash and the cash machines either have huge queues or run out of money half way through the day so take enough so you aren’t disappointed. Decide how much money to take based on food, drink and travel for taxis ect and maybe take more in case. If you run out of money don’t forget you can get free tap water behind any bar so you can stay hydrated. The purse essentials to me are debit card, ID and cash.

My next few items concern hygiene in several different ways. First up is the fair obvious anti-bacterial hand gel, I am currently using the Fun Edition Cussons Carex Complete in Strawberry Laces, this one smells completely amazing. It’s great for a large number reasons either to freshen up, clean your hands before or after you eat or for after you’ve been to the loo (especially port-a-loos). Along the same lines I have the Halo Hand Wipes, I found these were best for after eating the greasy festival food but we also used them for when my boyfriend cut his leg to clean himself up. I suppose you can take either or but they don’t take up that much room and its good to make sure you keep clean. The final thing in this area is Superdrug Soft Tissues a highly practical thing not only for hayfever suffering, cleaning up spills they are useful for when the loo has run out of paper it is always useful to have tissues.

Other major essentials include keys, camera and phone. A camera is not necessarily essential but the picture quality is better but it can depend on your phone a bit. Then it is just a few random other bits and pieces such as chewing gum for fresh breath, pain killers in case you have a headache ect and plasters (I have cute hello kitty ones) which I mainly use in case your shows rub ect. Oh and the other probably non essential but I always carry around is a clear lip balm in which mine is Rimmel Keep Calm and Shop Lip Balm which it’s bright colours make it easier to find.

The only thing that I had in my bag that I didn’t use was my Yves Rocher Pink Grapefruit Vitamin Face Mist, this was mainly due to the weather been fairy meh this wasn’t needed but if it was hot or really sweaty in a room it would of been ideal to cool us down. However only using one item is pretty dam good in my opinion.

So what are your festival essentials, let me know in the comments below.

Life Update: University is Over

Hi everyone,

So here is a mini life update as on Monday I complete my final exam of my final year of university and it hasn’t really sunk in yet. It is pretty much being stuck in a weird limbo as I’ve finished but I have no grade and I am still looking for a job it just all feels a little bit odd. Yet for now I am going to celebrate finishing and seeing everyone one last time before we start our lives out in the big wide world.

So to kick off the celebrations after my exam me and my course mates went out to Prezzo to have a meal. Amazing food, great company and a cheeky glass of wine was a perfect way to kick off celebrating the end of an era. Also prezzo is delicious I just barely go but it was certainly a lovely treat.

IMG_20150519_130141606_HDR[1] IMG_20150519_154143235[1]

Then on Tuesday I had a mini bbq with my closest friend from university, my house mate a boyfriend all of us are graduating this year and it was nice to do something a little more intimate rather than lets get pissed. Although the weather was variable with lunch being cooked an umbrella but it brightened up later and turned really nice for dinner and luckily the boys were doing the cooking anyway so we remained completely dry. So we loads of good food watching a few films, some Simpsons it was a really lovely chill day and I’m glad I got to celebrate graduating.

As for the rest of the celebrations, tonight I will be going to an ‘awards’ night for work as working for my SU it means that some 20 of us are leaving this year so its a end of year celebration and sort of a send off for us that won’t be coming back. Then on Saturday we are going to Harvester for a cute little work meal so that will be fun, basically a huge arse send off seeing as most of my work is leaving.

Then on Sunday I am going to Slam Dunk South a music festival I really love and considering that I am literally a 5 minute walk away as it is held at my university. I cannot wait especially to see Taking Back Sunday as I haven’t see them since 2006 so it should be a great day/night. While next week will be more chill as I spend time with my boyfriend before we are apart for ages.

Do you have any big changes to your life? Any one else finishing University this year?

Lots of Love

Review: Rimmel London 9-in-1 BB Cream

rimmel 9-in-1 bb cream

As summer approaches we all start to think about lighter coverage foundations making us look flawless yet without it feeling too heavy. One approach is to follow the BB trend which I’ve always loved the idea of but I’ve never found one in a light enough shade most others been too dark in a light shade when I have a ‘tan’ it was nice to find something that is much lighter. So when I found the very light shade in the Rimmel London BB creams I was so excited, plus they have 3 different types of BB creams the one I selected to try is the 9-in-1 BB cream. The Rimmel London 9-in-1 BB Cream promises to prime, moisturise, minimise the appearance of pores, conceal, cover, smooth, mattify, brighten and protects with SPF 25. Some tall orders for a BB cream so how well does it achieve these.

Rimmel 9-in-1 cream

The first promise it makes is its priming ability and I find this an odd one to judge as I do not anything to compare it to as a primer makes a solid base for foundation and allows it to last longer. It does last well throughout the day but I feel as though the primer is hard to test so it is sort of added for the sake of it, they might of well of simply said long lasting. The mositursing claim is similar, it may not dry out my skin but I would not call it really moistursing, I’d definitely still put one on before hand. Yet with a moisturiser been central to any skin care routine and it not being a drying bb cream I doubt anyone would notice.

This is another two that seems odd it will mattify and brighten, two things that never normally appear together. I am aware that brightening is more about the colour than the finish but if I wanted a brightening bb cream I would go for one that had a dewy finish but it definitely has more of a brightening colour with the yellowish undertones. I would say it is somewhat mattifying but without oily skin I find it interesting.

I also don’t feel as though it does minimise pores but this is one that is always debatable. On a positive note however, it definitely covers and to an extent conceals. Although you may still need some concealer it really evens out the skin tone and is a really light base. I’ll let you judge the cover and conceal factor from the pictures below. Apologises is advance for the hair, I have very little time with exam at the moment so I’ve done my blog pictures on a free afternoon between washing my hair and doing more revision.

My face with nothing on at all with uneven skin tone and blemishes. Not a good skin day.

My face with nothing on at all with uneven skin tone and blemishes. Not a good skin day.

just rimmel bb cream

So here I am with just the BB cream by skin tone is evened out and the blemish on my chin diminished. Only slight colour round the eyes due to sleepless nights due to revision and serve hay fever.

Finally just a natural but full face of make up with the Rimmel BB Cream as a base, not bad if I do say so myself.

Finally just a natural but full face of make up with the Rimmel BB Cream as a base, not bad if I do say so myself.

The BB cream itself has a thick creamy texture that you fully need to work into the skin with your hands in order to have a smooth even coverage. A little goes an long way and you barely feel like you are hardly wearing anything at all, and it just really creates a natural look and a great base. I think I may use it more and more as summer gets underway.

Rimmel Base Comparisons

I decided to a little a little comparison between the colour of this bb cream and my Rimmel London Lasting Finish Full Coverage Foundation,as can be seen above. The clearest difference is the undertone the Lasting Finish Foundation having more pinky to neutral under tone while the BB cream has a yellow undertone which reflects the claim of brightening. The undertone should not worry you though I have a pink under tone and I do not feel as though it looks wrong on my skin tone. As it can be seen both are thick, pigmented and could go forever.

I will definitely be using this loads over the summer months and may even repurchase it next summer as it finally a bb cream in which the colour is light enough for me to wear. Its creamy and everything I wanted, so well done Rimmel for a great bb cream even if it doesn’t meet every claim it is still a great product.

Rimmel London’s 9-in-1 BB Cream is available in the likes of Boots and Superdrug, as well as other Rimmel London stockists for £6.99.

Making the Most of Your Advantage Cards

We all have a purse full of advantage cards from boots and superdrug to the supermarket club cards but are we all really making the most of these. They all work on a points basis in which the points can have somewhat of a monetary value, so I will cover some hints and tips to making the most of these cards.

boots advantage card

To me Boots have one of the best advantage card schemes, with regular offers and vouchers as well as earning 4 points per £1.00 spent its fairly generous. Especially as 1pt is equal to 1p you get 4p back per £1.00 you spend it quickly adds up.

First and foremost, make the most of the vouchers you get sent, I received loads back in April and they do not expire until the 9th  of June so I have more than enough time to use them. With things from money off to extra points its well worth taking a look when they come through the post. For example I have a voucher which is 300 points when buying soap and glory bath/shower products which amounts to £3.00 you can get off something else in future. I’m not saying buy the soap and glory or those types of products just because you can get £3.00 back if you don’t like soap and glory but if you love soap and glory it is well worth taking a look at these types of offers.

Also if you haven’t already download the app its free and available for both IOS and Android operating systems, so as well as been able to shop sort out photo printing from your phone you can also link up your advantage card. Upon linking up your advantage card you can not only check your points you can check out offers and events. The really cool thing is there is an offers just for me where you can load up offers directly on to you advantage card so you don’t even have to think about it discounts and points will occur automatically when you use your advantage card at the check out.

boots app

For example I can load up the ‘10% off shower gel or bubble bath’ offer onto my advantage card and then when you buy a new shower gel it will automatically come off when you use it. I just load them all up as I have nothing to loose by doing so.

Spending Points: You can spend Boots points online or in store but the point total must cover the entire value of the product for example if you wanted to get a Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer at £6.49 you need 649 points. There is no par points but its a good scheme and always worth the wait.

Unfortunately Superdrug don’t do vouchers in the same way in that Boots does nor do they have an app but there are more offers in store its just a case of keeping an eye out. Especially within the beauty department with often one line or another having tripple or double points especially with areas such as Superdrug Own Brand Skin Care. A little hint is to keep an eye out and check your receipt as often you can get bonus point vouchers ect and the ones currently in my purse don’t expire into the end of the year.

Spending Points: Unlike with boots you can only spend Superdrug points in whole pounds, but you can use it as part payment. The only problem is that I never seem to save them up always taking a pound off every single time I can get a pound off.

We all know the supermarket cards such as the tesco clubcard and nectar cards, not of interest to everyone but they are quick to apply for and there is no harm picking them up. Before switching to Tesco home delivery for shopping over Asda I am finally earning points on my clubcard as before I only earnt points from my phone contract which is with Tesco. Things like nectar you can earn points on all sorts from bills to ebay so even if you don’t like Sainsburys there is no harm in using it. I’m not fully clear on spending nectar points and there value but tesco have a huge range of ways to spend money from vouchers to money off days out and rail cards, so don’t hesitate to take a look.

Tesco uses clubcards in order to find out customer preferences but it really pays off, initially you’ll get general vouchers but as you use it more the more tailored the vouchers become. It doesn’t take long to get money of items you actually buy and you don’t have to do anything so you might as well go for it.

Also both shops send vouchers if you haven’t shopped there for a while, every six months or so I get vouchers for £4.00 off a £20.00 shop for a few weeks at Sainsburys so I’ll switch for a few weeks to get the most money back and then go back to Tesco. The Sainsburys near me are awful, actually most Sainsburys I’ve been in are awful but if they want to give me loads of money back I am happy to switch.

General Advice

1. Check out the offers in store places like superdrug run limited offers such as tripple points on own brand items which is a massive 12 points per £1.00 so if you want the stuff get it then.

2. If you want items buy them on offer, either extra points or money off its well worth picking items up then to maximise your gains. Funds permitting obviously.

3. Even if you aren’t sure you’ll use them there is no harm in picking them up there is no pressure to use them and they take up very little space in your purse.

Most of us get these cards and never think about them or use them again, or just simply never get the most out of them. What are your hints and tips for getting the most out of your advantage cards?

Bedside Beauty

bedside beauty

For my valentines I received a super cute LOTR/Hobbit Mason Jar mug which is to precious to put drinks in and since it has become a little storage thing for some basic beauty bits which I mainly use in the evening before bed. It is so convenient and everything is all together making it simple, as well as it being out makes it easier to remember to use it all.

Superdrug Deep Action Anti-Blemish Gel: Spots are the bane of my life popping up every so often, I still don’t know how well these types of things work. Yet this doesn’t make things worse so there isn’t a lot of harm in using it, although it can dry out the skin quite a bit you you have to be very precise with it to just apply it to the spot. Just use it morning and night and it keeps them at bay.

Superdrug Vitamin E Radiance Eye Cream: I am somewhat awful at trying to remember eye cream but as its on my night stand I’m slowly getting better at using it. It’s almost out and I’m not convinced it is actually doing anything, so let me know if you’ve tried any good drugstore eye cream?

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal 24 Hour Intense Hydrating Gel Cream: So this is from a set I received from the lovely Danielle, but I’ve used the cleanser and toner but this mini moisturiser is amazing. A little goes a long way and it smells amazing, I cannot get enough I am going to be so upset when its done as I’m not sure you can get yves rocher items in the UK.

Yves Rocher Pink Grapefruit Vitamin Face Mist: Another thing from Danielle, seriously can we get Yves Rocher in the UK? I don’t use this all the time but it is great for lazy mornings in bed and you just want a little bit of refresh and it smells amazing.

The Body Shop Almond and Nail Cream: I have a new one in my bag and then put this older one in my little mason jar just so I remember to use it before bed as my hands have been so dry after the winter months. This is by far my favorite body shiop hand cream as it smells like bake well tarts nomnomnom.

The Body Shop Mango Lip Butter: I love the body shop lip butters but I prefer the stick lip balms ect for during the day for ease. I suppose I am using it as a sort of lip masks by using this every night before bed.

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Mini Perfume: I love this scent and I’m using it as part of my bed time routine and it helps me sleep better. It’s mainly just the association but what ever floats your boat.

What is part of your bed time routine and what do you keep on your bedside table?

N.B. Sorry for the poor pictures, I took the pictures late at night so unfortunately the lighting is awful.

Superdrug Haul (Again)

Superdrug Haul ft rimmel and barry m

Once again I fell victim to offers in Superdrug and couldn’t resist it. So Superdrug did the 3 for 2 across makeup as well as the get 3 items and get a make up bag, I took full advantage of the 3 for 2 but I didn’t see the point in getting 3 makeup bags simply because I don’t need two identical makeup bags. Also I’m 21 the ‘#makeup’ has minimum appeal to me really. Also the cashier was lovely wanting to scan the items so I got the most out of it all in all saving me £11.99 taking my total from £35.45 to £23.46 so I love her for that. So anyway on to what I brought.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Skin Perfecting Full Coverage Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain: I love a full coverage foundation and I thought I’d give this ago I love Rimmel Foundations especially the wake me up the foundation. I know it seems crazy that I am opting for a full coverage foundation in the summer but it will be great for interviews to have a perfectly made up face as its a perfect colour it won’t look like heavy make up. I also Love how rimmel goes so light with shades. RRP: £7.99.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Concealer in 010 Porcelain: I always want to try new concealers and this ones is slightly different to the normal doe foot or brush type concealers and I was curious. I think I originally saw it on Vivianna Does Makeup Channel on youtube, so it makes you more curious than simply seeing it online. RRP £5.49.

Rimmel London BB Cream 9-in-1 in Very Light: I wasn’t sure which BB to go for this one or the radiance one which I suppose will be similar to the wake me up foundation line but I went for this. I also love that rimmel do a very light bb cream as often the shade light is not usually light enough so I was so excited for this. RRP £6.99.

Rimmel London Fix and Perfect Pro Primer: This was recommended to me ages ago by someone (if it was you I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten) but I wanted to wait until I used up my baby skin primers were used or almost used up. This is more of a cream texture opposed to some of the silicon primers I have used in the past but I’m excited to try this and see how it fits especially as I have normal to dry skin this may be great for me. RRP £6.99.

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in 450 Eat Me Dust: I really wanted some pretty pastel colours for spring/summer and I fell in love with this pretty pale blue, I think I may of also seen this on vivanna’s youtube too. I absolutely love it and I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of it this summer. RRP £3.99.

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in 503 Kiss Me Quick: Another pretty pastel in time for summer, I love pretty pink pastels as they are a great mix of nude and summery colours. I think I will also get loads of use out of this one. RRP £3.99.

Luckily I didn’t come out of superdrug with too much that I didn’t need and I’m excited to try it all out, I aim to do a review of a few of the items especially the bb cream as it is ideal for summer.

What’s in My Bag: Compact Edition

What's in my bag

I’m am definitely guilty of carrying around with a huge bag filled with junk, although I’m at university 3/4 days a week and often go straight from class to work so a huge bag is needed to carry notes, laptop, work clothes ect. you name it, its probably in there. Sometimes though a huge bag gets in the way and you just want something small when you don’t need a lot so here’s wants in my travelling light bag, a very refreshing change.

So the bag is a beautiful little thing I picked up in the sale section for £4.00 you can see it in my random haul here. It is just a perfect compact size just enough to fit in your essentials and it really stops you from packing too much. I also love the fact you can detach the straps so you can use it as a clutch if so desired or you can change up the strap up a bit so it can be a versatile bag. I’m very glad I picked it up and cannot wait to trade in my over sized  bag to something a bit more manageable.

Lipbalm: Rimmel London Keep Calm Lip Balm in 010 Clear (Keep Calm and Shop): A lip balm is always important to keep in your bag although it is something I always change up. At the moment I have this fun rimmel one, it comes in other colours which are tinted but I tend to prefer a clear one to keep in my bag for general use. I also love how easy this one is to find as it is so vibrant.

Tissues: Superdrug Ultra Balm (10 pack): Tissues are always a must whether you need to clean up spills or the usual purpose you need tissues. Plus they barely take up any room and are actually a useful piece of clutter.

Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel: Cussons Carex Complete Fun Edition Strawberry Laces: Another must for someone on the go hand sanitizer for whenever you need it, whether you out and about and just need a refresher, also a must for public transport or grabbing food on the day. At the moment I have this delicious smelling strawberry laces one which is absolutely amazing, I tend to opt for flavors as I prefer a bit of a scent as opposed to the sterile scent.

Phone: An obvious inclusion in every bag, a phone. All I have added to it is this cute simple purple phone case which I picked up for £0.99 off ebay as all I wanted was something simple to protect it.

Keys: Once again another little obvious addition to any bag, they do take a little bit of room simply due to the size of my key ring however, in a bigger bag I find this essential also I absolutely love it as I think its so cute.

Lipstick: Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy (in 01 Lush Coconut): As I don’t have the luxury of having endless lip products in my bag to not only mix up my look but because I’m too lazy to keep taking my lip products our apart from when I need them. As I needed to slim it down I’m mainly going to keep this in my bag adding a subtle nude colour and a nice shine its perfect as a gloss/lipstick combination and due to its natural colour it goes with everything. Also the YSL lipstick are so light and comfortable I cannot wait to expand my collection.

Card Holder/Small Purse: I would usually choose to keep my card ect in one of these but unfortunately I don’t have either as the card holder I brought on ebay got lost in the post and I don’t really have a small purse to put in it as most of my purses are bigger than the bag. I will hopefully get one by the time I really need one.

Have you thought about downsizing your bag and if so what would you keep and what would you eliminate? It is so nice not to be weighed down with junk.

Lots of Love

Mega Empties Part Two

Mega Empties Part Two

So I had way more empties then it seemed reasonable so my empties got split between two posts,if you wish to see make up and skin care empties check out my other post here. This post with cover bath body and hair. So lets get going so I can finally chuck everything out.

bath and body

Bath and Body

Shea Butter & Peppermint Deep Moisturising Foot Pack: I have no idea what brand these are as my mum picked them up from body care but I also like the ones from home bargains. These work so well on dry cracked feet and are mess free simply stick on the booties and leave on for 15-20 minutes while you so something else. I’m endlessly buying these as they are amazing especially as summer is coming up and you’ll have your feet out more and more.

Gingko Biloba Intensive Rejuvenation Foot Pack: I love foot packs as you can tell, as more and more come out I’m just trying all the different ones out and I haven’t found a bad one yet

Wilkinsons Fruits Rhubarb and Vanilla Fragrance Explosion Bath Bomb: I’ve been curious about these bath bombs for a while as they are so inexpensive and smell great in the packet so seem way better value for money. So they make the bath smell amazing but that seems to be it they don’t change the colour and don’t do anything spectacular to your skin but they are still nice to try and I thoroughly enjoyed using it just to try out but I’m not sure if I’d try again although they are only around the £1.00 mark.

Sanex Sensitive Shower Gel: I don’t know if they still sell these in the same packaging but I will always buy the sensitive version as its my favorite scent and always feels nice on the skin. I cannot think how to explain the smells but its simply sweet and nice. They last ages and well worth trying out.

Radox Nourish Bath Soak with Ginger and Shea Butter: This was the most amazing nourishing bath soak ever my skin felt so smooth and nourished as it did after using this. It didn’t have that many bubbles but I feel like sometimes bubbles aren’t important if it leaves your skin feeling amazing afterwards. It’s also so soothing and relaxing after a long day so perfect with a few candles and a good book (or a text book, the joys of final year). I may repurchase it but I’m never loyal to bubble baths/bath soaks and like to mix it up but I may rebuy it at some point I definitely wouldn’t turn it down.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Butter: This was one of the Body Shops Christmas scents and as its vanilla i wanted it, I received the set as a gift from my boyfriend parents. It was lovely and it is a shame that it was only a Christmas scent as I prefer this to the regular vanilla scent.

haircare batiste and tresemme

TRESemme Smooth Salon Silk Shampoo and Conditioner (both 900ml): These have lasted absolutely months and they are my all time favorite shampoo and conditioner I barely use anything else as they leave my hair feeling super clean and amazing. They do smaller bottles but the bigger ones are better value for money especially as I stock up on when they are like 2 for £5 or half price which is always possible simply due to how long they last you can always wait for the right offer. I like the other offers but salon silk is by far my favorite great quality and amazing value for money.

TRESemme Colour Revitalise Colour Protection Treatment Masque: I’ve had this for ages but being a 500ml tub it just never stops going its just so good. I don’t know if they still do this one so I’m going to keep an eye out for it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Travel Sized in Blush: I’ve had this since last summer, tending to opt for the travel sizes as I rarely use dry shampoo, this smells really nice and batiste always do great dry shampoos. I have discovered that dry shampoo definitely works best putting it in the night before but then it depends why you are using it.

Matalan Vanilla Sugar Candle: I love vanilla candles and this one from matalan was amazing kicking off loads of scent which was a really sweet vanilla. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn’t burn evenly so a lot of the candle is wasted which is a shame.

Primark Pineapple and Ginger Candle: I’m still undecided on this scent as I don’t know if I like it or not as its very different to what I usually go for but these smaller candles are only £0.80 so it wasn’t a waste. I don’t think I will repurchase it but it was nice to try something new.

Primark Sweet Berry and Patchouli Candle: I loved this just a lovely berry scent which is more subtle rather than over powering, it looks pretty with the little top and everything it is well worth trying out if you go to primark.

Phew I’m done, no more empties at least for now and hopefully not for a while. What have you been trying and loving at the moment.

Lots of Love
