September/October Collective Haul

Who doesn’t love a bit of a haul? I was going to do a collective September Haul but with only a smallish feel unique haul which didn’t seem work it I thought it would be worth combining September and Octobers hauls together as I really haven’t been buying too much. I also apologise if you have seen some of these items in posts already, as I have used some of them as I brought them for particular reasons over September and October.

feel uniwue ft tanya burr

I think I actually ordered this at the end of August from Feel Unique but it didn’t arrive until the start of September and I missed the chance to put them in the collective August haul. I did pretty damn good though getting everything on sale plus an additional 10% off, I resisted going made and I only brought the things I actually need, as if I needed more makeup.

With Tanya Burrs new makeup or repackaged makeup being launched in August a lot of the older items were on sale, unfortunately the lashes I wanted had sold out. Probably because the packages are all being repackaged so £2.80 for Tanya Burr Lashes is a bloody steal, I also missed out of the lip glosses as the ones I wanted had gone but I picked up two nail polishes which I have been eyeing up for months, I owned two already and they are really great nail polishes. So I picked up the totally out of season but so pretty I’ll wear in anyway Tanya Burr Polish in Little Duck which actually went beautifully with my graduation outfit although in the end I went for flower detailed nails. The other nail polish I picked up was the Tanya Burr Nail Polish in Peaches & Cream, a lovely pinky nude some will consider it more summery but for me it’s a great all round nail polish. Both nail polishes were a bargain at £2.16 each.

I’ve been curious to pick up the Maybelline Colour Tattoo eyeshadows for ages but the highly popular bronze shade, doesn’t fit in with what I tend to wear. However I felt the Maybelline New York Colour Tattoo 24hr Gel-Cream Eyeshadow in 65 Pink Gold (£3.81), would slip perfectly into my makeup collection and will work with everything in my collection either as a strong base or as part of an eye look. Now back to the world of Rimmel, who I seem to own a lot of makeup by concerning lips and face. I think it’s just because they just make such good product, does anyone else absolutely love Rimmel London or is it just me? I love my Rimmel East End Snob Lipliner for being long lasting and thought a second lip liner wouldn’t go a miss so I picked up the Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lipliner Pencil in Tiramisu (£2.01). I’ve tried some cheap, like proper cheap white and nude eyeliners but have found them to be a bit pants but with tired eyes from work I thought I’d try the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Khol Kajal Line in Nude (£2.69) which has been recommended to me by quite a few people.

ASDA Diary and PEns

These are the only other two things I brought in September as I wanted to get more organised, and I prefer smaller diaries opposed to the cheap A4 counterpart I’ve barely used in months. I work close to an Asda and because they had their back to school range still in at the time it made sense to pop in on a lunch time. The Patterned Diary (£3.00) is one in which you write your own dates, although I have written it out until the end of the diary and its an 18month diary which I tend to prefer as I like the thickness (sounds odd I know). Then on the organised line I brought some asda own brand Coloured Fineliners (£1.00) so that I can colour code my events, things to do, blog things etc. and it really breaks up the pages.

Primark Scarf

So I wanted a little something to update my wardrobe for this Autumn/Winter without costing a fortune, so Primark was my first stop, as I have a lot of good winter basics and I love layering so I don’t need a huge amount of new clothes. I’ve kept thinking about getting a huge warm scarfs as you can use it as a blanket or it can keep you warm, especially on the commute as I drive to work and this time of year I don’t need a coat but you want something to keep you warm. So I picked up this super soft and big Tartan Scarf which only cost £5.00 I’m obsessed with it.

Macadamia Foot Pack

I’ve talked about foot packs before as they are one of the simplest, and least messy way to moisturises and treat your feet. I’m not loyal to any particular brand or one as I just pick up what’s there, this time I picked up two Macadamia Oil Extract Foot Pack (£0.99), which I’ve used before and I really love. Well worth trying out.

So that’s what I picked up over September/ October have you guys picked up anything good recently?

Things I’ve Learnt in a Year of Blogging

1

So I have been blogging with a focus on beauty blogging for a year now and I feel as though my perceptions of the blogging world, what makes a good blog and how I view the world of beauty has changed. So I thought to celebrate reaching the one year mark I will look at how far I have come and what I have learnt.

A Picture Says a Thousand Words

Before and at the start of blogging I thought picture taking was a thing of just adding a bit extra but really a good picture can really make a review. Poor quality pictures, reflections of the picture taker and a messy background were things I hated in others peoples blogs so why should I have them in mine. So although I admit my picture taking is nowhere near perfect sometimes falling victim to non natural lighting or having to brighten up an image I feel like I am slowly getting there. Some are better than others but I am hoping to slowly improve over time.

Don’t Follow the Hype

Before blogging I always got caught up in the hype a lot easier just assuming the blogging community knew something that I didn’t and this meant what they said was right. It is so easy to get caught up in clever marketing and jump on the band wagon but it is always important to think that products don’t work for everyone the same. For example think of the Benefit Rollar Lash and the buzz around it, I tried it got the sample with elle and it worked very well although the next day I used my primark lash and curl and found it worked almost as well. Yeah the roller lash is good but not amazing or a holy grail like some people think. Read the reviews and think for yourself is it worth it for you don’t feel pressured to follow the hype.

Designer is Not Always Best, But Neither is Drugstore

Before blogging I used to scoff at people who wasted money on designer makeup, that was until I discovered and tried high end make up myself with beautiful lipsticks and the creamy urban decay eye shadows I found some of my favourite products. I still love my drugstore mascaras and everything its just I finally understand the want and love of high end makeup in its irresistible packaging. What I am trying to say is you can have both and I think in a complete collection you may need to have a bit of both and some of us do have tight budgets, so we have to only splurge on what we think is worth it. Sometimes designer is worse than its drugstore counter part just think about what you wish to spend your hard earned cash on.

Mix It Up

This is something I want to do slightly more than I do already, that although I have a primarily beauty blog it is nice to mix things up a little bit. We all have things that make us different and although we all love beauty we all have other things we do too. I love knowing more about the person behind the blog and really we all have so much to offer, sometimes non beauty posts are more interesting. So hopefully I will continue to do this more as time goes on.

Running a Blog Takes Time and Effort

When I started I never really thought how much work a blog could be, I just thought oh snap a quick pictures and write a few words and boom your done. As I mentioned before a good picture is important, good lighting, placement and thinking everything through thoroughly before you can even consider editing and uploading photos. Then you have to plan what you want to write, ensuring you say something important and possibly insightful especially in a review these things don’t just happen in a 20 minute writing session. I’ve found sticking to my schedule that I set in January is useful, two posts a week was and still is something I can fit around work and life and ensures hopefully better quality content. Posting loads can weaken content but barely at all can damage your following and you’re creative streak, I have pages of ideas and just refer to it if I am low on ideas

Even after writing you still have to pay attention to social media, which I have to admit is still and area I have to work on. It is always just something to have an area you know you need to work on so if you have any tips let me know.

So what has blogging taught you? What makes you blog and what do you want to work on with your blog?

Lots of Love,

Gwenllian Branwen

Review: Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob

Rimmel lip liner exaggerate east end snob
The other day on impulse I brought a new lip liner, you may of already seen my excitement on twitter the other day, if you didn’t you can follow me (@gwenllianblog). It is the Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in East End Snob, if you want British youtubers you may already be aware of this lip liner with Amelia Liana and now Miss Budget Beauty singing its praises both as a liner and a lip colour. So the other day on a whim I thought I’d give it a go.
Rimmel lip liner exaggerate east end snob

In essence its a muted pink type colour with brown undertones, achieving that much desired Kylie Jenner lip colour. I tend to suit the more brown toned lip colours opposed to the reds and oranges of the make up world so this proved to be a very good match. It’s highly pigmented, with a perfect matt finish the ideal nude type lip it can go from everyday to a night look and everything in between.

Rimmel lip liner exaggerate east end snob

It’s a simple plastic packaging which is so simple and you can wind it up, no sharpening in sight which is so simple especially for touch ups on the go. Although it doesn’t need many touch ups, the main touch ups that are needed is after food/drink, mainly drinking unless you use a straw or something but this is obvious with any lip product. It even passes the kiss test okay it passes the peck on the lips type kiss but I’m still impressed with its staying power.
Like all matte lip colours it can be fairly drying so I just make sure I wear lip butter or a real good lip balm before applying and then in the evening after wearing it all day but it isn’t uncomfortable drying. It works really well with a neutral eye or even something more dramatic, I love it the most paired with a beautiful pink eye made from my urban decay naked 3 palette. Although I’m not a huge fan of the over exaggerated lips, so basically its perfect for the Kylie Jenner look as it makes lips look fuller and absolutely gorgeous.
6 7
So is it worth the hype? Yes I absolutely love it, a perfect lip colour for anyone and it would go really well under most other lip colours of glosses as it is a fairly neutral base. I love this colour on its own so much though so I probably don’t do anything more with it than leaving it on its own or put a bit of clear lip gloss to make it pretty. Anyone know any lipsticks close to this colour if I wanted it in lipstick form.
Rimmel’s Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in 063 East End Snob is available at Boots and Superdrug ect for £3.99.
Have you tried east end snob or do you want to try it? What are your favourite lip liners?

Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser and Instant Fatigue Blur Review

DSCF4363[1]

Last year Maybelline Baby Skin was a big deal and I resisted buying them until back in January and they were on offer and I thought I’d finally give them a go. I picked up two of the baby skin products the Instant Pore Eraser and Instant Fatigue Blur so carry on reading if you want to know more.

First up is the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser :

Maybelline Baby Skin provides a matte finish and leaves the skin fresh, soft and protected. The gel texture in Baby Skin instantly helps to vanish pores and makes the skin feel light.

It avoids a shine on the skin and makes the skin feel soft.

Bye bye pores!

The Instant Pore Eraser is a silicon based primer which is meant to smooth and erase pores and can be worn under make up and on its own. I will first consider it completely on its own, I applied a thing layer over my worst effected areas such as my nose and cheeks. I have to say I didn’t notice much of a difference a slight blur if that but that might be more because I really wanted it to rather than it actually doing something.

Under make up however, it is a slightly happier ending. So I put it under make up in similar areas as I said previously such as my nose and cheeks as well as my forehead as that’s where my make up tends to come off first throughout the day. My make up applied somewhat smoother and though a day of study with exams and revision sessions from 8am to 5pm my make up stayed perfect in place. I wouldn’t say its a pore eraser but it does help make up stay in place, the only problem is the bottle is fairly small for the price although a little does go a long way. Overall its an okay product but it doesn’t have that wow factor and I think I’m unlikely to repurchase as I’m going to try other products on the market.

The recommended retail price for Maybelline New York New Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is £7.99 and is available at a wide variety of shops such as Boots and Superdrug.

I also tried out the Maybelline New York New Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur:

 Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur Primer. This water-based blurring complex hydrates, refreshes and smooths the appearance of skin for a perfect finish – with or without foundation.

This is available in both Rose and Apricot, as rose was all that was in the shops when I went in. The first thing you’ll notice even before you apply it is the smell that has a tinge of alcohol and is just generally unpleasant looking as it sinks in the smell starts to disappear as it soaks into the skin. Now to start with how it works on this skin, you are meant to be able to wear this on its own but I honestly wouldn’t it adds nothing to your look and improves nothing I do not look any more awake or radiant. Under make up it also adds nothing but my make up did last all day. Another few things it has in its favour is that it applies smoothly and easily and it does moisturise the skin.

The main thing that rose is meant to brighten fair to medium skin tones, so maybe if you want true fatigue blur you might be better off with the apricot one as that is the best colour for counteracting dark circles. Saying that this is advertised as fatigue blur a saviour for the tired student and yet it does very little.

The recommended retail price for Maybelline New York New Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur in Cool Rose is £7.99 and is available from shops such as Boots and Superdrug.

So would I repurchase any of these? I may consider repurchasing the Instant Pore Eraser yet there are many more primers on the market and their is probably better out there, on the other hand I would never repurchase the Instant Fatigue Blur as it does nothing. I’m looking forward to trying out Rimmel’s Fix and Perfect Primer as recommended to me by Clare from Clare’s Beauty, if you have any further suggestions let me know in the comments below.

Bare Minerals Binge

A few weeks back I went into TKMaxx with my friend on a shopping and managed to pick up some amazing items I cannot really get over it. TKMaxx can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but its always worth going in case there is a great bargain especially as the range of cosmetics is vastly improving all the time. Back in the Summer my mum wanted to finally own some decent make up to go along with her new job so I introduced her to Bare Minerals and since then I have always kept wondering if I should try it too and its such brilliant quality make up.

With Bare Minerals your base is what you want it to be, light to full coverage you can build it up in certain areas as a concealer (although I’m yet to get the knack of that) and it just gives a fresh natural look to the face. The colour selection is also amazing and I definitely suggest that if your curious to check it out, using the bare minerals brushes are the best form of application so its worth getting it in a set for the first time you buy before buying the foundations on their own any way enough of the basics of bare minerals here.

DSCF4431[1]DSCF4430[1]

So I managed to pick up two amazing packages, first up is the Bare Minerals Get Started Kit. This set contains:

  • Prime Time Original Foundation Primer 15ml;
  • Original SPF 15 Foundation in N10 Fairly Light;
  • Original SPF 15 Foundation in W15 Light;
  • Warmth All-Over Face Colour;
  • Original Mineral Veil;
  • Full Flawless Face Brush;
  • Flawless Application Face Brush;
  • and Max Coverage Concealer.

Basically the whole kit does your whole face as the warmth is a cross between a bronzer and a blush, but tends to be more like a bronzer as it really warms up your face and makes your face looks more natural. This is just a perfect kit to get you started you couldn’t ask for any better. The Light kit is perfect although you can get similar kits with single colours but this is perfect for me and it covers both winter and summer. If your unsure go to a counter or shop and get colour matched and feel it, its really the ultimate foundation I’m permanently switched, well probably this will be great for every day or a perfect face for interviews for graduate jobs (scary stuff), yet I think I will stick to having a liquid or other foundation for if I want to switch it up or want a different look as I like to keep my options opened. The recommended retail price for this kit was £49.99, I purchased this set for £29.99.

DSCF4433[1]

DSCF4435[1]

Then I picked up the beautiful In the Spotlight Kit, this was ideal to pick up as a pair as I now have a full make up look. This set includes:

  • Flawless Diamond Eye Colour in Peach Champagne;
  • Center Stage Eye Colour in Shimmering Gilded Pecan;
  • Flawless Definition Mascara in Black;
  • Luminary Blush in Sunwashed Berry;
  • Mini Marvellous Moxie Lipstick in Rosebud Mauve;
  • Shimmer Glaze Lip Top Coat in Diamond Glaze;
  • Tapered Shadow and Crease Brush;
  • and a Cosmetic Bag.

This essentially perfect for a low maintenance day time look right up to a classy evening look, the shadows are amazing and the crease brush side of the brush is amazing for blending and I’ve even used it for my every day look. The only thing I’m unsure about is the lip gloss, the colour and finish is spot on but it’s a plumping tingly lip gloss but I don’t always want the feel of it, still great for a night out. I’m yet to try the mascara as I’m currently trialling one for review purposes yet I’m excited to try it out when it comes to it. The recommended retail price for this product is £49.00, while I brought it for £29.99.

Both of these sets are amazing value and I’m so glad I finally purchased some bare minerals stuff at some point I may do a full look with these items so let me know if you want to see it. I just keep your eyes for bargains like this at your local TKMaxx and let me know what bargains you’ve found there.

Lots of Love

Empties #3

DSCF4361

Its seems ages to have empties then I have them all at once. I always love these types of things as because someone’s tried them in full you get a clearer idea of what they are really like so here we go.

Skincare
DSCF4353
Superdrug’s Sugar and Spice Self-heating mask: I haven’t used the sauna/self-heating mask in years and I just had an urge to have it plus it vanilla and I cannot resist anything vanilla. I put it on while I had a lovely long relaxing bath and it was so nice highly recommend trying out. Available from Superdrug for £0.99.

Superdrug’s Fruit Sorbet Antioxidant Peel-Off Mask: Another from my mask buying spree before I brought a tube of one. I love peel off ones as I always feel like they do more for clearing your skin, I don’t think they always do but I always feel better after. Its beautifully subtle fruity fragrance as sometimes fruity scents are really overpowering. Available from Superdrug for £0.99.Superdrug’s Cleansing Facial Wipes (for sensitive skin): These were a complete dud, really dry and barely took off any make up. To hope to get any make up off I’d really have to scrub my face and eye area which is no good for my eye health. In the end my boyfriend just used them occasionally or used them as hand wipes. I’m now back to my tesco everyday value face wipes as they are 50p and so amazing. Available from Superdrug for £0.99.

Superdrug’s Pore Cleansing Pads: Initially I picked these up for my boyfriend but now we both use them in just a very quick and simple step to add to my skin routine. Also pretty much all of Superdrug’s own brand stuff is on offer and I love most of the stuff I’ve tried so far, inexpensive and amazing. Available at Superdrug for £2.69 however, its always on buy one get one free.

Escenti Tea Tree Facial Wash Gel: This got dropped on the floor and the cap broke, it just went every where which really sucks so half of it was wasted. A good inexpensive face wash and tea tree has great benefits although as its body care and there isn’t one in my university town I’ve replaced it with a face was from the Superdrug tea tree range.

Makeup

DSCF4356
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Light Porcelain: I’ve already repurchased this as its such a great foundation especially for us very fair skinned girls which often find it hard to find a good drugstore foundation shade. Although I think by now pretty much everyone has seen/tried it so there is no point going on and on. Available at Boots and Superdrug for £8.99.NYC All Day Long Smooth Skin Foundation in Classic Ivory: This is one of those never mentioned products but is actually really good and its great value for money, also its so inexpensive and great for those trying out. I haven’t repurchased as this is the lightest shade and its too dark and pretty much done so its time to throw it out. Available from Superdrug for £3.99.MUA Cover and Conceal Concealer in Light: Super cheap and not a bad colour match consider there are only 3 colours but they are way too limited. I found the formula really watery and it only hides tiny flaws so not really a ‘concealer’. Definitely better to spend more or a better concelear as there are such good ones available at the drug store. Available from MUA and Superdrug for £1.00.

MUA Blush in Bon Bon: I love this blush but I dropped it and it smashed but as its £1.00 and its more effort than its worth to replace it so I simply brought a new one. It just adds a subtle flush to your face, definitely worth looking at the MUA blush range and at £1.00 each there is no excuse not too. Available from MUA and Superdrug for £1.00.

DSCF4360

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel: I love passion fruit and this is amazing. Okay as far as I’m concerned shower gel is shower gel, I’m clean that is all that matters but it smells amazing. Available from The Body Shop for £4.00 £2.00.Dove Go Fresh Compressed in Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena: I’ve had this in my other empties and there isn’t much to say. Works well. Smells nice. Its deodorant what more is there to add. Available everywhere.

And 2 dried out unknown nail varnishes and a knock of beauty blender.

Lots of Love,

What’s in My Shower

title

Is it wrong that I have some kind of obsession with these videos and love seeing what types of products people love to use so I thought I’d share what’s ‘in my share’ and the products I use on a regular basis.

DSCF4223

So if you didn’t know I live in a student house with 3 boys and we all share a bathroom, which isn’t as bad as you might think. However I have lucked out, none of the boys even thought to use the bathroom cabinet so as well as placing some on the edge of the shower/bath I have filled this cabinet with all my shower/bath bits and its just a perfect size.

DSCF4226

DSCF4225

So I’ll start with the edge of my bath, these are the things that I use the most essentially daily.

Soap and Glory Orangeasm Body Wash: So this is my current shower gel/body wash I tend to prefer fruity scents and the citrus scent of this is ideal to wake you up and make you feel fresh first thing in the morning. Although it isn’t especially orange which is disappointing and it has more or a general citrus and tangy so if you want a true orange the body shop one is more for you. I love the creaminess of this body wash and it feels great on the skin. I also love the size of the bottle so even with my boyfriend how doesn’t seem to understand the concept of a little goes a long way with last forever.

Tresemme Salon Silk Shampoo and Conditioner: I don’t feel like I need to say that much about these I love these shampoos and conditioners and constantly rebuy them, especially the salon silk variety. If you want to know about my love affair with Tresemme I did a brand focus a while back which you can check out here.

DSCF4224

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub: I do a full body exfoliation once or twice a week and I tend to do it in line when I wash my hair, there’s no particular reason for it other than the fact its just easier that way. I love the fact this feels properly gritty so it feels like it is properly doing something although I have no idea if it does. It has an odd mix of smells of a odd combination of citrus and sickly sweet simultaneously and I’m not sure if this works. I’ve enjoyed it but next time I think I’m likely to opt for one of the Body Shop ones that smell amazing.

Superdrug Tea Tree Skin Care Exfoliation Scrub: I love tea tree skin care and I was over the moon when superdrug launched there tea tree skin care range. I use it every two to three days and brought it when I was trying to take better care of my skin and I feel like my skin is finally getting there. I’d highly recommend this especially at £3.29 its great.

Fresh Minty Foot Scrub: I do not use this nearly as much as I should. I have really cracked heals and in combination with foot packs I use this deliciously minty foot scrub, it really does work when I remember it although rubbing exfoliating products on to your feet does take some getting used to.

Escenti Tea Tree Facial Wash Gel: Every morning when I’m in the shower I wash my face with this just to get off all the oils and dirt that build up on my face overnight. I purely do it in the shower as I’m lazy and it kills to birds with one stone before going to lectures or work in the mornings.

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Body Wash: It’s sitting there half used as I brought the soap and glory orangasm and switched out as I tend to get bored or fragrances however this one is my most favourite body wash I have ever owned. So now I’m just saving it for the days where I’ve have a hectic day of work and just want to have a nice long shower. I don’t think they do this any more but I have a Body Shop outlet near me which I think does and I’m tempted to go in and buy it up.

Radox Nourish Bath Soak: As you can tell I haven’t actually used this yet but I always have to have a bath soak in the cupboard just in case and I cannot wait for an evening when I feel like a bath as this is shea butter and ginger. It should be a relaxing night.

Morrisons Sensitive Aloe Vera Shave Gel: A really inexpensive but absolutely great shave gel I just endlessly repurchase it, just leaves your legs so smooth and silky after shaving. Basically the lesson here is never reject supermarket own brands.

Superdrug My Little Star Baby Shampoo: I don’t know why this is in my bathroom cabinet as I use it to wash my make up brushes although I do wash them in the bathroom obviously. I use baby shampoo as its the best and most inexpensive way to clean make up brushes a must have for any make up lover and it costs like 75p.

Wilkinson Sword Razors Xtreme III Beauty:Last up my razor, these I just picked up cheap and the blade can like flex which after some getting used to these are some of the best razors I’ve ever tried and are great for everything.

So I hoped you’ve enjoyed having a glimpse into what I use day to day, which of these products do you use and love? What do you love using day to day?

Day 107: Changing from Summer to Winter

It’s getting into September and we can no longer keep pretending its Summer, so here is how I’m transitioning my make up ect from Summer through Autumn to Winter.

Swapping Pastel Nails for Dark Nails

P1030524

Barry M Nail Paint in 161 Vivid Purple ♦ MaX factor Glossfinity in 45 Rose Petal ♦ Tanya Burr Nail Polish in Penguin Chic ♦ Collection 60 Seconds Nail Polish in 60 Midnight

Swapping Lip Gloss For Lip Stick

P1030525

MUA Luxe Lip Laquer in Tranquility ♦ MUA Lipstick in Shade 14 Bare ♦ Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine in 7 Rose Infinite

Ditching the Bronzer For Blush

5

In the summer sunkissed skin and coral cheeks are my go to but Autumn and Winter isn’t the time for a beautiful bronzed face. I will still use bronze for basic contouring but I think Autumn and Winter is all about rosey cheeks, that flush of colour that makes you look fresh faced and that you’ve just caught a little bit of the cold.

Shimmer to Matte Eyeshadows

Winter is all about more matte shades not just for lips but eyes also, but by switching to matte out can go more dramatic with eyes without looking too over the top. So add a plum or cranberry in there, in matt its more suitable and can be worn for a day look. Also as I have very few matt shades I’m loving the excuse to go out and buy more make up with a legitimate excuse.

Body Butter, Lip Butter Everything

06

In summer I use tinted moisturisers and general moisturiser only once a week using body butter as I just don’t need it the same in the summer. In winter my skin suffers so I’m breaking out the body butters and lip butters, I’m also switching out the scents opting for shea butter and cocoa butter opposed to my favoured passionfruit and mango. This isn’t because I don’t like these scents I love them but in winter I want a more warming comforting scent, I think its just me.

This is simple the start of changes I am making to my beauty routine, how are you changing yours?

Day 98: Get To Know Me TAG

So I’ve been doing this for just over 3 months now and I thought it is about time to do the Get To Know Me TAg, so you get to know they girl thats sat behind this laptop screen a little bit better. You all know the drill by now I answer the set 21 questions about myself, so here we go . . .

1. Are you named after anyone? No I’m not, my parents wanted something unusual and they like welsh names thus my name is Gwenllian and my middle name is Branwen which explains the name of my blog really. Also a little heads us Gwenllian is pronounces Gwen-thee-an.

2. When was the last time you cried? Yesterday when I dropped my boyfriend off at the station because I’m a soppy bugger and I don’t get to see him for three weeks. We met at university so during the holidays we live 300 miles apart but in term time we practically live together.

3. Do you have kids? No.

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? I’d like to think so.

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Used to use it loads but I feel like I’ve grown out of it a bit.

6. Will you ever bungee-jump? Definitely not.

7. What’s your favorite cereal? I don’t have one I don’t like soggy cereal but dry just feels like so much effort to eat.

8. What’s the first thing you notice about people? Eyes, hair and how they carry themselves. It sounds weird but how a person stands and talks tells you a lot about the person without properly talking to them.

9. What is your eye colour? Blue.

10. Scary movie or happy endings? Happy endings, I love a good soppy ending and I’m so jumpy I just cannot sit through a scary movie.
