September Collective Haul

I’m back everyone! Did you miss me? Probably not but regardless I’m back after having to take some time out to look after my mum, we are getting there and I am now going to start getting back into blogging. So, I am easing myself in with a little collective haul.

Primark: I love a bit of Primark, also purchasing a pair of heels which is not showcased here. I haven’t purchased any Primark clothes recently as I am trying to show restraint not buying what I don’t need. At the end of October me and my friend are having a week away staying in a variety of Air Bnb and hotels, so I picked up a pair of Love to Lounge Grey Footlets (£3.00) for when I want to be comfortable but don’t necessarily want to walk around bare foot like I would do at home. They are super handy and pack small, so seem like a no brainer and I can wear them when I get home, these also have structural integrity so shouldn’t slip off my feet all the time like the fluffy Primark ones tend to do. Also for the trip I picked up some PS Micellar Cleansing Water (£0.90), I’ve previously used the full size version and it’s not a bad product saving room in my bag. If you want to see my review of the PS Micellar Water you can check it out here

September Collective Haul - Collection Velvet Kiss

ASDA: After thinking about it for a little while, something took hold of me and I felt like I needed to own a purple lipstick. So I went for the affordable route just in case it wasn’t my colour or my thing, and I also wanted to try something different with the Collection Velvet Kiss Moisturising Lip Cream in Blackberry (£2.98). Fingers crossed this goes well as I am apprehensive about such a dark/bold colour. (Not Photographed, opss)

September Collective Haul - Superdrug Makeup

Superdrug: Seems like everywhere was doing 3 for 2 on makeup in September but I prefer the flexibility offered with Superdrug as it offers it across all makeup brands. So I took advantage of the offer and picked up some bits I actually needed for once. First and most important was the Collection Primed and Ready Invisible Setting Powder in 01 (£3.99 free), which is fast becoming my favourite powder for setting my makeup and using as a base it keeps my skin looking flawless. Just before going shopping I just had to throw out of my mascaras, I can never resist trying something different and I felt like trying a new L’Oreal Paris mascara so on a whim I picked up the L’Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Mascara in Black (£7.99). The third item I picked up was the Barry M It’s a Brow Thing Shape and Define Brow Powder in Medium (£4.99), I just felt like trying something different for my brows so keep your eyes peeled letting you know how I got on.

September Collective Haul - Fluke

Waterstones: I have brought a book in ages, physical or digital, as I was re-reading what I had but I was having a spendy day and just felt like it really. Fluke by Joseph Mazur (£9.99) has been on my list for a while as I prefer those smart thinking books. So next month I’m going to stop looking at my screen before bed and start reading more.

I also picked up a yoga matt, some cute heels and fun headphones all of which I’d used before getting round to photographing as I just seem to excited to use the items and they aren’t the easiest to store before photographing. I’ll get back into the swing of photography and writing soon but it’s been a busy month and I will be trying to get back into the swing of things throughout October, I have a lot planned so hopefully I can get over the hump and get back into creating posts I love.

August Primark Haul

It’s been a slightly spendy month, or picking up all sorts or little bits. If you wish to see the random bits I picked up this month, then you can check out my collective haul here but now is all the bits I picked up in Primark over two trips.

Primark Take One: I find Primark is one of those stores where you can find everything you want one trip and absolutely nothing the next time, so this trip into my one in town I just picked up some basics. Starting with some of my usual Primark goodies, I love the PS Cotton Pads (£0.50 each) which I use to remove my makeup daily, highly affordable and a great production. I’ve always used these before posting but I’m tempted to pick up another set as they are so cute, and look stunning so don’t hesitate to pick up some PS Almond Nails in Silk Gray (£1.00). How cure is this Mini Tin Candle in Pink Fizz (£2.00), and it smells delicious basically I have no will power. Finally, a repurchase as my last pair were dying, I wear the Slipper Shoes (£4.00) pretty much daily so I pick up a pair every few months or so.

Primark Take Two: Still feeling uninspired by the clothes but needing to stock up on the basics, I managed to do a small amount of damage on my second trick to Primark this month. Okay this first item is not a basic or an essential, but I cannot resist Pusheen, I brought the other Pusheen PJ leggings for my mother a bit back and when I saw the Pusheen PJ Leggings (£8.00) in the alternative design I knew I had to have them for myself.

Back to the basics, I’m a girl that lives in leggings but a few of my pairs are dying on me due to over wear but I need to wait until winter for some of the thick legging to come back into store. I saw these Zip Ponte Leggings (£8.00), which are slightly closer to a tregging so I might be able to get away with them for work, added bonus they are so damn comfy. I also picked up these slightly different looking Regular Space Dye Leggings (£8.00), which are slightly closer to a jogger than a legging. I haven’t worn joggers since my pre-teens but with the skinny leg and slouchy look being acceptable, I thought why not. I also picked up the essential Black Long Line Cami (£3.00) and Navy Stretch Vest (£2.50) as my previous ones are getting old and starting to get holes in them.

Final item for the Primark haul is rather unexciting Body Puff White (£1.00), but I couldn’t remember the last time I changed my poof so it was clearly time to pick up a new one.

Have you brought anything from Primark recently? Let me know what your winners are and what I should keep an eye out for.

August Collective Haul

It’s that time again, let see some of the junk I spent my money on in August. No hesitation let’s get into this.

Bells Shoes: If you haven’t heard of Bell Shoes I seriously recommend checking them out, they offer a great range of name brand shoes at great discounts and offers. I’ve been looking at them for a while and finally brought myself of the Joules Rockingham Wellies in Black Bau Bloom (£34.95 £19.95), cute and 100% practical I think these will get some serious use in the autumn months.

Home Sense 'Skys the Limit' Notebook

Home Sense: I don’t always buy a lot from Home Sense but it is a shop I love to go to, but don’t always buy anything. I love the stationary section, which is where I found the most beautiful “THE SKIES THE LIMIT” Notebook (£4.99), I already know what I want to use if for and its going to look beautiful on my desk.

Boots Part One: I have no idea why I decided to pick up the Soap & Glory What a Peeling Purifying De-Clog Mask (£4.00), but I did. I think I wanted to try out some new masks, and this seemed like a good opportunity. I am looking to create a review shortly.

Superdrug: Another collective haul and another appearance of the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer (£4.99 £2.39), I’ll never do my makeup without it as such a core item and I made sure to pick it up on offer.

Boots Part Two: Although we all know the benefits of a proper skin care routine, if we are honest sometimes we just cannot be bothered with the effort and want a quick and easy option. With a voucher in hand I picked up the No 7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes (£5.00 £2.00), normally I find £7 a bit steep for wipes but one of the women from work gave me a voucher and £2.00 for a pack brings it in line with other wipes I may potentially purchase. Let’s see if these are worth the price tag.

What did you pick up this month? Let me know in the comments and I start to finally get around to unpacking the shopping bags and putting all of these items in their place. If you want more hauls, a Primark August Haul will be up next Friday, keep your eyes peeled.

July Collective Haul

As July winds down, it means just one thing its time for my monthly haul and favourites (which will be up Friday), lets delve into all of the goodies that I picked up this month

July Collective Haul - Collection Concealer & Rimmel Nail Polish

Asda: Asda, the one stop shop for all my essential and not so essential makeup items. I probably pick up more than hauled but it’s when I remember. As always, I picked up another Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 01 (£4.19), one day I may try something new again but not just yet. I was also on a mission the end of June/start of July to find a fun yellow nail polish, to embrace summer and have some mini Tour de France support and the first yellow shade I found was the Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in 452 Chin Up Buttercup (£2.99). It’s a supper fun, and bright yellow and although I prefer the one I found shortly after I’m glad I have this to mix up my nail polish collection.

July Collective Haul - Barry M

Boots: For the first time in a while I’ve shopped in Boots mainly because I don’t get into town much these days, there is a very small Boots near my work but it’s not worth shopping in as it holds very few lines. As I knew what I wanted I ordered online and picked up in store for free. I wanted a few Barry M items and with a 3 for 2 offer at the time I simply couldn’t resist. He main reason for the order was this delightful pastel yellow shade Barry M Coconut Infusion Gel Nail Paint in 707 Lemonade (£4.99), a perfect shade to embrace summer and my love of the Tour De France. I picked up another of the coconut infusion range as my “free item” , choosing the Barry M Coconut Infusion Gel Nail Paint in 714 Aloha (£4.99) which I felt was so fun and summary I just couldn’t resist and I love Barry M Nail Polishes. A summer must have for me is a setting spray, so I thought I would give the Barry M Flawless Mist & Fix Makeup Setting Spray Matte Finish (£4.99) its affordable and a matte finish is always a winner so I will put it to the test shortly.

The Body Shop: Once again in July The Body Shop did there 40% off everything including sale items, so with my mum we both purchased a few bits. This time all I wanted was a few more body sorbets and I simply couldn’t resist these delicious summer scents. I cannot wait to start using the The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet (£3.10) and The Body Shop Pinta Colada Body Sorbet (£3.10)

So, those are the bits I picked up over the course of July, did you guys get anything good? I’m planning to check out the summer sales shortly so August may be a shopper happy month.

June Collective Haul

Another month another haul, I feel like compared to other months I have brought more than previous months. So, let’s skip the introduction and get straight into all the lovely goodies I purchased in June.

Forever 21: Every so often I look at Forever 21 but don’t always buy, something made me think I’ll go for it and I thought I would try something a little bit different. Unfortunately, however much I loved it I have had to return the Contemporary Collared Shirt in Ivory (£15.00 £9.99), I just didn’t have the boob room but the material and quality of the embroidery was amazing so it ended up been such a shame. The other two items the Plus Size Super Skinny Jeans (£16.00) and Surplice Top in Peach (£11.99 £3.99), fit perfectly and in fact create a super cute casual outfit, comfortable and well made so I may be back to order more.

June Collective Haul - Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer

Body Care: I don’t think Body Care is a nationwide store but there’s two local to me and offers everything bath and body with a large amount of affordable skincare and makeup. I’ve run out of my Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer (£2.49), which was half its normal price right up my straight.

June Collective Haul - B&M - L'Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation

B&M: I love B&M, I know most people know about and rate food or homeware products but I think the beauty section is often highly underrated. Although you cannot guarantee the colours on offer there is often a large range of Rimmel, L’Oreal and Revlon foundations as well as mascaras for at least 50% off. All are sealed in their own packets so if you want to save on amazing product check it out. I’d been curious about the L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24-Hour Matte Foundation in 10 Porcelain, for a while and it was marked down to £4.99, near enough half price. I won’t open it now but it was too good to miss and I will post a review down the road for sure.

June Collective Haul - Superdrug - Freedom Brow Duo

Superdrug: I’ve been doing better this year of not buying makeup I do not necessarily need, but I felt like it was finally time to buy some proper brow powder opposed to a brow pencil or some suitable eyeshadow. I was amazed by the shade range and low price point offered by freedom so thought I would give them a go and brought the Freedom Duo Brow Powder in Medium Brown (£3.00) for myself and the Freedom Duo Brow Powder in Blonde (£3.00) for my mum.

June Collective Haul - Primark - PJs & Flipflops

Primark: I’ve not felt overall inspired by summer fashion this month, however I simply could not resist these Pusheen PJ Leggings (£8.00) as they are so cute. I was less sure on the top for this set, and I have plenty of PJ tops but these leggings I just couldn’t resist and I love these types of Primark PJ’s I have owned several in the past. I also picked up some summer essentials these Black Flipflops (£0.90), are so affordable and are such a great option for the summer you don’t need to worry about if they don’t last.

In addition to those pictured above, I also brought a new straightener the Remington S5525 Pro-Ceramic Extra Hair Straightener from Argos (£34.99). My last pair of straighteners gave up after something close to 5/6 years so it’s a good run. I love Remington straighteners and with longish, very thick hair I prefer a wider straightener to save time and have a better finish.

So that’s a slightly bigger pile of goodies than usual for June but I’m so happy with everything I’ve picked up. What did you buy in June?

May Collective Haul

May Collective Haul

After a month off in April I am back with another monthly collective haul, once again with some of the goodies I picked up this month. So lets not beat around the bush and dive in.

May Collective Haul - Collection Extreme Eyeliner & George Matte Foundation

ASDA: I think Asda has to be one of my go to locations these days for basics as its so close to work and I can easily pop in or the way in or way home, it’s a trip to town these days for the likes of Boots/Superdrug so its definitely my go to. This month my liquid eyeliner dried up and in search of a new one I decided to give the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Black 2.98), I’m been trying it out recently and a review should be up in the next couple of weeks. I also feel like I need to try some more George makeup as you never know what gems you may find, so what I thought I would try the George Matte Foundation with Shine Control & Chamomile in Warm Ivory (£3.00) the colour seemed a good match and I feel like it will be good as we get into summer. I’ve posted my review of the George Matte Foundation earlier this week which you can find here.

May Collective Haul - The Body Shop Lightening Drops

The Body Shop: Recently I have been struggling with getting foundations to match even the ones I repurchase and have worked for years, I need to really look into some alternative brands and options but I don’t want what I have to go to waste. I’ve considered the The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops in Lightening (£10.00) for ages but haven’t had a huge need, so I finally gave in and will post a review once I’ve tried it out properly.

May Collective Haul - Kiko Milano Nail Varnish

Kiko Milano: Finally, I needed a new nail colour to go with my outfit for a work colleagues wedding reception, so I felt my best option was Kiko and I wasn’t wrong. I picked up the Kiko Milano Power Pro Nail Lacquer in 55 Coral Rose (£3.90), a perfect match to my dress and I love these nail polishes easy to apply and long lasting.

So sorry for this short post for this month’s collective haul, I really picked up bugger all this month. Fortunately, I’m waiting for one or two items to be delivered and I have to go and buy a new straightener this weekend so June’s collective haul should be more exciting.

March Collective Haul

It’s that time again, monthly haul time. With gifts for my birthday I haven’t actually done a huge amount of buying this month just the 6 products included so not much of a haul. Still a little sneak peek coming up and amazingly despite my no buy rule I have purchased two lip products.

Primark: I’m not feeling the Primark clothing this season but I fell head over heels in love with this Winne the Pooh Travel Mug (£3.50), it’s so cute and not too childish. Perfect for morning when I need that second cup of coffee on the way to work, I cannot get enough of this mug. Although right now I have tended to prefer using a brush to apply my foundation at the moment I still love sponges for concealer plus it’s good to have some on hand therefore I picked up the PS 2pk Blender Sponge (£1.50).

george-tint-n-pout-lip-oil-in-barely-there

ASDA: I am the queen of failing my new year’s resolutions, or Beauty Resolutions for that matter. I definitely did not need another lip product, but I’ve never tried a lip oil before so maybe I can justify it in my head. You may have already see the review though, but this month I brought and tried the George Asda Tint and Pout Tinted Lip Oil (£4.00).

Boots Haul ft NXY and Collection

Boots: Seeing as it was my birthday I decided to treat myself to another NXY Soft Matte Lip Cream I love my other two shades with the vampy Copenhagen and bright San Paulo, I decided I wanted a more natural every day shade. I ended up picking up the NXY Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes, I’m testing it out now and if everything goes to plan the full review will be up in the next week or so. I also repurchased again the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 01 Fair, simply a staple in my makeup collection that I would never be without.

Let me know in the comments what you have picked up recently and what should be on my shopping list.

February Collective Haul

With February drawing to a close it is time again for my monthly collective haul, its not a big month for stuff but I thought I would share the few things I picked up.

asda-haul-ft-loreal-true-match

ASDA: I love it when you’ve run out foundation and not only can you find it in Asda its on offer too. The L’Oreal True Match Foundation in Ivory Rose (£7.00), is my go to foundation I always have a bottle on hand, the best colour match and I love the feel of it too.

suoerdrug-haul-ft-nivea

Superdrug: Just a few basics this month from Superdrug this month. It’s been a good month or two since I last had the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer (£2.49), I’m not sure why maybe it’s because I was trying out other products but I’m glad to have it back in my life it’s the best makeup base I have ever had. Other than that, I picked up another boring essential with the Nivea Protect and Care Antiperspirant (£1.63), a good go to deodorant although to be honest I’m not fussy this one is a good one though.

Primark: With my last pair on the way out I once again picked up another pair of the Flat Faux Suede Pumps (£4.00), they are great for everyday and go with a lot of outfits. I’m never without a pair, plus something more expensive never lasts that much longer than these ones. Then after a few failed clothes try-ons I hit up the beauty section, picking more of my favourite Cotton Wool Pads (£0.50 each), some of the cheapest around and they get the job done. Finally, out of curiosity I picked up the PS Micellar Cleansing Water (£2.00), I’m obsessed with micellar waters so I had to try another one and this one is so affordable. Keep your eyes peeled for a review.

So what did you pick up in February, let me know in the comments below.

January 2017 Collective Haul

In case you missed my Beauty Resolutions at the start of the month, I am trying to only buy what I need so I thought I would start again with my monthly collective hauls. It’s just a nice way to share anything I’ve brought and I already know I will be buying less this year, as I am trying to do one in one out with beauty products but I’m also only buying clothes I need so I actually like and wear what I own. So in the month of huge sales how much resistance have I managed to shop

Leia Factory Shop: If you are busty you know sometimes finding a good bra can be expensive and I feel like Leia is one of the best kept secrets the website often has 50% off sales but I live fairly closed to the factory outlet a tiny shop filled with racks of bras. A couple of times of years they have major sales where the bras are so cheap and I love the Freya Decos, I showed restraint after buying a few back in October so I left with two Bra and two pants which match (the purple matches a previous bra.)

january-collective-haul-leia

Deco Vibe (£36 £9, 75% off), Deco Delight (£34 £9, 74% off), Deco Vibe Shorts (£13 £3 each 77% off)

If you are curious about the shop and what they offer you can check out Leia here, but as you can see the sales are definitely worth it.

primark-nude-zip-tote

Primark: I am currently on the lookout for a nice, expensive(ish) bag but in the mean time I need a smart bag for work as my current bag is looking a little bit worse for wear. Although I’d tend to go for a black bag I fell in love with this Nude Zip Tote Bag (£9.00), I couldn’t resist and its relatively inexpensive. Also its huge I’m going to transfer all my stuff across shortly.

boots-janauary-collective-haul

Boots: January was a month to stock up on some basics once again, I’ve fallen in love with the Boots Essentials Cucumber Cleansing Wipes (£1.00 each) and with a points bonus it made sense to stock up now. Continuing with basics in the month of December I was constantly foing my nails for various occasions and I’m almost out of nail polish remover so I thought I would give the Boots 2-In-1 Nail Polish Remover (£1.29), I’m not loyal with nail polish removers and tend to buy what’s there.

january-collective-haul-boots

My skin is so dry at the moment so I’m going made with face masks in order to give my skin some much needed TLC, so while it was on offer I picked up a couple of the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask (£0.99 each). I’ve got one already but I cannot wait to put them to the test.

The final thing I picked up was the Revlon All In One Ultimate Mascara (£9.99), I cannot wait to give it a go as I love as I desperately need a new mascara. Don’t worry I will post a review shortly.

What have you picked up in January either in the sales or in general. I’ve still got a few items on my list so there will still be more hauls don’t worry.

Collective September Haul ft Lush, Primark & Boots

So on Saturday I popped into town just for a potter around as see whats in shows now that the seasons have changed. I didn’t pick up anything major but I thought I would share the bits and pieces that I did pick up.

lush-haul-ft-milky-bath-butterball

So lets start with my every so often shop of Lush, where I am so restricted due to allergies and once again met with staff who cannot advise me on what products I can use. So I went for my old favourite and go to Butterball Bath Ballistic (£2.75), sure it’s not exciting but my skin feels great afterwards. In addition to the butterball I also picked up the Milky Bath Bubble Bar (£3.75), it looks super cute and once again is meant to be great for the skin.

boots-haul-garnier-skin-active

Then I decided to Boots in order to spend some of my advatange card points and in trying to not by more makeup I went to skincare and there was a deal on for garnier micellar waters and moisturisers which had money off as well as getting a water infuser bottle. The water infusion bottles I have always wondered about but were never sure they were worth it. Anyway I picked up the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water (£5.99 £3.99), which I think will be interesting to try and I will keep you posted on how I get on possibly a review. Also as its turning into Autumn/Winter my face gets so dry so it felt right to switch out what I am usually using for the Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Super-Hydrating Antioxident Moisturiser (£7.99 £5.33), I will keep you posted on how I found it.

primark-haul-ft-ps-love

The final stop on Saturday was Primark, and I felt fairly uninspired with the clothes at least at the moment but maybe as they weather fully gets into Autumn I may do. As it gets cooler I love chilling in the evening with a hot chocolate, some TV and light a candle so I picked up two, No. 15 Plum and Vanilla Candle (£1.00) and Pink Grapefruit Candle (£1.00). I am one of those people who like to change scents all the time, so as well as being cute these little ones are great if you like to change things up all the time. I was running out so I have to pick up the P.S Love This Round Cosmetic Pads (£0.50 each), if you haven’t got them you should, I picked up two packs. Finally I’m getting ready for Christmas early, as these P.S Christmas Snowflake Nails (£1.50) are so cute and they are slightly more winter than Christmas I cannot wait to wear them.

Have you checked out the high street for the latest season’s clothes, what trends are you loving at the moment? Also have you picked up anything good recently?
