March Favourites

March Favourites 2017

I feel like it was last week I was writing up my February favourites and now it’s time for March Favourites. March has been a good month seeing as I turned 23 this month, another year older and another year wiser. So what have I been loving this month.

As winter turns into spring and it’s not quite so cold in the mornings I have got back into moisturising after my morning shower and I have been loving the Ted Baker Body Lotion. Its rich and moisturising, and soaks into the skin easily so perfect for the mornings as I can let it do its thing while I do my makeup. It also helps that the body lotion has the same scent as the Ted Baker scent I use daily so there’s no conflicting fragrances.

Slightly odd one but I first picked these up on the way to work I notice my nails were badly chipped. The Quickies 20 Nail Varnish Remover Pads, are amazing at removing nail polish quickly and easily. Opposed to standard nail polish removers these are slightly more oil based so I’d recommend a tissue to clean up the excess oils.

As for makeup I’ve got into my eyeshadow again, despite been initially unsold on the Fleur De Force Quad Eye Shadow in 020 Lunar Rose I’ve been enjoying a few of the shades this month to create a pretty everyday look. I then blend this out with the Kiko Milano in 130, which as you can tell is one of my go to products and I felt as though it needed a little appreciation.

Batiste Natural & Light Dry Shampoo

Final favourite is the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Natural & Light Bare, over the years I have found for me that batise is the best dry shampoo but the reason I stopped using it was the overpowering dry shampoo smell that I felt was essentially saying to everyone “hey I haven’t washed my hair. I saw this the other day and love it, it still works great and refreshers hair like all other batiste products without the heavy sent, its light and nothing too much.

What have you been loving this month, let me know in the comments.

Empties #10

Empties #10

Just after I’ve written and empties I seem to then finish everything so I always attempt to space these out somewhat. I don’t know if I should switch to doing these monthly or not but between monthly favourites, collective monthly hauls and then monthly empties I feel like my blog would just feel too repetitive. So just let me know in the comments if I should make this a monthly thing or just make it this semi regular more bi-monthly occurrence.

mkeup empties ft bourjois, collection

L’Oreal True Match Foundation in Rosy Ivory (Sample Size): I’ve owned this in the past and love having the sample size, which lasts ages by the way. I loved it over the summer for travelling, used it for graduation and in between and think this will definitely will be the next foundation I repurchase. Would I repurchase: sure.

Bourjois Paris 123 Perfect CC Cream in Ivory: This was a little bit of a dud, the colour was way too dark despite being ivory and the lightest shade and on its own it can tend to oxidise. Yet the coverage was great so if it’s the right colour it’s probably a great CC cream with a good level of evening the skin tone out. I’ve used it up by using it mixed with other foundations or bb creams especially during the summer and in varying amounts to use it up and make the colour up to match my more tanned colour especially in the summer as even tanned this didn’t match me. Would I repurchase: nope.

Collection Pressed Powder in Ivory: This is my favourite pressed powder ever and I rarely bother to buy anything else, I’m never oily so I cannot comment on its oil control but it thoroughly sets your makeup in place and is actually pale enough. It is fairly finely milled especially for the price point but it doesn’t look cakey. Would I repurchase: always.

P.S Love Egg Shaped Sponge: The sponge is starting to tear and just doesn’t seem to be cleaning properly so it’s time to swap it out again, this has transformed my makeup routine and I absolutely love using it. I usually end up chucking this every three months for a new one but at £1.50 a time it’s what £6.00 a year. Would I repurchase: yes.

skincare empties ft teco & garnier

Superdrug Tea Tree Skincare Lemon Facial Wash: Another item which has been in empties before as well as in the odd routine. So I won’t say much it is just a really nice refreshing face wash, great to use in the mornings. Would I repurchase: yes.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (‘Handbag Sized’) & Regular Size: After loving the Garnier Miceller Water I thought I would buy the handbag size to take with me on trips and travels, so I could get makeup off properly . I thought this would be great as you could refill it but as it turns out the top doesn’t come off which sucks. This would be great for going away for longer than a week especially as it lasts way longer than that and it’s a great easy to use product. This has lasted me absolutely months well worth it. Would I repurchase: yes.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water: This has lasted me absolutely months, although I haven’t repurchased it yet instead buying the L’Oreal Micellar Water because I got it with discount vouchers. I love Micellar Waters in general as they take off your makeup thoroughly and I’m super lazy, I use it not only to take off my makeup but as a quick pre-makeup cleanse. Would I repurchase: yes.

Tea Tree and Peppermint Deep Moisturising Hand Pack: As it starts to get colder my hands start to need more moisturising as sometimes they crack, so sometimes they need some extra TLC. Like foot packs which I have talked about before these have moisturiser within like plastic gloves and they are perfect for a bit of pampering but you can still do stuff while wearing them like a touch of blogging or changing the channel on the TV. Would I repurchase: yes.

Macadamia Oil Extract Foot Pack: I’ve had many foot packs in the past so just look back in my empties if you want to know more, they rock that’s all. Would I repurchase: yes.

Laura Ashley Imperial Bloom Body Butter: Thick, creamy and delightfully floral scent and it isn’t overly heavy but it leaves the skin feeling hydrated and soft. The scent lasts all day too but not in an overpowering way, the main issues is that this was a Christmas gift and isn’t readily available but I think I will try other Laura Ashley Body Butter as the formula is so nice. Would I repurchase: yes, if I can find it.

hair empties ft argan oil & batiste

Batise Original Dry Shampoo (Travel Sized): So I brought this over the summer to take on holiday with me, but it’s taken me forever to use as I rarely use dry shampoo. I am starting to think I should switch to only buying travel sized dry shampoos so they take up less space. I definitely think batiste is my favourite dry shampoo although I like the original scent I definitely prefer some of the others like cherry and blush. Would I repurchase: yes probably.

Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner: I initially reviewed this way back at the start of my blog way back in the day, and I found it so-so and it spent most of its time sat the bathroom cupboard. But I’ve recently been using it after swimming and it’s really helped my hair stay in good condition. Would I repurchase: undecided.

Theraputics Renergise Shampoo and Renew Conditioner: These are little hotel bottles which I picked up to take swimming with me, really fresh and a good lather. I don’t think I would bother with trying to find these to buy I think I would use them again.

tesco cotton pads, ps love hand gel

Ghost Girl Eau De Toilette (sample): I received this lovely sample in the post, and it is absolutely delectable with notes of pear and pomegranate it’s a sweet fruity scent which I adore. I loved having the sample in my bag for the odd touch up and to freshen up throughout the day. The only thing I am not sure about is the packaging which looks cute but is slightly teeny if I dare say, but it smells too good I may crack. Would I purchase: yes.

P.S. Love Anti-Bac Hand Gel: This hand gel costs amazing and it costs £0.60, best impulse buy ever. Always keep an eye on the till stuff at Primark as this is impulsive and useful. Would I repurchase: yes.

Tesco Everyday Value 80 Cotton Wool Pads: So-So not great, but not awful they did the job and were good when I needed cotton wool pads tended to use them for polish removal. Would I repurchase: probably if I needed them.

So another empties over and done with, and off to the recycling. What products have you loved and used up recently?

Travel Toiletries

travel toiletries

Summers started and we’re all dreaming of going away, due to interviews and the job hunt I am not going on holiday this summer and am more hoping to go away for a small break in October for mine and my boyfriends 3 year anniversary. However, I am off to Cornwall for a week this year as my boyfriend is from Cornwall so its basically a mini holiday at his house so these are the toiletries item I am taking with me. A small side note due to the fact that I will not need to take shampoo and conditioner as my boyfriends mum always picks up tresemme for me so that saves me room for packing other bits as well as shower gel, anyway here is what is in my toiletries bag.

travel skin care

Skincare

I know usually you’d think just to take makeup wipes as its a holiday after all but I like to keep up a proper skincare routine if I can as it makes all of the difference. So to keep a little bit of normality I am using The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser and The Body Shop Hydrating Toner, I absolutely love this stuff it smell amazing and leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. After these two I obviously need some moisturiser so I’m taking the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser just something gentle but deeply hydrating which is all I need really. Just in case I cannot get all of my makeup off or I need to tidy it up I am taking the Simple Kind to Skin and Brightening Eye Makeup Remover Pads, I am yet to try them but I’m hoping they will be good. Then to finish off my skincare just in case I need it I have the Superdrug Deep Action Anti-Blemish gel, which really works at simply reducing the size of my spots and seeing as its so small its good to just throw into my toiletries bag.

Then I have just some single use items in case I need some additional TLC, first up is the Superdrug Deep Action Pore-Cleansing Nose Strips because I get loads of blackheads on my nose and although these don’t always work they are great when they do.  Also my new favourite items more because they feel amazing rather than if they do anything, the Botanical Choice Eye Puffiness Minimising Patches Ginkgo so if I get tired I can just feel like I’m doing something about it. Although I rarely end up using it I often like to take a face mask and to keep it mess free I am taking the Superdrug Deep Cleansing Facial Sheet Mask, seeing as though it is so compact there is no harm in taking it with me.

travel hair products

Hair

As well as my trusty Tangle Teezer, which I have popped in half to store hair ties and bobby pins I only have three hair products. First up is my trust TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray, I will be taking my straighteners with me so this is vital and is absolutely amazing. Then  to keep my hair silky smooth and hopefully damage free I am using the Dove Anti-Frizz Serum. It smells amazing and leaves my hair feeling great. The final item is Batiste Orginal Dry Shampoo, just in case my hair needs a quick refresher or I want to create a voluminous style it is basically a great all rounder.

bits and bobs

Other

I hate lugging about a clunky deodorant bottle so I’m choosing this year to splurge on the travel sized items and I brought my favourite deodorant, the Dove Go Fresh Deodorant in Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena. Smelling fresh and amazing, my boyfriend loves this scent and always steals it when I have it. Just in case this runs out I am taking a mini Women Sure Antiperspirant in the Bright Fragrance, this is purely as I couldn’t find another Dove one but Sure is a reliable brand. I don’t want to lug around a huge fragrence so I am going to take my miniature Elizabeth Arden Sunflower Perfume, a perfect travel size and a beautiful summer scent I will definitely get my use out of it.

So that is what I am taking with me on my trip to Cornwall, I think it covers everything I need without being excessive. What are your travelling toiletry essentials? Do you opt for minis, decanting or take the full size?

Review: Tresemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo

TRESemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo

There are always those days when you really cannot be bothered to wash your hair or simply want a more voluminous style dry shampoo can be your savoir. I’ve tried a lot of different dry shampoos from batiste to colab and various own brands, and although I prefer the smell of the colab dry shampoos I find that batiste definately works better the powdery dry shampoos are much better at absorbing grease ect. I just often find the batiste smell is overpowering and clingy.

So here enters the TRESemme Instant Refresh Cleansing Dry Shampoo, which is something that I am so surprised that I haven’t bothered trying in the past as if you didn’t already know I am such a Tresemme hair junky. Pretty much everything else I use is Tresemme as it is great value for money and is amazing on my hair I never bother to mix things up. Also like everything else my Tresemme it has that same refreshing smell but it doesn’t cling like other dry shampoos it simply refreshes your hair so you can last that extra day.

Although this is a powder dry shampoo the powder is definitely finer than other dry shampoo, so although you may need to add a little more there’s no risk of ending up with random white patches in your hair and it can easily be brushed out. It sprays evenly and effortlessly and is definitely going to be a permanent part of my dry shampoo collections. I think I will still opt for Batiste for those heavy duty occasions as I feel as though it is more heavy duty but this is definitely a nicer one to use.

The TRESEmme Instant Refresh Cleansing Dry Shampoo is available from all good retailers, RRP £5.25 but like most TRESemme products is regularly on offer.

What dry shampoos are your favorites, and what would you recommend trying.

Mega Empties Part Two

Mega Empties Part Two

So I had way more empties then it seemed reasonable so my empties got split between two posts,if you wish to see make up and skin care empties check out my other post here. This post with cover bath body and hair. So lets get going so I can finally chuck everything out.

bath and body

Bath and Body

Shea Butter & Peppermint Deep Moisturising Foot Pack: I have no idea what brand these are as my mum picked them up from body care but I also like the ones from home bargains. These work so well on dry cracked feet and are mess free simply stick on the booties and leave on for 15-20 minutes while you so something else. I’m endlessly buying these as they are amazing especially as summer is coming up and you’ll have your feet out more and more.

Gingko Biloba Intensive Rejuvenation Foot Pack: I love foot packs as you can tell, as more and more come out I’m just trying all the different ones out and I haven’t found a bad one yet

Wilkinsons Fruits Rhubarb and Vanilla Fragrance Explosion Bath Bomb: I’ve been curious about these bath bombs for a while as they are so inexpensive and smell great in the packet so seem way better value for money. So they make the bath smell amazing but that seems to be it they don’t change the colour and don’t do anything spectacular to your skin but they are still nice to try and I thoroughly enjoyed using it just to try out but I’m not sure if I’d try again although they are only around the £1.00 mark.

Sanex Sensitive Shower Gel: I don’t know if they still sell these in the same packaging but I will always buy the sensitive version as its my favorite scent and always feels nice on the skin. I cannot think how to explain the smells but its simply sweet and nice. They last ages and well worth trying out.

Radox Nourish Bath Soak with Ginger and Shea Butter: This was the most amazing nourishing bath soak ever my skin felt so smooth and nourished as it did after using this. It didn’t have that many bubbles but I feel like sometimes bubbles aren’t important if it leaves your skin feeling amazing afterwards. It’s also so soothing and relaxing after a long day so perfect with a few candles and a good book (or a text book, the joys of final year). I may repurchase it but I’m never loyal to bubble baths/bath soaks and like to mix it up but I may rebuy it at some point I definitely wouldn’t turn it down.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Butter: This was one of the Body Shops Christmas scents and as its vanilla i wanted it, I received the set as a gift from my boyfriend parents. It was lovely and it is a shame that it was only a Christmas scent as I prefer this to the regular vanilla scent.

haircare batiste and tresemme

Hair

TRESemme Smooth Salon Silk Shampoo and Conditioner (both 900ml): These have lasted absolutely months and they are my all time favorite shampoo and conditioner I barely use anything else as they leave my hair feeling super clean and amazing. They do smaller bottles but the bigger ones are better value for money especially as I stock up on when they are like 2 for £5 or half price which is always possible simply due to how long they last you can always wait for the right offer. I like the other offers but salon silk is by far my favorite great quality and amazing value for money.

TRESemme Colour Revitalise Colour Protection Treatment Masque: I’ve had this for ages but being a 500ml tub it just never stops going its just so good. I don’t know if they still do this one so I’m going to keep an eye out for it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Travel Sized in Blush: I’ve had this since last summer, tending to opt for the travel sizes as I rarely use dry shampoo, this smells really nice and batiste always do great dry shampoos. I have discovered that dry shampoo definitely works best putting it in the night before but then it depends why you are using it.

candles

Candles

Matalan Vanilla Sugar Candle: I love vanilla candles and this one from matalan was amazing kicking off loads of scent which was a really sweet vanilla. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn’t burn evenly so a lot of the candle is wasted which is a shame.

Primark Pineapple and Ginger Candle: I’m still undecided on this scent as I don’t know if I like it or not as its very different to what I usually go for but these smaller candles are only £0.80 so it wasn’t a waste. I don’t think I will repurchase it but it was nice to try something new.

Primark Sweet Berry and Patchouli Candle: I loved this just a lovely berry scent which is more subtle rather than over powering, it looks pretty with the little top and everything it is well worth trying out if you go to primark.

Phew I’m done, no more empties at least for now and hopefully not for a while. What have you been trying and loving at the moment.

Lots of Love

Make Up Collection and Storage Part One

Okay I don’t really have proper storage and this isn’t really my full collection it is just everything that has come to university with me so I just thought I’d do a lovely little post of everything I own/use regularly enough to justify bringing.

DSCF4254

As you can see everything has its places and are relatively easy to get to and with my current set up this is the idea make up set up as its next to the window so I can do my make up effortlessly in natural light. So now I’ll show you the majority of my collection as I missed the odd bits out (because I’m useless) and then a mini opinion on each of them or what I use it for.

DSCF4244

L’oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing and Perfecting Milk: I haven’t used that much of this much as I’ve been swapping which products I’ve been using and so far I do like this.

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Body Butter: I love Body Shop body deeply hydrating and they smell delicious, I always by them on offer as they are a lot but I don’t think they are overpriced as a little can go a long way. So find your perfect scent and buy one.

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer Sensitive: The perfect base for everyday and I love this however, I feel like I’ve mentioned this loads. I have sensitive opposed to normal as I’ve been having more breakouts recently so I felt like this was best.

Superdrug Deep Action Anti Blemish Gel: This is a fairly recent purchase which I haven’t used that much yet but I am going to review once I feel like I’ve used this long enough to give and informed review.

Nivea Daily Essentials Regenerating Night Cream Normal and Combination Skin: On bucking up my skin care routine I’ve kept meaning to buy a night cream, this was half price in Superdrug and I love Nivea so it was a no brainer cannot wait to get used to incorporating it into my daily routine.

Superdrug Cleansing Face Wipes in Sensitive: Brought these and they were a complete dud, I couldn’t be bothered when I got in to do the full take off so decided to use a wipe then remove the rest fully later. Well it barely removed anything and my eye shadow was fully intact despite saying it even removes waterproof makeup. When I have enough (i have 3 already) I may do a disappointing products post.

The Body Shop Love Ect Body Lotion: When my hands are dry this typically comes in my bag with me I really need to move this into one of them, unfortunately love ect has been discontinued.

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Eye Makeup Remover: This is so thick and creamy and feels amazing on the skin I’m really enjoying it and will definitely repurchase it.

Tesco Everyday Value Facial Wipes: Honestly the best make up wipes I have ever used, it even removes tough waterproof makeup. I tend to only use wipes when I get in late or I’m feel really lazy but they are always handy to have around.

Superdrug Deep Action Pore-Cleansing Nose Strips: These were a buy one get one free item and they are alright and I will use them but they aren’t great.

DSCF4245

Sanex Zero Roll on: This is great for working out and is a really heavy duty deodorant.

Compressed Dove Antiperspirant in Beauty Finish and Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena: The pomegranate one is my favourite deodorant and my boyfriend loves it too so I have two as he tends to steal them.

Superdrug Nail Varnish Remover: This is almost done and is pretty much a bog standard and really good nail varnish remover, no point spending money where it isn’t needed.

Superdrug Moisturising Nail Varnish Remover: This I bought this as a replacement for the other one but this leaves an oily residue on the skin that I am really not keen on and it doesn’t feel likes it works as well but I will use it up.

Sainsburys and Superdrug Cotton Pads: I tend to buy the baby ones as they are much bigger and more useful for take makeup off although the small ones are good for nail varnish. However, I am currently stuck with all small as this is what happens when you ask your boyfriend to pick some up for you.

DSCF4246

Mark Hill De Frizz Control and Shine Spray: This was a pound shop gem and it was absolutely amazing I’m going to be sad when it’s used up as it was discontinued. Basically the most amazing light hold shine spray ever.

Aussie Miracle Recharge Shine Leave in Conditioner: I reviewed this the other day so check that out here.

Superdrug Extra Firm Hold Hair Spray: I used this occasionally and it holds so well, only problem with it is that it goes so stiff and crunchy so I’m on the look out for something new but will still have a high level of hold.

TRESemme Heat Defence Spray: Basically the ultimate heat defence spray which I cannot do without, something that everyone should own.

DSCF4247

Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo: Brought this for travel over the summer and its lasted me ages as I don’t use it that often but it is simply amazing although I’m not overly keen on the scent of the blush one.

The Body Shop Hair Chalk: I bought this last easter and haven’t used it overly much as I haven’t really had the occasion too, it is a stunningly beautiful colour and works really well even with dark brown hair.

Makeup Academy Pro-base Fixing Spray: I used this loads over the summer especially during long days of working events and its so good or I use it when I have like a 12 hour day out of the house due to lectures and work.

Foot Pack: This is absolutely amazing as I have such bad cracked feet and I constantly rebuy it.

DSCF4248

Urban Decay Naked 3: This was a gift from my boyfriend and I absolutely love it, i use it most days it is the most beautiful and pigmented shadows. I’d highly recommend it if you are considering a naked palette.

Makeup Academy Heaven and Earth Palette: The most perfect budget neutral palette and I’m getting close to hitting pan on one or two luckily I’m so obsessed with my naked palette this has been saved.

Make Up Academy Pretty Edgy Palette: The main reason I wanted this was that I really loved the packaging it is just absolutely beautiful and the colours are amazing too anyway, its definitely more of an evening look palette though.

Barry M Super Chic Palette (Superdrug Limited Edition): One of those saw it, wanted it and bought it as its beautiful despite being out of your comfort zone.

DSCF4249

So these are all my Elizabeth Arden Miniatures that I absolutely love in order there is: Green Tea; Mediterranean; Sunflower; Red Door and Pretty.

As this is a long post and it’s taken me a while to write I am splitting it in two and the second half will be up in a few days. I love finding out about different peoples make up storage options and their main collection how they lay out their everyday products. How do you store your makeup? Whats in your everyday make up collection?

Day 63: Family Vacation Vs Week at the Boyfriends Beauty Stuff

So today I got back from a holidaying in France with my mum and day, and on Tuesday I’m off to Cornwall to stay with my boyfriend and his family for 10 days. So I thought it would be interesting to look at the difference between what I take with my family to been seen by other people. So I’ll say what’s in my beauty bag for each and what’s the same and what’s different.

Family Holiday to France

DSCF4064

So to France I’m taking my small cute Morgan bag in which I have: Medication; Vitamins; Boots Essentials Mosturising Lotion; Superdrug Tea Tree Skin Care BB Cream SPF 15 in Light; Tweezers; The Body Shop Love Ect Body Lotion (mini); Pure Cucumber Eye Roll on; Lip Balm; MUA Extreme Mascara.

So I’m really just taking the basics to France we’re having a busy active week so there isn’t much point taking loads of make up. Also me and my mum are sharing shower stuff so they are n her bag.

Visiting My Boyfriend in Cornwall

So I’m taking 3 bags of health and beauty stuff to Cornwall. Two of which are a beautiful set of matching Ellen Tracy bags, one small and perfect for my makeup brushes and the big one for all my beauty bits. Finally my pretty dusty purple make up bag from Wilkinson’s, they have a lovely range of makeup/toiletry bags that are pretty and inexpensive.

DSCF4069

Make Up Bag: Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer; Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain; MUA Cover and Conceal Stick in Light; Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radience Shimmer Touch in 001 Flush of Pearl; Sleek Face Form in Light; MUA Blusher Lolly; Body Shop Shimmer Cubes Palette 06; MUA Heaven and Earth Palette; MUA Luxe Pretty Edgy Palette; Avon True Colour Eye Duo in Warm Cashmere; Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black Brown; Collection Intense Colour Kohl Pencil in 01 Black Magic; MUA Pressed Powder in shade 1; Collection Pressed Powder in 18 Ivory; Barry M Cor Balmy in Adam and Eve; Rimmel Apocalips in shade 102 Nova; MUA Lipstick in shade 14 Bare; Avon Sample Lipstick in Crimson Twilight; Avon Sample Lipstick in Golden Berry Ultra; NYC Lipstick in 433 Peach Fizz; Lighter; Hair Elastics.

DSCF4075

Make Up Brushes: Wilko Premium Stipler Foundation Brush; Comsopoliton Blush Brush; Blush Brush; Kabuki Brush; Body Shop Slanted Brush; Ruby & Millie Eye Blending Brush; Wilko Eye Make Up Brush Carnaby; Wilko Eye Make Up Brush Fuschia.

DSCF4076

Toiletries Bag: Elizabeth Areden Fragrences in 5th Avenue, Pretty and Sunflowers; Foot Pack Intensive Rejuvenation Gingoko Biloba; Hand Pack Intensive Rejuvination Rose and Shea Butter; Superdrug Tea Tree Skincare Exfoliating Cream Wash; Escenti Tea Tree Facial Wash Gel; Argan Oil Shampoo; Argan Oil Conditioner; Nivea Double Effect Eye Make Up Remover; Colgate Sensitive Pro Refielf; TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray; Dove Go Fresh Cucumber & Green Tea Scent Compressed; Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush Travel Sized; Skin Therapy Large Oval Wool Pads; Medication; Tooth Brush; Pure Cucumber Eye Roll on.

There is basically nothing similar, and the worst thing is that I don’t feel like I’ve over packed for going to Cornwall. I’ve tried to pack accordingly to what I am doing when I’m while I’m away, meals out seeing people ect. In my head they are both fit for purpose but are the really? I don’t have a clue.

Day 38: Another Day another Haul

So I went shopping and went a little bit mad with so many mutlibuy offers on at the moment so I’ll link to them all when relevant. So on with the haul.

DSCF4054

So first up I went into Superdrug and there were so many mutibuy offers onI just couldnt stop myself really so I ended up spending £25.00 in the store but with savings of £8.26 who can blame me.

First up there was an offer of any 2 for £10.00 on select Rimmel Products, check out the offer here.

First up I brought Rimmels Wake Me Up Foundation, in shade 010 Light Porcelain. I’ve been considering it for a while and thought I’d finally make the plunge especially as my current foundation is too dark and Rimmel goes so much lighter plus the spf 15 will be great for the summer I am so looking forward to trying this out. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation is available at Boots and Superdrug for £8.99.

Then to complete the deal as it would mean the second item would only be £1.01, I was going to buy concealer but there wasn’t my shade so I thought I’d pick up the Apocalips Lip Lacquer, in the shade 102 Nova as I’ve heard so much about them so I thought why not. Nova is a beautiful summery pink and I hope to get a lot of wear out of it this summer. Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers are available from Boots and Superdrug for £5.99.

So next up I popped to look at the tea tree stuff as I currently have a tea tree obsession and thought there was no harm. All of the Superdrug own Tea Tree products are 2 for £4.00 and well worth checking out here.

So first of these I picked up Superdrugs Tea Tree Skin Care BB Cream, in the shade light. Currently it is a little bit too dark but I am very pale. I’m hoping this will be great for when I’m in france when I have a tan and just want a light coverage in order to even out my skin tone. Also the spf 15 will be great for the hot sunny days as I have the feeling of actual sun cream on my face. Also it comes in a small squeeze tube of 50ml so it will last ages but is an ideal size for travelling. Superdrug’s Tea Tree BB cream is available at Supderdrug for £3.99.

In addition to the BB cream I also picked up, Superdrug’s Tea Tree Skin Care Exfoliating Cream Wash. This is all part of my aim to take better care of my skin and these seemed like a good idea. I cannot wait to start using it and if it works wonders then its amazing especially due to the price. Available at Superdrug for £3.29.

Finally I went to the MUA counter but as I am doing a MUA brand focus post in a few weeks I’ll just list what I brought:

  • MUA Blusher in BonBon for £1.00;
  • MUA Heaven and Earth Palette for £4.00;
  • MUA Luxe Pretty Edgy Palette for £6.00 (£2.00 off).

DSCF4053

Next up I went to Primark as I was desperate for a new purse and I fell in love with this. It has so many compartments and slots and its a good size that if I wanted to for for a night out I could use this a small clutch and easily place my phone and keys inside. It’s just perfect for me. Available at Primark for £5.00.

DSCF4052

Finally I popped into bodycare, as they do things cheap, I also brought a toothbrush which there is no point in showing you its bog standard really.

So I picked up a travel sized Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo its an essential for this summer but I didn’t want to lug a full sized bottle around and taking up space in my suitcase. This was the only fragrence they had which I’m not a fan of it as to me it smells like dry shampoo and lingers all day but I didn’t want to try something I’d never heard of and at least I know that Batiste works.

Then later in the summer I’m going away for a few weeks, too long for a travel deodorant but I don’t want to take a big one as it takes up so much space, I am so grateful for the new compressed bottles it will last ages but the smaller bottle are more convenient to pack and will last ages after. So as I always go for dove I brought Dove Go Fresh Cucumber and Green Tea Scent.

So yeah thats what I brought, what have you brought recently?
