2015 Favourites

Wow 2015 went bloody quick, I cannot believe it is January already. So I thought I would take one more look back on 2015 with a look at all the products which I have loved the most over 2015, most of these have appeared in a favourites or two and these are the ultimate favourites of the year.

Starting off is with a concealer I have repurchased twice this year the Rimmel London Wake Me Up! Concealer in Ivory, this is a great under eye concealer like the wake me up foundation really brightens and wakes up the face. You’ll never be able to tell you have huge dark circles from lack of sleep and long days of work.

Although mentioned at various points I don’t feel as though I’ve shared my love of this enough over the year, the Rimmel London Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob is a beautiful Kylie Jenner type lip colour. On its own or under something else, I have used two of these and have two more currently in my makeup stash its often sold out so I stock up when I manage to find it in stores. You can read the review here.

2015 eye ft urban decay, maybelline & bareminerals

For more than a year now I have being loving pinky neutral eyes, it complements a fair skin tone and contrasts my blue eyes. I’ve been loving the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette ever since I first got it and I’ve written and extensive review of the palette which you can read here. It’s just highly versatile and I reach for it day after day, for work, for nights out its endlessly versatile and so damn pretty. Along with this is something I brought the second half of the year, the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Gel-Crème Eyeshadow in Pink Gold perfect on its own or as a base for any look I create with the Naked 3. I just love how pretty and how long lasting it is, I think I may try more of the range but due to its ease to fit my makeup it slips perfectly into my collection.Just a brief mention of the Urban Decay Primer Potion, I mention it all the time with any routine and it several favourites. The travel size is all you need as this has lasted me forever despite only being the travel size you don’t need anything more.

Most of the time, high end mascaras including the Benefit Roller lash end up disappointing me as I find better budget counter parts the Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara is worth the money. Its narrow brush allows you to get right to the root in which helps add volume and definition to your lashes. It layers up without clumping and just leaves your lashes looking volumous and fluttery.

2015 hair ft tangle teezer

Although a pastel blue shade is not suitable for this time of year, the Barry M Speed Dry in Eat My Dust has seen so much use this work. This was my favourite shade of the speed dry collection and I would endlessly repaint my nails with it. My other go to choice this year was the Illimasqua Nail Polish in Viridian, a beautiful deep forest green which oddly reminded me of Christmas a lot. It was the perfect shade for winter still dark and metallic but slightly different due to the green hue.

Miceller Waters have really transformed my skincare and makeup removal, so easy to use perfect for if you are a little bit lazy bit they throughly clean and cleanse your skin. My favourite out the ones I’ve tried was the Ganier Miceller Cleansing Water, it’s a huge bottle and lasts ages. I’ve also brought the travel size which was great for travel, I highly recommend giving it ago if you haven’t already.

Another brief mention here of the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer, I’ve mentioned it loads over the 18months I’ve been blogging and I’ve been using it for three or four years now. It’s such a deeply moisturising primer that really leaves your skin feeling fresh.

For years I always struggled to find a brush that went through my hair, so for years I used one of my mums old brushes from the 80s which was really good but I wanted to find something better. I don’t know why I put of using the Tangle Teezer for so long but they are worth the investment as they brush through so well and so easily. I’ve also fallen in love with Hair Oils although there is no particular oil I’ve loved more than any other but they’ve left my hair feeling soft and silky, I also find the smell delightfully. I have the Umberto Giannini Miracle Worker with Argan Oil which is my favourite and and I’ve used sparingly throughout using the others, you can read my first impressions review of it from this time last year here.

So that’s what I’ve loved throughout 2015, what have you loved using or trying throughout 2015? Also what are you looking forward in 2016?

Prepping for Holiday

glamorous-and-gorgeous-slc003-pamper-yourself-3003234-0-1329343680000

Of course we all want to look our best while on holiday and I for one am no exception, of course as mentioned I’m only going to Cornwall but as my only holiday this summer. So this is how I make myself beautiful for holiday.

Smooth Legs ft body shop, laura ashley, gillette

Shave and moisturise:

For summer we all want silky smooth skin, especially having beautiful soft silky legs as what else feels that amazing. So to start with I will use and exfoliator such as The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub Gelee, which smells so good you could almost eat it. This just removes any dead skin and really sets you up ready for shaving. Then onto the shaving using plenty of Satin Care Pure and Delicate Shave Gel paired with my Gillette Simply Venus Razor in order to achieve a close shave. If I want to be more thorough like I do when going away I tend to do this I will shave

In the sink so nothing gets missed and then jump back in the shower, usually using this time to use a hair mask so it’s not wasted or pointless. In order to keep my skin smooth I’ll use a body butter after shaving, I will always try to use a body butter daily but if all else fails I will use it after shaving. At the moment I am using the sweet floral Laura Ashley Imperial Bloom Body Butter, which is a nice break from my usual fruity Body Shop Body Butters.

fake tan ft johnsons

Even out skin tone

The week before coming away Christ it reached 35C back home however, when the sun comes out I still wear jeans/leggings or more often than not maxi skirts. So My legs and chest tan easily even with a high factor sun block but my legs are super pale so in order to rectify this I cheat. I am awful at traditional fake tan so I tend to opt for a gradual moisturising tanner although this is best when moisturising before still, at the moment I am using the Johnson’s Holiday Skin Lightglow Body Lotion. It may take longer to get the tan but its subtle and looks a lot more natural as you have more control.

Hair ft TRESemme, Body shop & tangle teezer

Silky Smooth Hair

About once a month I will use a hair mask depending on my hair condition but before going on holiday I will use a hair mask without fail. I’ll start washing my hair as normal with my trusty TRESemme Salon Silk Shampoo, just to ensure all the dirt, grime and grease is all removed. I’ve tried other shampoos but nothing leaves my hair as fresh and clean as TRESemme. Then I will pop out the shower squeeze my hair out, brush it through with my Tangle Teezer and even towel a lot of the excess moisture out. I will then take a small amount of The Body Shop Rain Forest Moisture Hair Butter  (read my review for it here), a little goes a long way with this one and I work it on my hands before thoroughly running it through the mid to ends of my hair. After running through my hair I will clip my hair on to the top of my head to keep the conditioner off my back. I then leave it in for 25/20 minutes which is longer than it usually says but it is definitely worth it. During this time I will do something else such as shaving my legs or some face exfoliating, basically using the time effectively.

Pretty Nails:

I like to keep things simple with my nails just one simple and pretty colour for my time away so it isn’t a huge amount of effort. I am using one of my favourites for a while which is the Barry M Speed Quick Dry in Eat My Dust, this is a beautiful pastel blue and I am so in love with it. I have used this with both my hands and feet as I’m so in love with it, a quick drying but long lasting nail polish.

There are some other things I may do but haven’t done this time such as a face mask or some foot TLC it just varies as I don’t always have what I need to hand. So what do you guys do before going away? Do you take the time to prepare of do you just decide it doesn’t matter your on holiday?

Summer Look Book

Summer Look Book
So with June now in full swing we can no longer deny that summer is almost upon us and I wanted to do a little look book but instead of me becoming slowly frustrated with taking pictures and my imperfect wardrobe I thought I’d do it this way. A small look at what is influencing my summer wardrobe this year.
As I tend to focus on beauty I’m going to start with it, as it gets to summer I am not a big fan of wearing of wearing heavy makeup in the summer and on really hot days I rather not wear it all. So this year I’m going to return to my love of neutrals keeping the eyes very simple ensuring I look effortless, I think to match my wardrobe I may end up getting a lot of use out of my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette sticking to pinky neutral tones. Unlike my face I am going to amp up the colour on my nails, keeping it which pastel tone but plenty of colour making it so simple and pretty. Especially with the Barry M Speedy pastel nail range it means I do not have to sit around waiting for my nails to dry. The effortless and lightness also continues into my wardrobe focusing on a simple palette of the basics with denim, white, black and other neutrals with the occasional flourish of a pink keeping it as a fairly interchangeable wardrobe.
What is your summer lookbook like, what are you looking to wear this summer.
Lots of Love,

May Favourites

May Favourites

Hi everyone,

Its that time again for looking back over every thing that I have been loving over may and kinda over April as I didn’t do one last month. So with exams, celebrations and music festivals its been a mixed bag this month and the weather hasn’t helped either.

Pastel Nail Polish

This month I have being loving pastel nails this month either having each colour individually or a beautiful pastel array. The first is one I have fallen in love again from last summer and its my NYC Expert Last Nail Polish in Lavender Cupcake, which is a beautiful lavender colour that literally needs two layers and you are set to go. I have also been loving the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Kiss Me Quick, a beautiful pastel pink colour it is definitely more of a cool toned pink but is ideal for summer and I think it will get a lot of use as it is suitable for special events and a more casual look. Finally if you want something much cooler then the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Eat My Dust, I think this is my favoirite out of these three but they are all of my favourites and I just cannot get enough of them

P.S. Love Blush Stick

As summer approaches out comes the coral tones and the cream based products, so I have been loving the Primark P.S. Love Blush Stick these don’t have names but it is the more coral tone. I really love it just dable it on, blend if on and you have long lasting blush all day. Plus the colour is perfect you can check out my swatches of this an initial review here.

Rimmel 9-in-1 cream

A product that I’ve only had since the end of April but I’ve been loving simply due to its simplicity and ease of use, so on mornings when I was tired form revision or didn’t want to think about my makeup the Rimmel London 9-in-1 BB Cream. It was just so simple to use and just evens you out, also all my other foundations tend to be a full coverage so it was nice to dabble with lighter product, you can check my full review of it here.

Ganier Micellar Cleansing Water

Another fairly new product to me but not a new concept and its the Ganier Micellar Cleansing Water, I picked this up after using up my L’Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar Water which I also loved but with the blogging blog I had to try something new. I have to say I absolutely love this especially as I picked it up on offer in Asda for £3.33, its so effortless to take off my make up simply wet a cotton pad, hold it over my eyes for a few seconds and it simply wipes everything away. I love the clean feeling and although I would love to have a more thorough skin care routine I don’t have the space or time to invest in the research to get a perfect routine but as it stand my current cobbled together routine has left my skin fairly decent.

The Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter

The final thing I have been loving and I feel as though I have mentioned it before which is The Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter, this stuff has lasted me quite a while but it smells so damn amazing. Also like all Body Shop Body Butters it is deeply hydrating and leaves your skin feeling amazing I just cannot get get enough of it.

So what have you guys been loving this month, also what do you think about this new format for favourites, I feel as though it is a lot more flowing than my previous favourites posts, so let me know.

Love

Superdrug Haul (Again)

Superdrug Haul ft rimmel and barry m

Once again I fell victim to offers in Superdrug and couldn’t resist it. So Superdrug did the 3 for 2 across makeup as well as the get 3 items and get a make up bag, I took full advantage of the 3 for 2 but I didn’t see the point in getting 3 makeup bags simply because I don’t need two identical makeup bags. Also I’m 21 the ‘#makeup’ has minimum appeal to me really. Also the cashier was lovely wanting to scan the items so I got the most out of it all in all saving me £11.99 taking my total from £35.45 to £23.46 so I love her for that. So anyway on to what I brought.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Skin Perfecting Full Coverage Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain: I love a full coverage foundation and I thought I’d give this ago I love Rimmel Foundations especially the wake me up the foundation. I know it seems crazy that I am opting for a full coverage foundation in the summer but it will be great for interviews to have a perfectly made up face as its a perfect colour it won’t look like heavy make up. I also Love how rimmel goes so light with shades. RRP: £7.99.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Concealer in 010 Porcelain: I always want to try new concealers and this ones is slightly different to the normal doe foot or brush type concealers and I was curious. I think I originally saw it on Vivianna Does Makeup Channel on youtube, so it makes you more curious than simply seeing it online. RRP £5.49.

Rimmel London BB Cream 9-in-1 in Very Light: I wasn’t sure which BB to go for this one or the radiance one which I suppose will be similar to the wake me up foundation line but I went for this. I also love that rimmel do a very light bb cream as often the shade light is not usually light enough so I was so excited for this. RRP £6.99.

Rimmel London Fix and Perfect Pro Primer: This was recommended to me ages ago by someone (if it was you I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten) but I wanted to wait until I used up my baby skin primers were used or almost used up. This is more of a cream texture opposed to some of the silicon primers I have used in the past but I’m excited to try this and see how it fits especially as I have normal to dry skin this may be great for me. RRP £6.99.

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in 450 Eat Me Dust: I really wanted some pretty pastel colours for spring/summer and I fell in love with this pretty pale blue, I think I may of also seen this on vivanna’s youtube too. I absolutely love it and I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of it this summer. RRP £3.99.

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in 503 Kiss Me Quick: Another pretty pastel in time for summer, I love pretty pink pastels as they are a great mix of nude and summery colours. I think I will also get loads of use out of this one. RRP £3.99.

Luckily I didn’t come out of superdrug with too much that I didn’t need and I’m excited to try it all out, I aim to do a review of a few of the items especially the bb cream as it is ideal for summer.

February Favourites

feb faves

It’s that time again February favourites and I found it really hard to come up with a list of favourites this month so tried to take note of what I’ve been reaching for again and again this month to come up with my list.

The Body Shop Lip Butter Mango: With chapped lips being common place in winter due to extremes of hot and cold lip butter is a must, and this one is simply delicious. I tend to use this at the end of the day at the end of my skin care routine but I’ll use it more if my kinds need a little bit more TLC.

The Body Shop Body Scrub in Blueberry: I love the blueberry scents and I wanted a softer scent than the Soap and Glory scrub but that worked just as well and this definitely does. This is one of those body shop scrubs that looks like jam and smells amazing, it doesn’t taste amazing though my boyfriend tried it. I use this every couple of days and my legs feel so soft and silky. I’m loving it although the blueberry scents are limited edition so once it runs out I’ll stock up, if I can’t I’ll try a different scent in this range.

Benefits Roller Lash Mascara:  This is the sample version I got free with Elle this month and I love it, I’m still debating over buying the full version of it as I cannot justify spending £19.50 on a mascara especially as I use it up in a few months, anyone else think this? I love it, it adds amazing curl but I’m a student and work part time it’s 3 hours wages. I can justify on spending more on long lasting products like eye shadow especially a naked palette where it can create so many different looks with. Anyway enough rambling what do you think?

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Lyche: I’m one of those girls that always has to have my nails done but I cannot always be bothered to constantly touch my nails so this nude has been my go to. I love the Barry M Gelly formulas they look amazing and go on so easily and look amazing.

Umberto Giannini Miracle Worker with Argan Oil: I’m loving hair oils at the moment, they are keeping my hair silky and in amazing condition at the moment. I have three hair oils on the go at the moment but this is the one I’ve been reaching for most often although I guess hair oils in general should be a monthly favourite.

Bonus Favourite: Lilies

So as we all known February meant Valentines day and my boyfriend brought me two bouquets of lilies to mix together my traditional favourite of while lilies with the prettiest pink ones too, I love it.

So not much make up this month as its either stuff I am still trailing or are just my go to stuff that I am always loving. What have you been loving in February and what are you looking forward to in march?

Make Up Collection Part Two

So on Saturday I uploaded the first half of this and here is the rest of my make up collection that is here with me at university.

DSCF4250

Sleek Face Form in Light: This is the ultimate drug store contour kit when you get the hang of it, pretty much everything your face in one place especially with such a beautiful blush and all 3 work together and blend so easily.

The Body Shop Extra Virgin Mineral in 102 Natural Ivory: This wasn’t a great foundation for me but I’ve almost hit pan and i’m mixing it with moisturiser and trying to make it work for me so it wasn’t £16.00 wasted.

Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer Classic: I use this daily in my t zone and cheeks just generally where I want my make up to last longer, it leaves a matte finish and feels amazing. The only downside is it is a little expensive for a drugstore silicon based primer but I would repurchase if its the best in the drug store.

MUA Blushes in Bon Bon and Lolly: These are near enough identical which is my fault as I brought one loved in went to buy another and clearly love that tone so much I brought a near identical one. These are incredible blushes though especially for only £1.00 each.

A very old Natural Collection Shimmer Powder.

Wet n Wild Natural Wear Pressed Powder in Ivory: I bought this at cosmetic fairy over the summer and it is slightly too dark for my natural collection however, its a lovely quality powder and I’ll break it out next summer when i have a slight natural tan.

Natural Collection Pressed Powder in Cool: This used to be my go to powder now I tend to opt for Collections but I still love it, the only reason its not been used as much is because I dropped it and its smashed so it’s definitely more of an apply at home thing than touch up at home. Good if you’re on a budget though.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Ivory: This unfortunately I got screwed over by feel unique as this was meant to be try me and it wasn’t, as when I asked where my sample was to test the colour I was told rudely it wasn’t one offered under try me despite it been advertised as try me. Regret buying it for feel unique as it is too dark but I’ve made doo mixed it with another foundation as it definitely add more CC to my standard foundation.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Light Porcelain: A true pale girl foundation and it leaves a perfect dewy brightening foundation that keeps you looking radiant and awake. Love this so much.

Make Up Academy Pressed Powder in Light: I bought this for travelling over the summer to keep in my bag for touch ups as for £1.00, its such a good powder and ideal to keep in my bag.

Collection Pressed Powder in Ivory: I have way too many pressed powders don’t I? This is by far my favourite pressed powder I’ve gone through so many and next time I’m in Superdrug/Boots as I’m hitting pan and I cannot live without it.

YSL Fusion Ink Foundation Sample: Totally lost my piece of paper with my colour on however, as its winter its too dark as I got matched for my colour about two days after coming back from holidaying in the south of france.

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer in Light: So yeah I don’t like it but I’m determined to use it as a concealer is useful especially as a pencil to stick in my bag.

Make Up Academy Cover and Conceal Wand In Light: This is great for covering small blemishes but is slightly on the watery side but its a £1.00 concealer and highly workable.

DSCF4253

Avon Eyeshadow Duo in Warm Cashmere: A beautiful natural matte duo that is perfect for everyday, forgot about it for a while brought  it back out the other day and been wearing it a lot since.

The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes in Warm: Perfect for a brown smoky eye, brilliant amount of product and lovely shadows, only downside is that its £16.00 for 4 eyeshadows.

MaxFactor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black Brown: I simply adore this mascara it’s essentially everything I’d ever want in a mascara, never going to go without this again.

Soap and Glory Its About Prime Eyeshadow Primer: Essentially just trying to use this up so I can open up my urban decay primer potion.

Rimmel Glam Eyes: The labels come of the back and I got it in a pound shop but its a lovely quad of colours only problem is some of the colours are tricky to use due to all the plastic dividers.

Make Up Academy Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tint in Stay and Girl Like Me: These are great for lazy days to add a wash of colour or use as a base for something else, definitely recommend and basically a touch up essential. It’s also essential for those who likes to sleep in just run over your eyelids as you run out the door.

Barry M Showgirl Mascara: This was a gift with purchase that I haven’t actually got round to using it as I’m getting better at not having 3/4 mascaras on the go at once. I will post a review possibly when I get round to trying it out.

Collection Colour Kohl Black Magic: My all time favourite eyeliner that I don’t think I will ever find a good replacement for and actually as its only £1.99 what is the point in trying to find something better.

DSCF4252

Make Up Academy Lip Lacquer in Tranquility: This is really the ultimate velvet/matte lip product, it honestly lasts ages and became a make up staple over the summer, especially as t held up so well throughout the day even when eating and drink.

Maybellene Baby Lips: This was a pound shop baby lips so I’m not sure what it is to its normal drug store equivilant and its an import however, this stuff is amazing and tends to stay in

3 Avon Lipstick Samples: I got these when avon had a stand at a careers day at my university, they had nothing related to me but I love get free samples and these are super nice lipsticks and colours.

Makeup Academy Lipstick in Bare: the ultimate budget nude, cannot get enough of this.

Barry M Cor Balmy in Adam and Eve: I love this balm but the scent is a little summery so I may retire this for a few months.

I’m honestly too lazy to get up and check the last few (lazy blogger I know), however I have so much stuff to do at the moment and some of these aren’t actually labelled as they’ve worn off. So how do you store your makeup and what are your favourites in your own collection?

Make Up Collection and Storage Part One

Okay I don’t really have proper storage and this isn’t really my full collection it is just everything that has come to university with me so I just thought I’d do a lovely little post of everything I own/use regularly enough to justify bringing.

DSCF4254

As you can see everything has its places and are relatively easy to get to and with my current set up this is the idea make up set up as its next to the window so I can do my make up effortlessly in natural light. So now I’ll show you the majority of my collection as I missed the odd bits out (because I’m useless) and then a mini opinion on each of them or what I use it for.

DSCF4244

L’oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing and Perfecting Milk: I haven’t used that much of this much as I’ve been swapping which products I’ve been using and so far I do like this.

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Body Butter: I love Body Shop body deeply hydrating and they smell delicious, I always by them on offer as they are a lot but I don’t think they are overpriced as a little can go a long way. So find your perfect scent and buy one.

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer Sensitive: The perfect base for everyday and I love this however, I feel like I’ve mentioned this loads. I have sensitive opposed to normal as I’ve been having more breakouts recently so I felt like this was best.

Superdrug Deep Action Anti Blemish Gel: This is a fairly recent purchase which I haven’t used that much yet but I am going to review once I feel like I’ve used this long enough to give and informed review.

Nivea Daily Essentials Regenerating Night Cream Normal and Combination Skin: On bucking up my skin care routine I’ve kept meaning to buy a night cream, this was half price in Superdrug and I love Nivea so it was a no brainer cannot wait to get used to incorporating it into my daily routine.

Superdrug Cleansing Face Wipes in Sensitive: Brought these and they were a complete dud, I couldn’t be bothered when I got in to do the full take off so decided to use a wipe then remove the rest fully later. Well it barely removed anything and my eye shadow was fully intact despite saying it even removes waterproof makeup. When I have enough (i have 3 already) I may do a disappointing products post.

The Body Shop Love Ect Body Lotion: When my hands are dry this typically comes in my bag with me I really need to move this into one of them, unfortunately love ect has been discontinued.

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Eye Makeup Remover: This is so thick and creamy and feels amazing on the skin I’m really enjoying it and will definitely repurchase it.

Tesco Everyday Value Facial Wipes: Honestly the best make up wipes I have ever used, it even removes tough waterproof makeup. I tend to only use wipes when I get in late or I’m feel really lazy but they are always handy to have around.

Superdrug Deep Action Pore-Cleansing Nose Strips: These were a buy one get one free item and they are alright and I will use them but they aren’t great.

DSCF4245

Sanex Zero Roll on: This is great for working out and is a really heavy duty deodorant.

Compressed Dove Antiperspirant in Beauty Finish and Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena: The pomegranate one is my favourite deodorant and my boyfriend loves it too so I have two as he tends to steal them.

Superdrug Nail Varnish Remover: This is almost done and is pretty much a bog standard and really good nail varnish remover, no point spending money where it isn’t needed.

Superdrug Moisturising Nail Varnish Remover: This I bought this as a replacement for the other one but this leaves an oily residue on the skin that I am really not keen on and it doesn’t feel likes it works as well but I will use it up.

Sainsburys and Superdrug Cotton Pads: I tend to buy the baby ones as they are much bigger and more useful for take makeup off although the small ones are good for nail varnish. However, I am currently stuck with all small as this is what happens when you ask your boyfriend to pick some up for you.

DSCF4246

Mark Hill De Frizz Control and Shine Spray: This was a pound shop gem and it was absolutely amazing I’m going to be sad when it’s used up as it was discontinued. Basically the most amazing light hold shine spray ever.

Aussie Miracle Recharge Shine Leave in Conditioner: I reviewed this the other day so check that out here.

Superdrug Extra Firm Hold Hair Spray: I used this occasionally and it holds so well, only problem with it is that it goes so stiff and crunchy so I’m on the look out for something new but will still have a high level of hold.

TRESemme Heat Defence Spray: Basically the ultimate heat defence spray which I cannot do without, something that everyone should own.

DSCF4247

Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo: Brought this for travel over the summer and its lasted me ages as I don’t use it that often but it is simply amazing although I’m not overly keen on the scent of the blush one.

The Body Shop Hair Chalk: I bought this last easter and haven’t used it overly much as I haven’t really had the occasion too, it is a stunningly beautiful colour and works really well even with dark brown hair.

Makeup Academy Pro-base Fixing Spray: I used this loads over the summer especially during long days of working events and its so good or I use it when I have like a 12 hour day out of the house due to lectures and work.

Foot Pack: This is absolutely amazing as I have such bad cracked feet and I constantly rebuy it.

DSCF4248

Urban Decay Naked 3: This was a gift from my boyfriend and I absolutely love it, i use it most days it is the most beautiful and pigmented shadows. I’d highly recommend it if you are considering a naked palette.

Makeup Academy Heaven and Earth Palette: The most perfect budget neutral palette and I’m getting close to hitting pan on one or two luckily I’m so obsessed with my naked palette this has been saved.

Make Up Academy Pretty Edgy Palette: The main reason I wanted this was that I really loved the packaging it is just absolutely beautiful and the colours are amazing too anyway, its definitely more of an evening look palette though.

Barry M Super Chic Palette (Superdrug Limited Edition): One of those saw it, wanted it and bought it as its beautiful despite being out of your comfort zone.

DSCF4249

So these are all my Elizabeth Arden Miniatures that I absolutely love in order there is: Green Tea; Mediterranean; Sunflower; Red Door and Pretty.

As this is a long post and it’s taken me a while to write I am splitting it in two and the second half will be up in a few days. I love finding out about different peoples make up storage options and their main collection how they lay out their everyday products. How do you store your makeup? Whats in your everyday make up collection?

Collective Haul

Untitled

So I’ve made several trips to Superdrug and an order from feel unique so I thought I’d show you what I’ve brought and some peaks at what I may be reviewing over the next month or so.

DSCF4233

First up some bits I picked up for my boyfriend as he always knows what he wants a product but not what does what so he just sends me into get these bits which is probably a mistake.

Nivea Men Post Shave Balm Sensitive: His kept moaning about wanting a new shave balm for ages and he loves his nivea one so I just added it to my feel unique order. He has liked the nivea products his has before although like most men he isn’t fussy what he has. Available from Feel Unique for £7.10.

Superdrug’s Deep Action Pore Cleansing Pads: His not one for a major skin care routine but wanted to get rid of his black heads and I saw these in Superdrug and grabbed them, just something simple and easy to use if and when he remembers to use it. I cannot find this online unfortunately but it is available at superdrug for around the £4/£5 mark.

Superdrugs Men’s Skincare Sensitive Hydrating Moisturiser: For ages he kept stealing mine or using my nivea express hydration primer so I got him his own and this one seemed decent Superdrug own brand is really good and he won’t appreciate branded anyway. Available from Superdrug for £4.49, mens superdrug own brand is current 2 for £6.00 at Superdrug.

Sorry for the camera flash in this one.

Barry M’s Glitterati Nail Paint in Rock Star & Fashion Icon: I bought these a while back and I’ve already have posted a mini review and pictures of it, read it here.

Barry M’s Showgirl Extra Volume Black Mascara: This was a gift with purchase if you spent over £7.00, I’m excited to try it out but I’m being restrained and waiting for my current mascara to run out.

L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Cleansing & Perfecting Milk: I needed a new make up remover/cleanser and I’ve heard a lot of good things about this one so I thought I’d give it a go. I’ve used it once so far and it smells amazing so I’m excited to try it more and I will post a review once I have used it a bit longer. Available from Feel Unique for £4.49.

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer in Dry and Sensitive: I’m running dangerously low on my current one, unfortunately the normal one wasn’t there and I’m happy  with the sensitive one. So I’m happy to have another one for when mine runs out.

Superdrug’s Vitamin E Skin Care Gentle Eye Makeup Remover: I’m running low on my current eye specific makeup remover so I picked this up, its a thicker cream remover which I prefer to a liquid one and when its mean to moisture as well it definitely feels like it is doing something. I also love that Superdrug are expanding their own brand lines, I love their tea tree range and I will slowly make my way round. Available from Superdrug for £2.99.

Superdrug’s Vitamin E Skin Care SPF Radiance Eye Cream: I keep neglecting using an eye cream I need one but always keep forgetting to pick one up, I finally did it and I cannot wait to see if there will be any results. Available at Superdrug for £2.99.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Ivory: So I got this from Feel Unique as they do the whole try me thing where with items in the try me range, you get a sample to try and if it isn’t right for you then send the unopened full size back. However, I didn’t get the free sample so I emailed back and got a bitchy message back saying it wasn’t for this colour yet rechecking the website today it doesn’t say its only ‘light beige’ or whatever so I’m currently unimpressed with their try me service. Especially as now I am stuck with an ivory shade that is too dark for me when I was meant to be given a sample. Available from Feel Unique for £10.99.

Aussie Miracle Recharge Shine: My hairdresser used this when I last had my hair cut and I’ve been on the hunt for it since as its an amazing smelling spray leave in conditioner. I wanted this as it really works and is super light for a leave in conditioner. I could not find this anywhere and I’m so glad I finally found it on feel unique which inspired the entire order. Available at Feel Unique for £4.49.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original: I got samples of all of the urban decay primer potions with my Naked 3 palette all with a weeks worth in each sample. I’ve loved the two I’ve tried but I’ll wait to finish all the samples and my Soap and Glory primer. I brought the travel size if you haven’t seen one of my previous posts as to why check it out here, which will explain my choices as to why I have made this purchase. Available from Feel Unique for £8.00.

So these are the things I’ve spent my money on recently, what beauty bits have you brought recently?

Barry M Glitterati Nail Paint Review

DSCF4228

DSCF4230

Barry M have recently launched a range of glitter nail varnishes called Glitterati, which are glitter nail polishes you don’t have to layer up with other polishes so I just had to try them out. So I bought the purple one (Fashion Icon) and Black (Rockstar).

I thought I’d try it out and I used Fashion Icon as a feature nail and all of the rest and I am really pleased at how they turned out, so pretty and glittery. I applied 2-3 coats of each for both nails.

Rock Star:

This is a beautiful black based nail varnish with holographic silvery sparkles that seem to change colour in different lights so it doesn’t feel a full on black so its suitable for most looks. It applies similarly to the barry m gelly nail varnishes, it takes a little while to try but has a nice finish and I really love this. I’m totally going to wear this for halloween next week and possibly well into the christmas season.

Fashion Icon

This is slightly thinner than the black so will need 3 coats to get a full on bright purple which is a stunning, with purple, silver and translucent blue glitter its more stuble than the rock start but it still perfect. The only problem with this that it chips so easily, after putting this on last night it is already chipping on every nail and not even slightly quite a lot. So it might be best for wearing it for one night for one event or I have to find some sort of super top coat.

Overall I love the appearance and it will be great for the holiday season for going to evening events or family occasion if you want something that is relatively inexpensive that looks amazing. I will keep an eye out for others and may get more as I love the concept out a glitter you dont have to find a good  colour to go underneither.

Have you tried these what do you think?
