July Collective Haul

As July winds down, it means just one thing its time for my monthly haul and favourites (which will be up Friday), lets delve into all of the goodies that I picked up this month

July Collective Haul - Collection Concealer & Rimmel Nail Polish

Asda: Asda, the one stop shop for all my essential and not so essential makeup items. I probably pick up more than hauled but it’s when I remember. As always, I picked up another Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 01 (£4.19), one day I may try something new again but not just yet. I was also on a mission the end of June/start of July to find a fun yellow nail polish, to embrace summer and have some mini Tour de France support and the first yellow shade I found was the Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in 452 Chin Up Buttercup (£2.99). It’s a supper fun, and bright yellow and although I prefer the one I found shortly after I’m glad I have this to mix up my nail polish collection.

July Collective Haul - Barry M

Boots: For the first time in a while I’ve shopped in Boots mainly because I don’t get into town much these days, there is a very small Boots near my work but it’s not worth shopping in as it holds very few lines. As I knew what I wanted I ordered online and picked up in store for free. I wanted a few Barry M items and with a 3 for 2 offer at the time I simply couldn’t resist. He main reason for the order was this delightful pastel yellow shade Barry M Coconut Infusion Gel Nail Paint in 707 Lemonade (£4.99), a perfect shade to embrace summer and my love of the Tour De France. I picked up another of the coconut infusion range as my “free item” , choosing the Barry M Coconut Infusion Gel Nail Paint in 714 Aloha (£4.99) which I felt was so fun and summary I just couldn’t resist and I love Barry M Nail Polishes. A summer must have for me is a setting spray, so I thought I would give the Barry M Flawless Mist & Fix Makeup Setting Spray Matte Finish (£4.99) its affordable and a matte finish is always a winner so I will put it to the test shortly.

The Body Shop: Once again in July The Body Shop did there 40% off everything including sale items, so with my mum we both purchased a few bits. This time all I wanted was a few more body sorbets and I simply couldn’t resist these delicious summer scents. I cannot wait to start using the The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet (£3.10) and The Body Shop Pinta Colada Body Sorbet (£3.10)

So, those are the bits I picked up over the course of July, did you guys get anything good? I’m planning to check out the summer sales shortly so August may be a shopper happy month.

May Collective Haul

May Collective Haul

After a month off in April I am back with another monthly collective haul, once again with some of the goodies I picked up this month. So lets not beat around the bush and dive in.

May Collective Haul - Collection Extreme Eyeliner & George Matte Foundation

ASDA: I think Asda has to be one of my go to locations these days for basics as its so close to work and I can easily pop in or the way in or way home, it’s a trip to town these days for the likes of Boots/Superdrug so its definitely my go to. This month my liquid eyeliner dried up and in search of a new one I decided to give the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Black 2.98), I’m been trying it out recently and a review should be up in the next couple of weeks. I also feel like I need to try some more George makeup as you never know what gems you may find, so what I thought I would try the George Matte Foundation with Shine Control & Chamomile in Warm Ivory (£3.00) the colour seemed a good match and I feel like it will be good as we get into summer. I’ve posted my review of the George Matte Foundation earlier this week which you can find here.

May Collective Haul - The Body Shop Lightening Drops

The Body Shop: Recently I have been struggling with getting foundations to match even the ones I repurchase and have worked for years, I need to really look into some alternative brands and options but I don’t want what I have to go to waste. I’ve considered the The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops in Lightening (£10.00) for ages but haven’t had a huge need, so I finally gave in and will post a review once I’ve tried it out properly.

May Collective Haul - Kiko Milano Nail Varnish

Kiko Milano: Finally, I needed a new nail colour to go with my outfit for a work colleagues wedding reception, so I felt my best option was Kiko and I wasn’t wrong. I picked up the Kiko Milano Power Pro Nail Lacquer in 55 Coral Rose (£3.90), a perfect match to my dress and I love these nail polishes easy to apply and long lasting.

So sorry for this short post for this month’s collective haul, I really picked up bugger all this month. Fortunately, I’m waiting for one or two items to be delivered and I have to go and buy a new straightener this weekend so June’s collective haul should be more exciting.

The Body Shop Sales Haul

Body Shop Sales Haul

The other weekend I was in bed ill with a sinus infection when I got a text from The Body Shop sharing the fact the 40% code was out getting you 40% off everything including sale items. Although I love The Body Shop I always try to save money and stock up when this deal/code is about as the saving are insane and I like to pick up a mix of items. I don’t think the sale is still on, as it has taken me a while to photograph and get the post up along with working around what I had already planned. I’m always impressed with The Body Shop, I ordered on Sunday 2nd April and the box arrived on my desk Tuesday 4th. Just emphasising my laziness in taking a week to get this up, still its nice to share my goodies.

April 2017 Sales Hail - Body Shop

I’ve paired these into what I have to say is fairly obvious pairings, first up is one of my favourite scents simply because it is so refreshing the Fuji Green Tea. As when you love any scent you have to get the shower gel, although nothing special I do love the scents they offer and always pick them up when on offer. I am so excited to use the Fuji Green Tea Shower Gel (£6.00 £3.50 £2.10), in the mornings. Then also from the Green Tea range I decided I wanted to try the Fuji Green Tea Body Sorbet (£8.50 £4.50 £2.70), I’ve never tried the Body Sorbets but they always feel cool and refreshing perfect for the summer.

In all my years of using the Body Shop I have always smelt but never used the peach range I thought it was time to change this, obviously starting again with the strong staple of Vineyard Peach Shower Gel (£5.00 £3.50 £2.10). Then I also picked up, what I am counting as an essential as I haven’t had a body scrub in a few months but I have a good feeling about the Vineyard Peah Body Scrub (£15.00 £7.50 £4.50). It smells so tasty.

The Body Shope Blueberry Body Butter & Camomile Cleansing Butter

Every sale I seem to pick up the Blueberry Body Butter (£15.00 £7.50 £4.50), I have one on the go right now but its my favourite scent so I feel like I might as well always have a back up available to me. Finally my last item, was full price before the 40% discount. However, I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter (£10.00 £6.00), and its about time I tried a cleansing balm/butter so I will be sure to post a review shortly.

If all items were the full retail price it would of cost me a whopping £59.50, if it was just sale price with one full price item it would have been £36.50 but instead it only cost £21.90. That’s roughly £3.65 a product and a saving of 63% which I cannot complain about. I seriously recommend you sign up to the newsletter so you are notified when these codes are about as the savings are insane and happen a few times a year. What do you love from The Body Shop let me know in the comments.

Collective September Haul ft Lush, Primark & Boots

So on Saturday I popped into town just for a potter around as see whats in shows now that the seasons have changed. I didn’t pick up anything major but I thought I would share the bits and pieces that I did pick up.

lush-haul-ft-milky-bath-butterball

So lets start with my every so often shop of Lush, where I am so restricted due to allergies and once again met with staff who cannot advise me on what products I can use. So I went for my old favourite and go to Butterball Bath Ballistic (£2.75), sure it’s not exciting but my skin feels great afterwards. In addition to the butterball I also picked up the Milky Bath Bubble Bar (£3.75), it looks super cute and once again is meant to be great for the skin.

boots-haul-garnier-skin-active

Then I decided to Boots in order to spend some of my advatange card points and in trying to not by more makeup I went to skincare and there was a deal on for garnier micellar waters and moisturisers which had money off as well as getting a water infuser bottle. The water infusion bottles I have always wondered about but were never sure they were worth it. Anyway I picked up the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water (£5.99 £3.99), which I think will be interesting to try and I will keep you posted on how I get on possibly a review. Also as its turning into Autumn/Winter my face gets so dry so it felt right to switch out what I am usually using for the Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Super-Hydrating Antioxident Moisturiser (£7.99 £5.33), I will keep you posted on how I found it.

primark-haul-ft-ps-love

The final stop on Saturday was Primark, and I felt fairly uninspired with the clothes at least at the moment but maybe as they weather fully gets into Autumn I may do. As it gets cooler I love chilling in the evening with a hot chocolate, some TV and light a candle so I picked up two, No. 15 Plum and Vanilla Candle (£1.00) and Pink Grapefruit Candle (£1.00). I am one of those people who like to change scents all the time, so as well as being cute these little ones are great if you like to change things up all the time. I was running out so I have to pick up the P.S Love This Round Cosmetic Pads (£0.50 each), if you haven’t got them you should, I picked up two packs. Finally I’m getting ready for Christmas early, as these P.S Christmas Snowflake Nails (£1.50) are so cute and they are slightly more winter than Christmas I cannot wait to wear them.

Have you checked out the high street for the latest season’s clothes, what trends are you loving at the moment? Also have you picked up anything good recently?

Feel Unique Sales Haul

feel-unique-sales-haul-ft-fluer-de-force-elegant-touch-rimmelSeptember is when you can pick up some of the best sale items and I couldn’t help myself pick up a few things from Feel Unique, I managed to stay away from pricier items to save my money for other items.

nxy-soft-lip-cream-in-20-copenhagenrimmel-london-moisture-renew-lip-liner

So let’s start with the lips, if you saw my lipstick diaries post from Tuesday you’ll know I like to stay in my comfort zone and my first purchase is me trying to break out with a bold, dark colour and trying NYX at the same time. So I got the NXY Soft Lip Cream in 20 Copenhagen (£5.50), this is perfect for Autumn and I cannot wait to give it a go and see if I can embrace the bold lips. I kept wondering about getting an all-purpose lip liner and the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner (£3.99 £2.99) seemed perfect, cannot wait to see if it works wonders.

fluer-de-force-eyeshadow-quad-in-020-lunar-rose

I need another pallet like I need a whole in the head but I have always been curious to try Fluer’s Makeup and the offer was too good to pass up. Only the Fluer De Force Eyeshadow Quad in 020 Lunar Rose (£7.99 £2.40), was reduced but it is such a wearable pallet and i cannot wait to put it to the test.

In the summer I was obsessed with Primarks Nails and sometimes I missed wearing my own polishes but some would look better on a longer nail so I thought I would try the Elegant Touch Totally Bare Short Stiletto (£4.65 £3.45). You never know I might even try nail art . . Finally was an essential purchase as I am all out of body scrub, and I’m loving cocoa butter products at the moment so I couldn’t resist the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Cocoa Body Scrub (£4.99 £3.74). Also if I like it it’s such an affordable and easily affordable product.

Overall I don’t think that I did too bad and I picked up a lot of savings, on top of the £9.04 made on picking sales items I also got a random £0.55 discount and used my Pick n Mix Voucher the final order came to £13.58! Insane isn’t it? and I’m so pleased with all of my purchases I cannot wait to try them out. Let me know what you would like to see reviewed in the comments.

Peterborough Haul

Peterborough Haul

Another day another haul, the other weekend I met up with a friend in Peterborough for a good ol girly catch up filled with shopping what more could you want. I have to say we didn’t go as mad as we have done previously so here is a very restrained haul full of goodies.

TK Maxx Haul - The Creme Shop & Illamasqua

First stop is TK Maxx somewhere that sometimes has everything sometimes has nothing but this time I feel as though I picked up some great bargains. I am so pleased with this first thing which is the Illamasqua Powder Blush Duo (£26 £5.99), review and swatches will be up shortly but I think it is insanely pretty. Has anyone else seen those funky designed Koren Face Masks? Well you can pick them up in TK Maxx I got The Crème Shop Drink Up Skin Face Masks (£4.99) which have a cute penguin design.

Superdrug Haul - Collection, Barry M & L'oreal Paris

Superdrug had another 3 for 2 offer on makeup so obviously this means 3 items had to be brought, two essential repurchases has I have to keep my face looking pretty. So of course the L’oreal True Match Foundation in Rosy Ivory (£9.99) and Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 Fair (free in offer), much needed essentials. My final purchase was the super interesting Barry M Flawless Brightening Primer (£5.99), the purple colour is super interesting and I cannot wait to try it.

H&M Heavy Leggings

Only one thing from H&M, another set of Heavy Leggings (£7.99) I love these leggings, and they are one of the few pairs which don’t show your pants.

Finally a restrained Primark trip, just one item of clothing though this super cute Collared Jumper (£5) which was in the sale and perfect for work. Also in the sale were these cute glittery flip flops (£0.90), I tend to get a new pair every year and this nudey pink colour should go with everything. Finally ending in the beauty section with the best cotton pads ever, PS Love This Round Cosmetic Pads (£0.50) if you haven’t tried them you should, some endlessly useful P.S Love Your Skin Gentle Cleansing Wipes (£1.00). Finally I repurchased the PS Plain False Nails (£1.00), I used a set mid-July and was absolutely obsessed, so I had to buy another set.

So that’s all I’ve picked up for now but I am tempted to pick up more at the end of summer sales, soon so expect more hauls coming shortly.

Feel Unique Pick N Mix

Feel Unique Pick n Mix Samples

One day when lusting over various items on the Feel Unique website I can across Pick ‘N’ Mix Pick ‘N’ Mix and was instantly intrigued. I’ve always loved the idea of subscription boxes but I rather pick what I get and I don’t want to be committed to a subscription or remember to cancel so this Fee Unique thing seemed ideal.

So how does it work? At a maximum of once a month you can pick up to 5 samples to try over a huge range of products and sample types, then simply pay the £3.95 shipping and handling fee, and these goodies will come to you. Even better you will get the £3.95 back as a voucher towards future purchases and as someone who uses feel unique regularly I didn’t really have a lot to loose so spent hours looking though the makeup, skincare, fragrance etc. samples to pick a range of stuff I wanted to try.

As Feel Unique sell all these items, all the information is there including reviews and the samples are great at giving volumes and packet type. I chose to avoid sachets as I want to give a product a semi decent try. So what did I pick and what did I think.

Bioderma Make-Up Removing Micelle Solution (10ml, worth £0.50): So excited for this first pick, I’ve never tried bioderma before and I am curious to find out what all of the hype is about. Only downside of this sample is that’s its single use.

Trilogy Everything Balm (Sample 18ml, worth £4.07): Who doesn’t want to find a holy grail item that does everything, from body moisturiser to lip balm this promises to be an all-purpose balm for everything and I cannot wait to see if that fact holds up.

Prada Candy Kiss Eau De Parfum Spray (1.5ml, worth £2.25): I love Prada Candy and I am curious to try the Prada Candy Kiss version, I cannot wait to try it and pop it in my handbag as a cute little sample. It’s always nice to have a little perfume sample.

Nude by Nature Perfecting Concealer (2ml, £6.60 per ml): We all love a good concealer and I will take any opportunity to try one. I’ve given this a swatch on the back of my hand its so rich and creamy and I think it’s a good match.

Caricara Diamond of Beauty Eye Day & Night Programme (2 x 2ml, worth £34.66): My last choice was based on nothing but the desire to try something high-end that I would never even give a second chance. Let’s see what this can do for me and my tired eyes.

I’m really looking forward to trying these and I think it is a great service if you like the idea of trying samples but don’t want a monthly subscription you can pick 5 things you are curious or really want to try and then it comes straight to you. I cannot believe its only £3.95 and the voucher is already loaded onto my account ready for my next order.

What do you think? Tempted to try this service from feel unique, let me know in the comments.

Boots Skincare and Primark Beauty Haul

So todays post is a mixed, predominately beauty related haul featuring skincare from Boots, and makeup from Primark and Superdrug. I’m trying to be controlled in spending and I love trying out budget items, so expect reviews shortly.

First up is Boots, I like to test out different budget and own brand items as I believe that you don’t have to spend a fortune on skincare to have great skin, it is all about a good routine. I often experience breakouts at my time of the month but I wondered if there was a way to reduce this so I thought I would try out Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Range , so I am starting off with the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash and Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Peel Off Face Mask, for nothing other than I am in need of these two products. I also picked up the Boots Simply Sensitive Gentle Micellar Water, as I’m a lazy girl who loves trying loads of micellar water.

Finally a bit random to haul but it’s essential for me as I had allergic reactions to a lot of bug bites, this cream works wonders the Boots Bite and Sting Antihistamine Cream. I buy a new cream every year as these things are definitely always best fresh.

I seemed to of managed to be extremely controlled in Primark, saying that I did buy the P.S Love 9 Shade Eyeshadow Palette. However with such beautiful shades which could easily work together, I cannot wait to try it out and swatch them I feel like for £2.50 that I couldn’t go wrong. The other thing I picked up in Primark was the P.S Love Round Cotton Wool Pads, I highly recommend buying your cotton wool pads at Primark great quality and only 50p for 120 pads.

Primark Cotton Pads, Ps Love Eyeshadow Palette & Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Finally just the one item from Superdrug, I was in need of a new concealer and instead of repurchasing the Wake Me Up! Concealer I thought I would make a long overdue return to the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I fancied a change and cannot wait to use this cult favourite again.

Have you picked up any beauty bargain recently, let me know what I’m missing down in the comments.

Small May Collective Haul

I’ve picked up a few bits and pieces this month and I thought I would share them, with you now. Earlier in the month I posted a fashion haul and you can check that out here. I placed a New Look order yesterday, and I am going shopping this weekend so expect more hauls coming in June I’ve saved up and I am #feelingspendy.  For now it is all budget friendly essentials.

Morocian Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

First up I picked up some shampoo and conditioner from Poundland, at home I use TRESemme in the huge bottles so for the gym/swimming I like to try out some different and smaller shampoos. I love a lot of the oil infused shampoo and conditioner and managed to find the matching set so picked up the Macadamia Oil Extract Shampoo & Conditioner, fingers crossed this works well.

Tesco Everyday Value Cotton Wool Pads and Tesco Nail Varnish Remover

Sometimes it’s easiest to pig up bits and pieces as you are doing your weekly shop which is why the next two essential bits are from Tesco. I was running low on nail polish remover and find that the Tesco Beauty Nail Polish Remover is one of the best, really affordable and it gets off polish really easily. I’m not overly fussy over cotton pads, those soft under baby are often softer but I’m happy to use the cheap ranges, as I needed some desperately and picked up the Tesco Everyday Value Cotton Wool Pads.

Boots Essentials Cleanser, Toner and Exfolitating Sponge

Obviously it is impossible not to buy something at Boots when you go in, thankfully I managed to just buy essentials and although I had not run out at the time of purchase with 3 for £3.00, in addition to getting 100 bonus points I might as buy at this point. So I once again repurchase the Boots Essentials Cucumber Cream Cleanser and Boots Essentials Cucumber Facial Toner, I love these they are super affordable and great for makeup removal and general skincare. The third item I picked up was the Boots Essentials Exfoliating Facial Sponge, which I am curious to try out as part of my skincare routine.

Have you picked up anything good recently? Let me know in the comments below, and if there are good things to keep my eye out for.
