April Favourites

Where on earth did April go when we are back to this already? Anyway lets get to it with what i have been loving in April.

April Favourites

I had a love hate relationship with the old formula but I am head over heels in love with the L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation in Rose Ivory. The old formula used to go patchy and weird if I was suffering from dry skin, this one is thinner without compromising on the coverage but is more hydrating and sits nicer on the face. I use a sponge to apply and it just evens me out, the colour is also perfect for me.

My Fragrance of the month has been The Body Shop Madagascan Vanilla Flower Perfume Oil, the oil based texture took a little getting used to but the scent lasted all day. It’s a sweet subtle vanilla scent and is subtle in notes. So I smell nice all day but it isn’t overpowering, so glad to get this as a birthday gift as I never would of picked it up otherwise.

I am finally back into painting my nails and my favourite this month has been Barry M Aquarium Collection Nail Paint in Caspian, not necessarily a colour for this time of year but with its duo-chrome colour it is so damn pretty.

I don’t know if it is weird to have a anti-bacterial gel as a favourite but I absolutely the Cuticura Candy Apple Hand Gel. I don’t like the hand gels that smell really alcoholic and this one is perfect, it just smells like sugary candy fruit sweets. One final honourable mention to my Tangle Teezer, I took it on holiday and I am back to using it daily and I am so glad I am. Best hairbrush ever.

So that is what I loved over the course of April, what have you been loving? Let me know in the comments below

DIY Pamper Jar Inspiration

So today I thought I would do a quick post about a small gift I did for I did for one of my best friends from university. I’ve seen these jars all over the place and thought I would do it myself, this isn’t a DIY per say but this is what I filled it with and how I wrapped it all up.

DIY Pamper Jar - Kilner Jar

I was so long to find this pink Kilner jar on offer, and I built it all up around this jar. It’s a really great size and I knew she’d find a use for it in the future whether within her passion for baking or for general storage.

The next thing was to fill it up, wrapping each thing in cute stared tissue paper so everything that is in there will be a surprise. I started off with two Soap and Glory travel sized items, a body scrub and the old favorite righteous butter. A perfect pairing for travel or just to try. I then went for a load of little treats from a Foot Pack, Aussie hair mask and a selection of face masks. Finally to finish off the jar, I packed in 3 nail polishes two beautiful shades of purple and a glitter top coat. All small items that I knew she’d love and appreciate and I think that’s the joy of the pamper or treat jars that you can do whatever you want with them.

I found the cute star tissue paper in the card factory and this pink and white bag in the pound shop. I just feel like they really finish the whole gift off, it looked so cute and she loved the gift.

So have you ever made up one of these jars, what would you put in it and would you make this for a friend?

Review: L’oreal Paris Infallible Eyeliner in 303 Shimmering Black

Despite buying this back in November (see the haul here) I only opened this last month and thought I’d do a little review of it here. I love a good pencil eyeliner so thought I would put the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eyeliner in 303 Shimmering Black to the test.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeliner

I actually picked up the shimmering black by accident and only looked at the label once I’d opened it so I was stuck. For any non-UK readers, as I know returns policies vary, once a product is brought and opened it cannot be returned unless an item is faulty items can only be returned if in a resalable condition. Which kind of sucks but it meant I actually was pushed to find a use for it and put it to the test, perfect for reviewing.

I love the fact this is a thin twist up eyeliner so that I don’t have to remember to sharpen it and it keeps it as a thin, narrow pencil which is what you want in an eyeliner. It twisted up and past the initial swatch and getting off probably a light coating, it’s smooth and creamy and goes on perfectly. I was so impressed of how well it went on and it didn’t need blending especially the first time I used it. The only place it needs building up is on the water/type line but on the eyelid itself it was no problem at all.

The first day I put in on under my eyes, type line and along my lash line while wearing eyeshadow. Unfortunately it didn’t last the day upon checking my makeup at in the toilets at 3:00pm it was patchy and broken up despite the rest of my eyes still looking perfect from my primer. It has also come off under my eyes although that was more faded than broken. Then I tried it on its own, which seemed to last much better with only minor fading. It seems to last way better on its own rather than pair with eyeshadow which is a shame it cannot be used both ways, so will just be for a simple makeup day.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeliner in Shimmering Black Swatch (1)

I later tried it to create a lazy smoky eye and it smudged out to essentially nothing, which was super disappointing, I ended up taking off my makeup and starting it all over again. This may be more of a colour issues as the black in it is not super pigmented rather than the product itself. However the poor performance in terms of longevity really has put me off bothering with buying the actual black eyeliner as I fear it will crack, fade or come off variable

Overall it’s a decent eyeliner but with its inability to last when paired I cannot recommend it, it may work for you if you don’t wear eyeshadow but it is not versatile and its staying power is so-so. So I think it may be best to look elsewhere for your eyeliner needs, let me know if you have any other recommendations for pencil/windup eyeliners in the comments.

March Favourites

march faves ft nivea

So I missed my favourites month due to work load ect. so I skipped it, so this is a slightly combined monthly favourites as I am writing this slightly earlier than usual, as today I have just got back from an Easter Break. Hopefully I’ve had a good time and you’ve followed my adventure on Instagram, but it’s been a good month tons of seeing friends, my birthday and time away.

No 7 Pop & Glow Cream blushL'Oreal paris volume million lashes

Two of my biggest makeup favourites this month have already been mentioned on my blog but I still really love them first up is the L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes. I reviewed this initially in January and you can find the full review here , but I cannot get over how good my lashes look every day. If you have not tried this out yet I highly recommend you head straight to an L’Oréal Counter. My second I featured in my previous post which was my ‘Go To Makeup Look’, the No 7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush in Classic Rose, which just keeps me looking fresh faced and dare I say flawless.

A big love this month has been hand creams, I have a small body lotion in my purse and the pretty Ted Baker one on my desk and work. My favourite hand cream however has been the Nivea Smooth Nourishing Hand Cream, a subtle smell and it smells similar to a lot of other Nivea products probably closest in smell to the night creams etc. but most of all they are highly moisturising.

I’m finally back on the oval cotton pads and have been loving the ASDA Skin Systems Oval Cosmetic Cotton Wool Pads, these are really well made and don’t end up tearing apart. Also no more using loads and loads of cotton pads, if you haven’t tried these yet highly recommend trying out oval pads. I’ve also been loving the Boots Essentials Cucumber Creamy Cleanser and Toner I have been using them every morning and evening and my skin looks and feels so much better because of this. They are super affordable too which is great.

So that’s a little insight as to what I have been loving this month, hope you all had a great March and a lovely Easter weekend. I will be back on Friday with a peak into what I got up to on my Easter break.

Go To Makeup

got to makeup

I was completely stuck on what to post and thought I haven’t done an ‘every day’ routine in a while, I much prefer these as I love known what people reach for and use every day. Also I always find it interesting to see what people do day-to-day as the difference in what people consider to be ‘essential’ varies. My ‘go-to’ makeup is what I wear daily to work, as weekends vary depending on plans from no makeup to the whole hog, so this is daily/work makeup routine.

go to makeup face ft nivea, rimmel and no 7

I feel like this product has started every single one my routines that I have done while having this blog but I don’t think my makeup sits right without it and it’s the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer, really hydrating. At the moment I am using the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain, I love the Rimmel foundations as they really work for me and have a good colour range. This is a good medium with medium coverage so it evens out and isn’t too heavy. Then to finish off my base I use the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer under my eyes, it’s a great brightening concealer although I always tend to have slight darkness I feel though this works well.

Awake and natural is my go to look at the moment, looking fresh faced and youthful while it doesn’t look like I’m trying to yet and a great weapon in my arsenal is the No. 7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick in Classic Rose, not heavy in colour in anyway but it adds a great flush to my face. The other benefit of a cream blush is that it lasts all day, and this one blends effortlessly so not much needs to be done. Finally to lock it all in a use a light dusting off Collection Pressed Powder in Ivory, I don’t use a lot just enough to help make it last. Once my face is on I use my Body Shop Mango Lip Butter ready for whatever I choose to use on my lips once I’ve finished, so they don’t dry out.

go to makeup eyes ft l'oreal paris, collection and bareminerals

The the eyes are super simple too, I use the L’Oreal Paris So Couture Super Liner to line my upper lid. It’s a deep black, as well as easy to use and manipulate to create the desired line and thickness. I tend to keep it simple though with a thin line close to the lash line to help define my eyes. Then for my lower lash line I use the Collection Colour Intense Kohl Pencil, which is my all-time favourite pencil. It just adds a little bit of something, minimal effort which provides a good amount of impact. To finish the eyes I use two mascaras, the old favourite BareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara for my lower lash line as I love the narrower brush, then on my top lashes the L’Oreal Paris So Couture Volume Million Lashes (psst! full review here). Two great mascaras which define and add volume, I just love my eyes in this. The lips are inconsistent some days I use just a lip balm, while others I mix it up it is fairly inconsistent and goes on a whim really.

What are your go to products? What products can you simply not get enough of?

L’oreal Volume Million Lashes So Couture Mascara Review

l'oreal paris volume million lashes

Who doesn’t love trying out a new mascara? I cannot resist my favourite two to date have been the Maxfactor False Lash effect and the Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascaras but I always want to try the next thing. I already have lashes which are a longish and are fairly thick, with a natural curl so most mascaras even crap ones tend to work well as I have good lashes to start with. However I like to look for a mascara which just adds volume, definition and leaves a flutterier look. Enter the L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes.

Millionize your lashes with L’Oréal Paris’ new mascara: Volume Million Lashes. The Millionizer Brush has a multitude of bristles which separate lashes for a fanned-out effect. The Excess Wiper removes excess mascara: no overload, no clumps.

L'oreal paris million lashes wand

The wand for this mascara pretty much a typical plastic wand, which are definitely my preferred wand type as I just find they grab my lashes better and provide and effect I love. So I am so pleased this has a plastic wand, one of the main things I actually look for in a mascara. I also like the fact one end is thinner allowing you to get into the corners and work on coating all of your lashes for maximum impact. This is a definite high impact mascara which adds volume and helps emphasise your lashes. I cannot really comment on curl as I have naturally curled lashes and it just helped bring more attention to it and make my eyes look more awake. The difference it makes is insane though, one light coat still leaves me with amazing lashes although I’m not out of the habit of building up mascara which can create a beautiful, more dramatic look.

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes

I have to admit form the very first use I have loved this mascara, I have been so impressed and fallen in love with it. So I would definitely recommend it despite being on the pricier side of drugstore mascaras (possibly) it’s so worth it, I think it’s going to be hard to find a mascara which competes.

Have you tried the L’Oréal Volume Million Lashes and if so what do you think of it? Also let me know what your favourite mascaras are so I know what to try next?

No 7 Beautiful Skin

No 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water

By now the majority of us have tried cleansing/micellar waters especially from brands such as Simple, Garnier and L’Oreal Paris, and here’s one I haven’t tried before nor have heard much about the No 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water. So I thought I would give it a go.

I always feel as though the Boots No 7 brand is often overlooked, I feel as though for most people view it as for older people but it is a really great brand. With high quality makeup and skincare, although it’s not the cheapest brand especially as the No 7 Cleansing water is £9.50 for 200ml so much expensive than its drug store counter parts yet comparable to a lot of other brands. One tip I will give is that Boots regularly give out vouchers for No 7 products with purchases, £3 off makeup and £5 off Skincare. So most of the time you will be able to get it for £4.50, or get it with many other offers available at Boots.

The product comes in a tall plastic bottle with a pump top, there isn’t a cap but the pump top can be twisted to lock it so you don’t accidently spill it everywhere. The pump is a nice touch, preventing the use of too much product and it is obviously a pricier packaging option, nice but not necessary. Unlike the other Cleansing Waters I’ve tried this one has a least a semi subtle scent

So first up and most importantly how does this deal with the removal of makeup? First and foremost due to the pump it takes that bit longer soak the cotton wool pads, or dampen them enough but that’s not really a big deal as most the time it prevents wasting the product. It swipes of product really easy and takes all of the makeup, so that nothing is left on the skin. For removing eye makeup I often find it best to hold the cotton pad on the eye for that bit longer, just hold it on for 10 seconds and it tends to remove, and at least loosen the worst of the product off as they days when I layer up mascara and go big it takes a bit more to get them off. All in all it works well as a makeup remover.

Obviously we don’t just use these things for makeup removal, sometimes it provides a good cleanse. I especially like using it as a pre-makeup cleanse when it’s been a decent amount of time from my morning skincare routine and I want to make sure my face is fully cleansed and clean. It’s a simple case of splash a cotton wool pad with some of the No 7 Cleansing Water and swipe it all over your skin, which is just super refreshing. I would liken it to the Ganier and other micellar water in how it leaves the skin, just how you want it clean and clear. It does exactly what you want it too, I especially love it before bed as it smells amazing. Use it before bed and you wake up in the morning with your skin feeling fresh and smelling amazing.

Overall I think that it is a great product, it does what it’s says it does and smells amazing and I would recommend giving it a go if you are curious. Is it better than others? No not necessarily as it works just as well as the others, it’s not hard as they are all great products and have transformed skincare routines no end. I understand here that price is an issue, although comparable some other brands Ganier, Simple and L’Oréal all offer great products for under £5.00 and I feel as though it depends what you wish to spend your money on.

Let me know what your favourite Cleansing Waters let me know in the comments below, is there any more I should try?

Empties #12

keep thinking I am always writing up empties posts but then it’s because I write the mini ‘review as and when I finish the product and then collect them up into the post (junk in my empties bin) has built up. I just find it is the best was to do it so that I can remember what the product is like while I used to write it all in one block, plus I stay more motivated. Anyway see what I’ve used up this time.

makeup empties ft rimmel, ps love and l'oreal paris

Rimmel London Wake Me Up! Concealer in Ivory: I’ve gone through a number of these as I feel as though this is one of the best drugstore under eye concealer on the market, and it is more likely to be in stock than the collection concealer. It really covers and brightens the under eye area and just wakes up your face and keeps it looking flawless. Would I Repurchase: yes, again and again.

Rimmel London 9-in-1 BB Cream: I won’t say much about it as I did a full review of it back in the summer which you can read here. Headline: liked it then, still like it now. Would I repurchase: possibly.

P.S. Love Lift and Curl Mascara: I tried this just after using the Benefit Roller Lash, any amazement in the curl ability and last from that went out of the window when I tried this. This adds a touch more curl, and creates more fluttery lashes which can be built up so I could go the whole hog or nice and natural. This is also so much cheaper with no tacky packaging. Would I repurchase: definitely.

L’Oreal Miss Manga Puny Mascara: Although I never follow the dates on makeup, naughty I know but if I followed it so much would get chucked out. I’ve had this almost a year and a while back it started to really irritate my eyes soon after putting it on and throughout the day so it’s had to go, saw me well over xmas though and it is almost finished anyway. For a review check out my post here. Would I repurchase: probably.

skin empties ft loreal and botancial choice

Superdrug My Little Star Cotton Wool Pads: (x2) Although I love the double faced pads from Boots you end up going through them so quickly, and I love using the bigger pads plus picking them up in the baby isle oppose to cosmetics mean they are cheaper and softer than the large cosmetic pads. This means I can use less pads to do my face or take off nail polish and these can be split in half if needs be. Also cute bonus these have cute teddy bears on them which you can see in my original haul.  Would I repurchase: yes.

L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water: By now we’ve all tried out a least one or two micellar waters in an attempt to find the perfect lazy but effective make up removal product, micellar waters seem to be that. Either as a makeup remover or a quick effective cleanse, and the L’Oreal Micellar Water is no exception. Although I think I prefer the Garnier version this is a damn good product the smaller bottle stops it lasting as long only lasting 2/3 months opposed to the 5 I can manage out of the garnier but it quickly and effectively removes the makeup and leaves my skin clear and fresh. Would I repurchase: yes.

Skin Therapy Face Wipes: I’ve mentioned these a fair number of times so won’t say much, these are okay and do the job. I tend to use these for a quick freshen up or touch ups while doing my makeup. Would I repurchase: yes.

Botanical Circle Reducer Sunflower Eye Patches: I live for these eyepatches which I have no idea if they do reduce the circles as I don’t use them regularly enough but they feel absolutely amazing. Would I repurchase: yes!

skin empties ft superdrug my little star, skin therapy & nair

Nair Gentle & Effective Ultra Hair Removal Sensitive Cream: Sometimes you just don’t want the effort of shaving and these creams can be great, I have to say these Nair ones are great and I’d consider getting more than the sachet but then again I don’t use them often and you only need one at a time as there is a lot of product. Also it cost £0.52 for two so well worth the price. They also worked in the 5 minutes. unlike some, wash off really well, don’t smell too strong and I didn’t have stubble for about a week so great for a week or long weekend away you won’t need razors and you’ll just have irresistibly smooth legs. Would I repurchase: yes, definitely.

The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub: It’s taken me a while to use this as I seem to go in phases with products such as body scrubs, but I love this scrub. Having a large and small exfoliating particles I feel as though it might do more but probably not it might just be in my head, but this works a dream especially for helping having smooth skin before shaving or just in general. This also smells amazing, it sucks blueberry was limited edition really but I will always attempt to repurchase this it’s to die for. Would I repurchase: yes, although it was limited edition. I would buy more of TBS scrubs.

Dove Soft Feel Antiperspirant Roll-On: I’m not fussy with deodorants although gel/sticks always offer protection, I just wasn’t sure of the initial smell of this one, not to my taste but it was okay. Would I repurchase: unlikely.

The Body Shop Almond Hand Cream: In winter hand creams are a must and I think the body shop almond is my favourite, this is my second tube. Deeply hydrating, not sticky, soaks in quickly and it smells like Bakewell tarts what more could you possibly want. Would I repurchase: for sure.

Macadamia Oil Foot Pack: I’m not going to say much these always appear in my empties as I love them so much. Would I repurchase: yes.

empties ft the body shop & dove

Elizabeth Arden Red Door EDT: Just one more after this until I’ve used all of my Elizabeth Arden Minis, I think these mixed scent sets are great especially as a gift or a way to try loads of new perfumes. Red Door is a great every day scent, sweet and kind of musky I think it’s a great work day scent just dab a small amount on the wrists and you’re great. It’s long lasting, just a really great scent and one of my favourite Elizabeth Arden scents I’ve tried. Would I repurchase: yes.

I love Raspberry and Blackberry Body Spray: I love perfumes but sometimes what you need is a sweet & refreshing body spray. This is deliciously fruity and lasts all day, I think it’s amazing, plus being plastic means it’s less likely to break in my bag. Would I repurchase: yes.

This One Gets You Silky Smooth Light Hair Oil: I love a good hair oil, this is one that was given to me by a friend to try as this is her favourite one and uses it ¾ times a week. It smells great and works into the ends of my hair super easy, the only problem it’s not the easiest to get hold but I have a number of hair oils on the go at the moment anyway so I’m not too bothered. Would I repurchase: if possible.

skin empties ft superdrug my little star, skin therapy & nair

Colgate Flurigard Mouthwash: I have being using this since I first got my braces 11 years ago and haven’t used anything else since. This leaves your teeth feeling wonderful and clean, and your breath so fresh. Would I repurchase: always.

Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Gel: I have to have hand gel in my bag, work desk, makeup station just to have perfectly clean hands, although I absolutely hate the just alcohol smell. This smells kinda alcoholic but more like a strawberry cocktail rather than sterile and is just a treat to use. Would I repurchase: yes, for sure.

Barry M Nail Paint in Fashion Icon: The cap snapped within days of buying it however for the first month or so of winter 2014 it seemed to be fine, I then stopped using it for the year and when I revisited it winter 2015 it was horrible and dry so into the empties it when. Saying that it was a so-so nail polish as it peeled off easily so I’m not too disappointed it’s dried up. Would I repurchase: no.

What have you used and loved in the last month or so? Let me know in the comments and i will speak to you guys soon.

December Favourites

December Faves

Wow so it’s the last day of December and the last day of 2015, so it seems best to end the year on the happy note that is a monthly favourites. I’m also assembling my 2015 favourites at the moment so I will be thinking of my all time of the favourites of the year which I have tried to keep varied from this. So this one is kinda on the short side highlighting 4 products I’ve loved this month.

december faves ft dolly mixture, loreal

My first favourite you may have seen if you looked at either of my makeup or look bits recently, it’s the MUA Blush in Cupcake. Similar in tone to the likes of Nars Sin being more dusty pink than anything else, sitting in that middle ground between blush and bronzer. I feel as though it is ideal for this time of year adding a hint of colour and some definition but it’s not too pink. I think this is just a super flattering and versatile blush.

With party season it was the season of big thick lashes, and the L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara as I am absolutely awful at lashes. Also with a more dramatic party look this is perfect for this time of year. I did a review of it back in the day which you can check out here (LINK). It’s on its last legs but I’m glad I got the most out of it over December before placing it in my next empties post.

december faves ft mua, loreal & the body shop

After picking it up on whim The Body Shop Colourglide Lipstick in Rose Quartz, has fast become a day to day lipstick especially for work at the start of the month. The red tone makes it feel festive but the slight berry red and the somewhat sheer quality makes it fit right into my comfort zone.

For ages I looked at the Dolly’s Mixture Shower gel but never bothered to pick it up, until one day I thought why not and picked up the Dolly’s Mixtures Shower Gel in Rhubarb and Custard. The only downside is that it makes me crave rhubarb and custard sweets which I love but you get to indulge without the calories. I’m just going to be sad when it’s finished.

primark ps love snow flake nails.jpg

Finally a bonus December favorites were my nails over Christmas which were from P.S. Love which you may of seen on instagram. I love them as they are festive but not in your face christmas nails as well as being super affordable.

So what have you loved over December or if not December, 2015 as a whole? Let me know in the comments. Also Happy New Year and have a great evening whatever you’re doing.

GRWM: Christmas Work Do

Work PArty MAkeup

So I had my work do last week, although it wasn’t much more than an evening meal fairly tame but pleasant all the same and I thought I would do a little bit of a GRWM for it.

grwm ft no7, nivea, superdrug & botanical choice

First up I cleanse my face with the Nivea Daily Essentials Cleansing Cream Wash, just in order to make sure my face was fully clean and hopefully clear. Then for a little bit of TLC while I straightened and sort my hair out, using the Botanical Choice Dark Circle Reducer Eye Patches in Sunflower which just are super refreshing and then to bring down my current spots and breakouts I have been using the Superdrug Deep Action Anti-Blemish Gel. I couldn’t be bothered to do much with my hair fancy wise and simply straightened it which my straighteners and the TRESemme Heat Defence Spray. So once that’s all done I whip out the No 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water (review coming January 2016) just to make sure my skin was ready for makeup, I just like this step before makeup application so I know my skin is ready.

grwm ft remmington & tresemme

On this day I decided to use my Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer to create my base and then creating my base with the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain. Keeping in with my complete Rimmel London base I use a combination of concealers using the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory for my under eyes and the Rimmel London London Lasting Finish Concealer in Porcelain on my blemishes. I set my makeup with the bareMinerals Mineral Veil just a beautifully light translucent powder, before adding a few finishing touches to my face.

grwm makeup ft urban decay and maybelling

Very unlike me I decided not to use a blush, instead opting for the bareMinerals Warmth as a blush/bronzer I really do not give this product enough love or attention as it’s a great product to create dimension and life to your face. To add a highlight I used the Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in Peach Lights, this is so pretty in the packaging but as the first time I used it I found myself disappointed and it took a lot of work to get something from it.

Slightly different eye base this time opting for the Maybelline New York Colour Tattoo 24 HR in Pink Gold, which was a perfect base and I just applied and blended it out with my finger. Unfortunately I cannot remember exactly how I created the look but I used my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette to create a pretty pink eye look, with sparkle and depth. To define and separate my bottom lashes I used the bareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara with such a thin, narrow brush it is perfect for lower lashes and allows you to get in there, yet I used the L’Oreal Paris Miss Manga Punk Mascara to my top lashes which gave big lashes. Finishing off with a touch of Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 08, my all time favourite lipstick.

Like I said we went for a meal out so I wore Primark Chiffon Shirt tucked into a New Look Skater Skirt, I always love this look as it is super cute and works for a variety of functions. It is comfy to wear, yet cute and stylish as well as fitting for the occasion. I opted for the slightly more causal some buttons undone and rolled up sleeves although it would have been super easy to dress it up if I felt as though it would be more appropriate to dress up more. As I drove I opted for flats opposed to changing shoes when I got there, so I wore the Asda Black Ballet Pumps super comfy and practical, finishing the look off with H&M Faux Leather Jacket from last winter and a New Look Snake Skin Detailed Clutch from way back in 2012. The clutch is a great size able to hold my phone, purse, keys and lip products basically holding everything I need for going out for the evening.

get ready with me

So that’s what I wore for my works Christmas do, what are you doing for your works Christmas thing?
