Empties #14

I thought I would space out my empties and ended up with way too much crap building up, hopefully I will eventually find a balance some day

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in 001 Flush of Pearl: Finally finished this, and the lack of use was simply down to the fact I’m useless at remembering to use it on at the right time. This was great to adding a little bit of dimension to the skin and a subtle highlight, adding a lot to a simple makeup look. In future though I may pick one with slightly more colour to it. Would I repurchase: possibly.

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer: I feel as though this has been in more than enough empties now, I think it is my most repurchased concealer it’s amazing. Would I repurchase: I already have.

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain: This has been featured in a previous empties, and I have enjoyed match perfection as a foundation as it offers a good level of coverage. However I have since found foundations I prefer so I may not repurchase it again.

BareMinerals Prime Time Original Primer: I love this primer, I used it sparingly the past few months as I didn’t want it to be finished. It just leaves my face so smooth and ready for makeup, as well as helping it last all day. Would I repurchase: highly likely.

Boots Essentials Cucumber Cleansing Lotion and Toner: I’ve paired these together as it doesn’t make sense not to, I’ve already repurchased these as I love it and it’s really helped me stick to a routine as well as improve my skin. I use them both every morning and evening, leaving my skin clean and clear. Would I repurchase: yes!

Boots Botantics Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution All Bright: I love to try out different cleansing waters and this was no exception. If you want to know more about it, check out my full review here. Would I repurchase: possibly.

Boots Essentials Refreshing Cucumber Cleansing Wipes: I’m not a huge makeup wipe user but they are great for using as a pre-cleanse or as a last resort. These are really nice wipes they smell and feel really refreshing and I feel like they go a good job at removing makeup. Would I repurchase: yes.

Nivea Daily Essentials Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash: This has been mentioned several times on my body, it was an essential part of my morning skincare routine. Deeply cleansing and clearing, but it doesn’t strip your face of moisture, well worth trying if you have dry or sensitive skin. Would I repurchase: yes

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Butter: I’ve mentioned many times how much I love the scent of the Green Tea range so I won’t go on about the amazing scent. This was thinner than some of the other body butters I have tried, so not as deeply hydrating but it definitely soaked into the skin quicker so it really depends what you are after. Would I repurchase: highly likely.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub: I love a good body scrub and this one was lovely, a deep but gentle scrub. It isn’t as gritty as some of the others so feels great on wherever you use it. Would I repurchase: definitely.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Wash: I feel as though there is not a huge amount to say about a body wash, but this was lovely and refreshing in the morning. Would I repurchase: yes.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Sachet: Sometimes I just love a hair mask and I really enjoyed this Aussie one, opposed to leaving it for 3 minutes I left it longer. I like massage the mask into the ends of my hair clip it up and use a face mask or chill for 10/20 minutes and my hair feels so nice. Would I repurchase: yes.

TRESemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo: I rarely use dry shampoo, so it’s taken me forever to use this one up but you can read my review of it here (LINK). Would I repurchase: yes.

V05 Revive Me Daily Shampoo and Conditioner: I used these as my post swim shampoo and conditioner at the gym, so although they haven’t left my hair silky smooth and I use a hair oil too, But it really cleans out the chlorine. The V05 range smells nice too, which is always a plus with shampoo and conditioner. Would I repurchase: meh, maybe.

Superdrug My Little Star Baby Shampoo: I use baby shampoo to clean my makeup brushes, and I’ve found the superdrug one is identical to J&J only cheaper. It is gentle on the brushes but leaves them nice and clean again cleaning off all the crap. Would I repurchase: yes.

Go To Makeup

got to makeup

I was completely stuck on what to post and thought I haven’t done an ‘every day’ routine in a while, I much prefer these as I love known what people reach for and use every day. Also I always find it interesting to see what people do day-to-day as the difference in what people consider to be ‘essential’ varies. My ‘go-to’ makeup is what I wear daily to work, as weekends vary depending on plans from no makeup to the whole hog, so this is daily/work makeup routine.

go to makeup face ft nivea, rimmel and no 7

I feel like this product has started every single one my routines that I have done while having this blog but I don’t think my makeup sits right without it and it’s the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer, really hydrating. At the moment I am using the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain, I love the Rimmel foundations as they really work for me and have a good colour range. This is a good medium with medium coverage so it evens out and isn’t too heavy. Then to finish off my base I use the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer under my eyes, it’s a great brightening concealer although I always tend to have slight darkness I feel though this works well.

Awake and natural is my go to look at the moment, looking fresh faced and youthful while it doesn’t look like I’m trying to yet and a great weapon in my arsenal is the No. 7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick in Classic Rose, not heavy in colour in anyway but it adds a great flush to my face. The other benefit of a cream blush is that it lasts all day, and this one blends effortlessly so not much needs to be done. Finally to lock it all in a use a light dusting off Collection Pressed Powder in Ivory, I don’t use a lot just enough to help make it last. Once my face is on I use my Body Shop Mango Lip Butter ready for whatever I choose to use on my lips once I’ve finished, so they don’t dry out.

go to makeup eyes ft l'oreal paris, collection and bareminerals

The the eyes are super simple too, I use the L’Oreal Paris So Couture Super Liner to line my upper lid. It’s a deep black, as well as easy to use and manipulate to create the desired line and thickness. I tend to keep it simple though with a thin line close to the lash line to help define my eyes. Then for my lower lash line I use the Collection Colour Intense Kohl Pencil, which is my all-time favourite pencil. It just adds a little bit of something, minimal effort which provides a good amount of impact. To finish the eyes I use two mascaras, the old favourite BareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara for my lower lash line as I love the narrower brush, then on my top lashes the L’Oreal Paris So Couture Volume Million Lashes (psst! full review here). Two great mascaras which define and add volume, I just love my eyes in this. The lips are inconsistent some days I use just a lip balm, while others I mix it up it is fairly inconsistent and goes on a whim really.

Empties #13

I’m trying to work out if my empties are often too long as I wait until I feel as though I have enough and then I ramble. So what do you think is best my current method or switching to monthly empties? Let me know in the comments as I am still a little torn about monthly empties.

Mark Hill De-Frizz Shine and Protect Spray: I’ve had this for ages and only just got round to using it, a heat protecting shine spray which smells great although I just love the Mark Hill products smell. Unfortunately they’ve discontinued this product but it doesn’t compare to my TRESemme heat defence spray also they spray went half way through and I had to move it to a different bottle. Would I repurchase: discontinued.

TRESemme Heat Defence Spray: On the topic of the TRESemme heat defence spay I have finished another one, I love this spray it last forever and helps keep my hair healthy and happy. Highly recommended. Would I Repurchase: always.

The Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter: I love the body shop body butters and the blueberry is no exception, it’s appeared in a few favourites and I am obsessed with this scent. Would I repurchase: yes.

Bath and Body Works Coconut and Lime Verbena (Body Lotion): My dad picked this up in the hotel when in American, and this has linked in my work desk draw since to keep my hands hydrated. Also I am so in love with the smell coconut and citrus is amazing and I’ve had loads of people asking what I’ve been using. Sadly we can’t get bath and body works stuff in the UK and my dad is only in America every 2/3 years with work.

Dove Go Fresh Revive Body Wash in Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena: I adore the Dove Deodorant with this scent and I couldn’t resist getting the shower gel, its sweet and fruity and so good. I also think its great combined with the deodorant as you’re not overpowered with multiple scents that don’t mix. Would I repurchase: yes.

Dolly Mixture Shower Crème in Rhubarb and Custard: It’s the month of shower gels or something, only because I don’t usually end up with two. Although it’s because I got two excited and used this and the Dove one simultaneously. As you know this appeared in my December Favourites and I could not get enough of it. Would I repurchase: yes for sure.

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain: I have really enjoyed this foundation, lovely medium coverage and Rimmel London Formulas and tone tend to suit my skin. I also love have Rimmel do the super pale shades so I don’t have to worry about miss matching or it oxidising too much. Would I repurchase: yes.

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer: I’m not going to bother much with this, it turns up in most empties. Love it end of. Would I repurchase: always.

No 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water: I reviewed this back in January and absolutely loved it, you can read the full review here. It smells amazing but is on the slightly pricer size of high street cleansing waters. I love the pump packaging so I think I’m going to refil it after cleansing it with a different cleansing water. Would I repurchase: maybe.

Cuticura clean and fresh and cherry blossom hand gel (empties #14)

Cuticura Crisp and Fresh Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel: I pretty much have hand gel everywhere and this bigger one is from my work desk, I buy the bigger ones for work so I don’t have to buy as often and the convenient size matters less. Would I repurchase: yes.

Cuticura Cherry Blossom Hand Gel (Primark Exclusive): I love the Primark exclusive scents for the hand gels and they are inexpensive too, this was sweet and floral. Plus the packaging is so pretty, highly recommend. Would I repurchase: definitely.

So that’s all my junk for this time, actually some nice variation. If you enjoy empties, then check out my previous empties here, or look in the bar up the top.

Empties #11

empties #11

Straying away a bit from the blogmas and Christmas themed posts today, it’s time for some mini reviews and some empties.

empties # 11 ft rimmel london & the body shop

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation in Light Porcelain: I wanted to try a full coverage foundation and considering my previous positive experience with a number of Rimmel London picking up the lasting finish foundation was a no brainer. I love this for having a high coverage without looking cakey although make sure you moisturise and primer beforehand as it can sit slightly funny on dry skin. Would I repurchase: maybe.

The Body Shop Extra Virgin Mineral Foundation in 102 Natural Ivory: This is pretty much done and the texture has gone semi odd. It’s a terribly dry foundation, which may be good for oily skin but it doesn’t work for me and no matter how much I sheer it out or very little I put on it looks cakey and awful. So I’m getting rid of it as I tried so many different way to make it work for me but it wasn’t going to. As it’s on the pricer side and I didn’t have anyone to give it too I tried damn hard to use it up. Would I repurchase: definitely not.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer: This is more of a moisturising primer and I’ve enjoyed trying it, I’ve liked a lot of the Rimmel primers. This moisturises the face and just leaves it a really smooth and helps my makeup last all day, good primer but with the blogger bug I know I’ll end up trying some more primers before coming back to this. Would I repurchase: yes.

empties #11 ft nivea and yves rocher

Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer: I have gone through countless pots of this over the last few years, and I always repurchase this. A bargain at the rrp of £4.99, it is often on offer at one shop or another between £2.49-£3.00 so I always stock up then because I know I will use it, its smart buying rather than buying because it’s on offer. I use it sometimes as a primer or sometimes as a moisturiser, it’s just a great base, light and hydrating which means it is a perfect base with my combination/dry skin. Would I repurchase: Always.

Skin Therapy Sensitive Skin Fragrance Free Wipes: These face wipes are a bit of a dud for removing makeup as they really do not take it all up, which sucks and these cannot be a lazy makeup day option. I’ve used them as a quick face refresher if I’m not wearing makeup and they are alright for correcting makeup application mistakes or wiping foundation of the back of your hand. Really you are just better getting something more these are fairly dry and pretty useless. Would I repurchase: No.

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal 24 Hr Intense Hydrating Gel-Crème: I had this in a 3 pack as a ten day treatment, but this lasted longer, it got a bit rejected for a  bit but this does wonders for my skin deeply hydrating and repairing. Would I repurchase: yes.

Yves Rocher Pink Grapefruit Vitamin Face Mist: I got this from the lovely Danielle in a beauty swap back in January and I have finally used it up. I mainly used this over the summer to either freshen up my face during the day, to cool me down or a light way to put back in some moisture and it worked a treat. I didn’t want to wait until next summer to use it with that little voice in my head telling me I’d end up losing it and ended up using it for makeup application, spraying in onto my egg shaped sponge to wet it before makeup application and it worked a treat I feel as though it just added a touch of extra moisture and helped my skin feel fresher, no idea if it did though. I’ve since refilled with water which spritz a low better and its super handy. Would I repurchase: if I could get it over here yes.

empties #11 ft lush and the body shop

The Body Shop Almond Hand Cream: This sat for ages with a tiny bit left as I moved to a repurchased tube and forgot about this one. Smelling like Cherry Bakewells and deeply hydrating what more do you want from a hand cream, also I find that it doesn’t leave hands feeling greasy. I’m not a fan of the non-traditional body shop, body shop hand creams if that makes sense like the strawberry or satsuma ones are nowhere near as nice. Would I repurchase: yes.

Superdrug Sensitive Bikini Hair Removal: I know hair removal, especially intimate hair removal is rarely talked about but due to this being a complete dud of a product I thought I’d share it. I wanted to try something other than shaving that didn’t hurt like waxing, but due to the nature of the area you need something that is made for it. This however was a dud, I left it on for the maximum time and it did nothing at all and with hair removal creams I don’t like to leave them on any longer than the maximum as they can burn the skin. The aftercare cream was really nice but the cream is not worth trying. Would I repurchase: definitely not.

Ted Baker Body Wash: The last bit of this has been sitting there for ages and I’ve finally used it. I love the Ted Baker scent and always get some around Christmas time, so I’ve finished this just in time. Would I repurchase: definitely.

The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Crème: I got this super cheap from the body shop last January and as I brought so much stuff. I feel as though this is slightly more toffee, sweet sort of smell but unlike some fragrances it is not too sickly sweet. Would I repurchase: yes.

Lush Butterball Bath Ballistic: This is the only bath bomb I can use from lush, leaves my skin feeling amazing. Also it’s so gentle and inoffensive, sure your bath isn’t sure pretty and colourful but these will definitely benefit your skin. Would I repurchase: yes.
empties #11 ft dovd

Dove Anti-Frizz Serum: This year has been all about hair oils but this has been the first one I have finished as I like to mix and match. This smells delightful and leaves my hair feeling silky and smooth, keeping it repaired and strong. Would I repurchase: yes.

empties #11 ft ted baker and primark

Ted Baker London Body Spray: A mix of rose, sandalwood and raspberry a delicate mix of sweet and spicy, perfect for all times of year with its warms and depth. The thing I love with body sprays are that they last all day never loosing much scent, it’s also handy that it comes in a plastic bottle so you know that it is safe and won’t break. This scent is great and there is a whole range to complement this which is a great set to pick up over Christmas. Would I repurchase: Yes.

Primark Blackcurrant and Plum Scented Candle: Some of the Primark candles smell amazing but don’t kick out that much scent when burnt but this one was absolutely amazing. It is probably more of Autumnal scent as it is so warming and blackcurrant is definitely more of a winter thing. Would I repurchase: yes.

Phew! another empties over a done with just in time for Christmas.

GRWM: Christmas Work Do

Work PArty MAkeup

So I had my work do last week, although it wasn’t much more than an evening meal fairly tame but pleasant all the same and I thought I would do a little bit of a GRWM for it.

grwm ft no7, nivea, superdrug & botanical choice

First up I cleanse my face with the Nivea Daily Essentials Cleansing Cream Wash, just in order to make sure my face was fully clean and hopefully clear. Then for a little bit of TLC while I straightened and sort my hair out, using the Botanical Choice Dark Circle Reducer Eye Patches in Sunflower which just are super refreshing and then to bring down my current spots and breakouts I have been using the Superdrug Deep Action Anti-Blemish Gel. I couldn’t be bothered to do much with my hair fancy wise and simply straightened it which my straighteners and the TRESemme Heat Defence Spray. So once that’s all done I whip out the No 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water (review coming January 2016) just to make sure my skin was ready for makeup, I just like this step before makeup application so I know my skin is ready.

grwm ft remmington & tresemme

On this day I decided to use my Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer to create my base and then creating my base with the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain. Keeping in with my complete Rimmel London base I use a combination of concealers using the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory for my under eyes and the Rimmel London London Lasting Finish Concealer in Porcelain on my blemishes. I set my makeup with the bareMinerals Mineral Veil just a beautifully light translucent powder, before adding a few finishing touches to my face.

grwm makeup ft urban decay and maybelling

Very unlike me I decided not to use a blush, instead opting for the bareMinerals Warmth as a blush/bronzer I really do not give this product enough love or attention as it’s a great product to create dimension and life to your face. To add a highlight I used the Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in Peach Lights, this is so pretty in the packaging but as the first time I used it I found myself disappointed and it took a lot of work to get something from it.

Slightly different eye base this time opting for the Maybelline New York Colour Tattoo 24 HR in Pink Gold, which was a perfect base and I just applied and blended it out with my finger. Unfortunately I cannot remember exactly how I created the look but I used my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette to create a pretty pink eye look, with sparkle and depth. To define and separate my bottom lashes I used the bareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara with such a thin, narrow brush it is perfect for lower lashes and allows you to get in there, yet I used the L’Oreal Paris Miss Manga Punk Mascara to my top lashes which gave big lashes. Finishing off with a touch of Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 08, my all time favourite lipstick.

Like I said we went for a meal out so I wore Primark Chiffon Shirt tucked into a New Look Skater Skirt, I always love this look as it is super cute and works for a variety of functions. It is comfy to wear, yet cute and stylish as well as fitting for the occasion. I opted for the slightly more causal some buttons undone and rolled up sleeves although it would have been super easy to dress it up if I felt as though it would be more appropriate to dress up more. As I drove I opted for flats opposed to changing shoes when I got there, so I wore the Asda Black Ballet Pumps super comfy and practical, finishing the look off with H&M Faux Leather Jacket from last winter and a New Look Snake Skin Detailed Clutch from way back in 2012. The clutch is a great size able to hold my phone, purse, keys and lip products basically holding everything I need for going out for the evening.

get ready with me

So that’s what I wore for my works Christmas do, what are you doing for your works Christmas thing?

Faces of The Week: Part One

I thought it would be fun to do like a week in workwear type thing, but I have no tripod or anyone to photograph the outfits and I’m not much of a fashion blogger. So I thought I would do a faces of the week, showing what type of makeup I ware for work each day. So you can get to see a variety of work suitable makeup looks, I also thought this would inspire me to use more of my products as I try to create 5 slightly varied looks.

As I started writing it up, the length of the post seemed to get ridiculous as I think I might waffle too much but then I also suck at cutting things out. Luckily I am planning to go out on Saturday night so I can put three days here and three days in a follow up post on Tuesday. I hope you enjoy.

Mondays makeup ft ps love, rimmel

Monday

I also start with a decent base, I’m back on using my favourite moisturising primer Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer it is definitely more moisturising than priming but it is a good strong base. As my core foundation, Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain, is slightly too light I mix it with Bourjois Paris 123 Perfect CC Cream in 31 Ivory, an Ivory which is by no means Ivory but a great foundation, so I mix them just to gain the right colour. I also use my P.S. Love Egg shaped sponge to apply and blend as I feel as though it offers the smoothest blending. To cover up any dark circles and spots I used my Rimmel London Lasting Finish Concealer in 010 Porcelain, a great heavy duty concealer which takes quite a bit of blending but once you get the hang it, it’s a decent concealer.

I’m currently trying the pretty Maybelline Color Show Blush Em! Which just adds a small touch of flush as it isn’t quite as pigmented as I maybe would have liked but it’s workable and it just needs building up. Then finally to set my makeup I use my bareMinerals Mineral Veil, a beautiful light translucent powder that sets up doesn’t look cakey.

I always prime my eyes, not all of my eyeshadows require it but I do it just in case to simply ensure they last all day. My favourite eye primer is the Urban Decay Primer Potion, just a little bit goes such a long way. To create Mondays eye look I used my MUA Luxe Pretty Edgy Eyeshadow Palette, I started with Bow all over the lid, building up definition with a touch of Flounce in the crease and finishing it all off with Antique as an inner corner highlight to finish off the look. To finish off the eyes I just use the P.S. Love Lift and Curl Mascara, which add volume and good curl to the lashes. It is also similar to the Benefit Roller Lash just much cheaper so it is worth picking up.

I finished up with a pinky berry type lip, which as a high shine crayon adds more of a wash of colour opposed to something more heavy duty.  I like these types of colour but definitely prefer them that are sheerer, so the No7 High Shine Crayon in Statement is perfect.

As well as the P.S. Love Egg Sponge the other tools I used was my trusty Cosmopolitan Blush Brush, my favourite powder brush which I only use with my mineral makeup which is the bareMinerals Full Flawless Face Brush. The final brush I used was the best double use brush the bareMinerals Tapered Shadow and Crease brush, which is super useful as you only need one brush.

Tuesdays Makeup ft No 7, bareminerals and urbandecay

Tuesday morning never feels quite as bad as waking up at the same time on a Monday, I mean I only get up at 6:45 it isn’t exactly the worst. I started Tuesday with a new primer to me as my last primer ran out which seems to start of this running theme of brands. I am finding with drugstore primers I am preferring the more moisturising primers and the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer is no exception thick and creamy it creates a smooth base for my face, and I really enjoy the feel of it on my skin. Although I am using a sample version of L’Oreal True Match Foundation in Rosy Ivory I have had it before and I’m considering buying a new one as soon as my current foundation runs out. Although I have a love/hate relationship with this depending if my skin is going through a dry patch or not. I also used two concealers this time using the Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer in 010 Porecelain for spot and blemishes while I used the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer to brighten up and conceal my under eyes. I’m a total sponge convert with applying my base stuff, I am definitely considering trying out the Real Techniques sponge if anyone has tried it let me know what you think of it.

I’ve been obsessed with both of these recently, you’ve already seen the bareMinerals Mineral Veil yesterday and to add to this, I absolutely love my bareMinerals Luminary Blush in Sunwashed Berry. I only used a small pop of it for this days look simply to keep it simple and subtle next to my bright coral dress for the day. For both of these I use the bareMinerals Flawless Face brushes one big one small, the set came with the brushes and I have found that the bareMinerals are definitely the best brushes for mineral makeup.

Since last October when I first tried and then became hooked on the Urban Decay Primer Potion, I have no idea how good eyeshadows perform on their own. Yet all of my eye looks look perfect and last all day, like the neutral eye look I created with my No 7 Mini Eyeshadow Palette using a mixture of colours from the top row and using a darker one from the bottom as eyeliner. To apply the eyeshadow I used a Wilko Eyeshadow brush to apply the colour, a Body Shop Eyeshadow Blender Blush to blend out the crease, and the Body Shop Slanted brush to line the eye. Then as my mascara I used the bareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara, which really opens the eyes and I absolutely love it.

Due to the bright coral of my dress I also wanted to play down the lips too I simply dabble a bit of my Rimmel London Keep Calm Lip Balm, no harm in keeping my lips hydrated.  I also used a touch of my travel size Elizabeth Arden Pretty which is just a really girly scent.

Wednesday Makeup ft no 7, bareminerals, loreal

On Wednesday I wore the same bases as I did on Tuesday, there are only so many bases a normal person has and these were still on my dresser top as I needed to photograph Tuesday’s makeup still. At 7am I am too lazy to put too much thought into it, if its’ there I will use it. So I feel as though there is no point mentioning the base again. The only switch up was I used the Purminerals Blush in Armour which is a reddy bricky type colour and it was nice to wear for a change as it’s such a simple blush and I rarely get the use out of it so it was nice to switch it up

Once again I started my eyes with the Urban Decay Primer Potion, I don’t think I will ever go without it apart from with cream eyeshadows. Once again I reached for my No7 palette probably because it was out and made another simple natural eyes. It has become my go to palette for work looks as you cannot go wrong with it really especially using just the top line. This may or may not be appearing in my monthly favourites. I then finished my eyes off with the P.S. Love Lift and Curl and Mascara.

For my lips I used my all-time favourite lip liner, the Rimmel London Exagerate Lipliner in 063 East End Snob a typical and beautiful Kylie Jenner lip colour. I wrote a review for it earlier in the year which you can read here, this is my third one now, it is pretty much a staple in my collection now. Then over the top I used a P.S. Love Gloss Stick, I initially hated this when I brought it super greasy and it is so I would never wear it on its own (see review here). However, when placed over the matte lipliner you don’t feel it or not so badly as the matte lip liner is slightly on the drying side.

Despite being in a zombie like state of not enough sleep, I am super pleased with Wednesdays Look.

So those were my makeup looks for the first half of the week, super simple because no one at 7am can be bothered with too much effort? What are your key daily products for creating a makeup look for work. The post for the second half of this weeks makeup will be up on Tuesday.

Empties #6

Empties

I always seem to collect more and junk until it seems to get excessive, its always as though I think that’s not enough for a post and then suddenly I have a bag full of junk. It always seems weird my obsession reading/watching empties videos as its kinda loads of mini reviews.

Makeup

Makeup

Collection Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer in Naked: This is my second possibly even third one of these and I love it for brightening up the under eye area. My main issue with these is that you cannot tell when you’ve almost finished, I used it one morning and then next nothing more came out. You pretty much always need to have a back up if you like them which sucks.

Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser: Depending on the condition of my skin as and when I use it has really varied my opinion on this but most of the time I have liked it but ever the beauty blogger in me I always have to try new things. You can read a more in depth review of what I thought of the baby skin primer here.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain: I loved this foundation and I think I may need to pick up a new one as it has such a beautiful dewy finish and it is great for spring summer. I am currently enjoying my lasting finish foundation but I think I will come back to the wake me up foundation after its done or I may give in to temptation and buy another one as it is a perfect summer foundation.

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in 063 East End Snob: This has become a major obsession, so obsessed that I still have two more of these in my current make up stash. It is one of those products that is definitely worth the hype so if you are curious about it go and pick it up. I did a full review of it which you can check out here.

Skincare

P.S. Love Love Your Skin Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Wipes: So these are one of the many options of Primark own range wipes but I picked these up as they just seemed different, you can see my initial view of them here. I absolutely love them they are really refreshing, although they are not actually any good for removing the bulk of make up it is great for once you’ve removed your make up and you just want the scrubby clean feeling. I will definitely repurchase this.

Tesco Cleansing Facial Wipes for Sensitive Skin: I think I have mentioned these before they are no way near as good as the old Tesco everyday value wipes which you cannot get anymore. They’ll do on lazy days or to correct mistakes/clean your hands while doing makeup.

Botanical Choice Eye Puffiness Minimising Patches in Ginkgo: I featured the sunflower version of these in my last empties and I decided to try the ginkgo ones. I am still not convinced that the actually do anything but they feel so cool and refreshing so even if they don’t do anything it doesn’t matter as it’s less than £2.00 a pack.

Superdrug Vitamin E Radiance Eyecream: I’m so lazy with my eye creams so I’m unlikely to ever see results unless I kick myself up the arse and get into gear. Also this felt like such a drying cream so if you know any good eye creams let me know in the comments below.

Superdrug Nourish Nail Polish Remover

Nails

Superdrug Nourishing Nail Polish Remover: I’m not sure there is much to say about nail polish remover as it is what it is, I have found that the acetone free is not as good at removing nail polish as those with acetone but it is definitely kinder on the skin around the fingers. I am not loyal to any nail polish removers regardless as I just grab what is around when I need a new one.

Wilkinson’s Fruits Strawberry and Pomegranate Fragrance Explosion Bath Bomb: This smelt amazing and left the water a beautiful baby pink colour, it just made for such a relaxing bath. The bath bomb could be split for two baths but they are so inexpensive there is definitely no need to and if you want a luxury bath without the price of lush you should check them out.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Shower Gel: I am so in love with this it smells amazing and it sucks it was only a Christmas fragrance so I hope they bring it back, luckily I have a second bottle that I am using now. Its really rich and creamy and is a great shower product for both morning and night as its sweet and subtle and not over powering.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Polish: My ongoing vanilla obsession, I received this in a gift set with one of the shower gel and I’ve loved using it. Not as harsh as a body scrub it is a really light exfoliate so you can easily use it every other day, I will definitely grab more if it comes back at Christmas.

Dove Beauty Finish Anti-Perspirant: I love Dove Deoderant defiantly my go to brand as you don’t sweat and there are a lovely range of scents. This isn’t my favorite scent but is definitely a good one and I would pick it up again.

So there are my empties for this month, hope you enjoyed reading it and I’ll talk to you soon.

Love
