Mega Empties Part Two

Mega Empties Part Two

So I had way more empties then it seemed reasonable so my empties got split between two posts,if you wish to see make up and skin care empties check out my other post here. This post with cover bath body and hair. So lets get going so I can finally chuck everything out.

bath and body

Bath and Body

Shea Butter & Peppermint Deep Moisturising Foot Pack: I have no idea what brand these are as my mum picked them up from body care but I also like the ones from home bargains. These work so well on dry cracked feet and are mess free simply stick on the booties and leave on for 15-20 minutes while you so something else. I’m endlessly buying these as they are amazing especially as summer is coming up and you’ll have your feet out more and more.

Gingko Biloba Intensive Rejuvenation Foot Pack: I love foot packs as you can tell, as more and more come out I’m just trying all the different ones out and I haven’t found a bad one yet

Wilkinsons Fruits Rhubarb and Vanilla Fragrance Explosion Bath Bomb: I’ve been curious about these bath bombs for a while as they are so inexpensive and smell great in the packet so seem way better value for money. So they make the bath smell amazing but that seems to be it they don’t change the colour and don’t do anything spectacular to your skin but they are still nice to try and I thoroughly enjoyed using it just to try out but I’m not sure if I’d try again although they are only around the £1.00 mark.

Sanex Sensitive Shower Gel: I don’t know if they still sell these in the same packaging but I will always buy the sensitive version as its my favorite scent and always feels nice on the skin. I cannot think how to explain the smells but its simply sweet and nice. They last ages and well worth trying out.

Radox Nourish Bath Soak with Ginger and Shea Butter: This was the most amazing nourishing bath soak ever my skin felt so smooth and nourished as it did after using this. It didn’t have that many bubbles but I feel like sometimes bubbles aren’t important if it leaves your skin feeling amazing afterwards. It’s also so soothing and relaxing after a long day so perfect with a few candles and a good book (or a text book, the joys of final year). I may repurchase it but I’m never loyal to bubble baths/bath soaks and like to mix it up but I may rebuy it at some point I definitely wouldn’t turn it down.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Butter: This was one of the Body Shops Christmas scents and as its vanilla i wanted it, I received the set as a gift from my boyfriend parents. It was lovely and it is a shame that it was only a Christmas scent as I prefer this to the regular vanilla scent.

haircare batiste and tresemme

Hair

TRESemme Smooth Salon Silk Shampoo and Conditioner (both 900ml): These have lasted absolutely months and they are my all time favorite shampoo and conditioner I barely use anything else as they leave my hair feeling super clean and amazing. They do smaller bottles but the bigger ones are better value for money especially as I stock up on when they are like 2 for £5 or half price which is always possible simply due to how long they last you can always wait for the right offer. I like the other offers but salon silk is by far my favorite great quality and amazing value for money.

TRESemme Colour Revitalise Colour Protection Treatment Masque: I’ve had this for ages but being a 500ml tub it just never stops going its just so good. I don’t know if they still do this one so I’m going to keep an eye out for it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Travel Sized in Blush: I’ve had this since last summer, tending to opt for the travel sizes as I rarely use dry shampoo, this smells really nice and batiste always do great dry shampoos. I have discovered that dry shampoo definitely works best putting it in the night before but then it depends why you are using it.

candles

Candles

Matalan Vanilla Sugar Candle: I love vanilla candles and this one from matalan was amazing kicking off loads of scent which was a really sweet vanilla. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn’t burn evenly so a lot of the candle is wasted which is a shame.

Primark Pineapple and Ginger Candle: I’m still undecided on this scent as I don’t know if I like it or not as its very different to what I usually go for but these smaller candles are only £0.80 so it wasn’t a waste. I don’t think I will repurchase it but it was nice to try something new.

Primark Sweet Berry and Patchouli Candle: I loved this just a lovely berry scent which is more subtle rather than over powering, it looks pretty with the little top and everything it is well worth trying out if you go to primark.

Phew I’m done, no more empties at least for now and hopefully not for a while. What have you been trying and loving at the moment.

Day 69: Summer Date Outfits on a Budget

Werther it’s a summer romance or a day out with a loved one you want to be stylish and comfortable this summer season, so here’s some gorgeous outfits for enjoying the long summer days with someone special. However I’m going to limit, myself meaning all outfits including everything will come in at £40.00 or under, proving that you can look stylish on a budget.

Picnic in the Park

1

♥ Playsuit: New Look £14.99 ♥ Flats: Asda £8.00 ♥ Cover up: Asda £16.00 ♥

So the key for a picnic is to keep it simple and comfortable. This lovely new look playsuit is perfect adding colour and pattern, with this being the key piece you can build everything else around it. I couldn’t believe it when I found matching shoes and because they are asda they are relatively in expensive. I decided to finish it off with the woven cardigan, perfect for providing coverage from harmful sun rays without making you too warm. If you wanted to you could add extra accessories but I think its best to keep it simple. This outfit comes in at £38.99.

Day at the Beach

2

♥ Bikini Top: £6.00 Matalan ♥ Bikini Brief: Matalan £4.00 ♥ Sarong: H&M £3.99 ♥ Sunglasses: Boohoo £4.00 ♥ Flip Flops: Asda £6.00 ♥ Headband: Asos £8.00 ♥

Just because you can buy the matching bottoms doesn’t mean you have to, I much prefer a patterned top and plain bottoms. Instead of adding colour with your bikini use a kaftan or sarong to add a burst of colour, much like this beautiful coraly one and it adds a bit of coverage and you can style it how you want to. Asda really are on the ball for inexpensive beautiful shoes this season so check them out, these flip flops also tie in the sarong in too keeping it pretty and summery. This outfit comes in at £31.99.

Playing Tourists

4

♥ Top: Boohoo £6.00 ♥  Shorts: New Look £14.99 ♥ Shoes: Matalan £8.00 ♥ Bag: Matalan £8.00 ♥ Necklace: H&M £3.99 ♥

Werther you are rediscovering your city with new eyes or going somewhere new playing the tourist is always a fun day out with your other half. Denim shorts are a perfect way to stay cool, stylish and comfortable this summer as the require no adjustments or checking if  everything is in place, the swing cami is so nice to pair with it as its loose and in this colour it brightens up an outfit. The most important bit about this outfit is the shoes as you’ll be doing a lot of walking these pumps will stay on your feet and provide comfort and support all day long, even if you are on your feet all day. The tan bag is a comfortable size to carry your camera, a drink and anything else you might want to take and with the long strap you can sling it over your shoulder and your arms wont get tired. This outfit comes to £38.98.

Lunch Date

3

♥ Dress: Select £14.00 ♥ Bag: H&M £7.99 ♥ Shoes: Tesco £7.00 ♥ Necklace: Asda £4.00 ♥ Bracelet: Asda £5.00 ♥

First up is the cute floaty dress, that will look amazing and keep you cool or comfortable. I made this outfit a lot of black to keep it simple and you could rewear it all for different occasions and with loads of other items  therefore in order to dress it up I added some really cute accessories that really tie it all together. If I owned this I’d end wearing this dress all the time, I may now have to get myself down to a select. This outfit comes in at £37.99.

So I hope you got a few ideas from this, let me know what you think of them. I really enjoyed making this post and looking all the clothes so let me know what you think of it and if I should do more of these types.

Day 23: Summer Staple: Kimono

Kimonos have been around for a while now and after finally jumping on the band wagon I think its going to be my summer staple so I’ll show you what I have, how to style and some great options that are out there.

The main reason I love kimonos is that they are so versatile they can dress up or down and outfit, add an all important extra layer for style or comfort and come in a range of materials, styles and patterns to suit all sizes, shapes and needs.

12

So I brought this black floral number with black edging from Matalan. It is so light and beautiful I’ve teamed it with leggings and skirts and it still looks equally good with both it just nicely ties up an outfit and really makes something simple just as a black skirt and vest top into something stunning. Also it is so light it add extra sun protection without been too hot, so this is going to get some serious wear out of it this summer. Available at Matalan for £14.00.

So here are some others you might want to consider:

13

Love blue? This beautiful floral number will add a touch of colour and girlishness to any wardrobe. I just love the cornflower/baby blue edging and the little bursts of colour within the kimono itself and I am so tempted to go and pick this up myself. Its chiffon material allows you to keep cool and protected from the suns rays while still been stylish. Available from Matalan for £14.00.

14Maybe you prefer something plain and simple this coral one from H&M is so cute and summery and comes down past your bottom so great for covering up bits you don’t like or teaming with a cute plain black or white summer dress. If this coral isn’t your colour H&M over plain kimonos is a range of colours including mint green and white too. Available at H&M for £9.99.

15

Going out for a drink in the evening or a family meal? A nice lace detail kimono ties and outfit together and can cover up any embarrassing tan lines. This one comes to about knee level so is definitely more of an evening item although I suppose it could be used as a beach item. This is also available in white and nude. Available at BooHoo for £20.00.

16

Release your inner boo hoo chic with this tasselled number from New Look. I love the cute embroidered detailing on the shoulders and around the bottom and think the thicker material of this makes it more of a jacket so will be good for those who are new to the kimono trend or just prefer more coverage. Available from New Look for £27.99.

17

And finally want to try something different, why not try this piece. A little more expensive but I think this could be a beautiful bold piece in any wardrobe and the print is beautiful. So if you are a little more daring and love starting a trend with all heads on you this is a must for any wardrobe plus I think this is such a versatile piece that it could easily transfer from summer to autumn changing dresses and shorts for a tee and skinny jeans. Available from River Island for £40.00.

So I hope you enjoyed this look at my summer staple of a kimono and maybe you’ve been inspired to try one. What is your favourite Kimono? Do you like Kimonos? What is your summer staple.

Day 19: OOTD

IMG_20140620_093026740

So going to do a quick little OOTD. Just wearing something simple but I love it.

So I am wearing a cute little strappy top from primark for something like £2.00, my skirt is from Matalan which I have had for a few years now but the colour has barely faded and it is textured and all cute. Finally I have by beautiful new kimono that I brought from Matalan they other day and it is so beautiful and I will get a lot of wear out of it this summer, well fingers crossed.

So yeah just a quick post as I have so much to do today and I have to write up blogs for tomorrow and Sunday as with my boyfriend visiting I won’t have time to write them over the weekend.
