Prepping for Holiday

glamorous-and-gorgeous-slc003-pamper-yourself-3003234-0-1329343680000

Of course we all want to look our best while on holiday and I for one am no exception, of course as mentioned I’m only going to Cornwall but as my only holiday this summer. So this is how I make myself beautiful for holiday.

Smooth Legs ft body shop, laura ashley, gillette

Shave and moisturise:

For summer we all want silky smooth skin, especially having beautiful soft silky legs as what else feels that amazing. So to start with I will use and exfoliator such as The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub Gelee, which smells so good you could almost eat it. This just removes any dead skin and really sets you up ready for shaving. Then onto the shaving using plenty of Satin Care Pure and Delicate Shave Gel paired with my Gillette Simply Venus Razor in order to achieve a close shave. If I want to be more thorough like I do when going away I tend to do this I will shave

In the sink so nothing gets missed and then jump back in the shower, usually using this time to use a hair mask so it’s not wasted or pointless. In order to keep my skin smooth I’ll use a body butter after shaving, I will always try to use a body butter daily but if all else fails I will use it after shaving. At the moment I am using the sweet floral Laura Ashley Imperial Bloom Body Butter, which is a nice break from my usual fruity Body Shop Body Butters.

fake tan ft johnsons

Even out skin tone

The week before coming away Christ it reached 35C back home however, when the sun comes out I still wear jeans/leggings or more often than not maxi skirts. So My legs and chest tan easily even with a high factor sun block but my legs are super pale so in order to rectify this I cheat. I am awful at traditional fake tan so I tend to opt for a gradual moisturising tanner although this is best when moisturising before still, at the moment I am using the Johnson’s Holiday Skin Lightglow Body Lotion. It may take longer to get the tan but its subtle and looks a lot more natural as you have more control.

Hair ft TRESemme, Body shop & tangle teezer

Silky Smooth Hair

About once a month I will use a hair mask depending on my hair condition but before going on holiday I will use a hair mask without fail. I’ll start washing my hair as normal with my trusty TRESemme Salon Silk Shampoo, just to ensure all the dirt, grime and grease is all removed. I’ve tried other shampoos but nothing leaves my hair as fresh and clean as TRESemme. Then I will pop out the shower squeeze my hair out, brush it through with my Tangle Teezer and even towel a lot of the excess moisture out. I will then take a small amount of The Body Shop Rain Forest Moisture Hair Butter  (read my review for it here), a little goes a long way with this one and I work it on my hands before thoroughly running it through the mid to ends of my hair. After running through my hair I will clip my hair on to the top of my head to keep the conditioner off my back. I then leave it in for 25/20 minutes which is longer than it usually says but it is definitely worth it. During this time I will do something else such as shaving my legs or some face exfoliating, basically using the time effectively.

Pretty Nails:

I like to keep things simple with my nails just one simple and pretty colour for my time away so it isn’t a huge amount of effort. I am using one of my favourites for a while which is the Barry M Speed Quick Dry in Eat My Dust, this is a beautiful pastel blue and I am so in love with it. I have used this with both my hands and feet as I’m so in love with it, a quick drying but long lasting nail polish.

There are some other things I may do but haven’t done this time such as a face mask or some foot TLC it just varies as I don’t always have what I need to hand. So what do you guys do before going away? Do you take the time to prepare of do you just decide it doesn’t matter your on holiday?

Empties #6

Empties

I always seem to collect more and junk until it seems to get excessive, its always as though I think that’s not enough for a post and then suddenly I have a bag full of junk. It always seems weird my obsession reading/watching empties videos as its kinda loads of mini reviews.

Makeup

Makeup

Collection Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer in Naked: This is my second possibly even third one of these and I love it for brightening up the under eye area. My main issue with these is that you cannot tell when you’ve almost finished, I used it one morning and then next nothing more came out. You pretty much always need to have a back up if you like them which sucks.

Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser: Depending on the condition of my skin as and when I use it has really varied my opinion on this but most of the time I have liked it but ever the beauty blogger in me I always have to try new things. You can read a more in depth review of what I thought of the baby skin primer here.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain: I loved this foundation and I think I may need to pick up a new one as it has such a beautiful dewy finish and it is great for spring summer. I am currently enjoying my lasting finish foundation but I think I will come back to the wake me up foundation after its done or I may give in to temptation and buy another one as it is a perfect summer foundation.

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in 063 East End Snob: This has become a major obsession, so obsessed that I still have two more of these in my current make up stash. It is one of those products that is definitely worth the hype so if you are curious about it go and pick it up. I did a full review of it which you can check out here.

Skincare

P.S. Love Love Your Skin Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Wipes: So these are one of the many options of Primark own range wipes but I picked these up as they just seemed different, you can see my initial view of them here. I absolutely love them they are really refreshing, although they are not actually any good for removing the bulk of make up it is great for once you’ve removed your make up and you just want the scrubby clean feeling. I will definitely repurchase this.

Tesco Cleansing Facial Wipes for Sensitive Skin: I think I have mentioned these before they are no way near as good as the old Tesco everyday value wipes which you cannot get anymore. They’ll do on lazy days or to correct mistakes/clean your hands while doing makeup.

Botanical Choice Eye Puffiness Minimising Patches in Ginkgo: I featured the sunflower version of these in my last empties and I decided to try the ginkgo ones. I am still not convinced that the actually do anything but they feel so cool and refreshing so even if they don’t do anything it doesn’t matter as it’s less than £2.00 a pack.

Superdrug Vitamin E Radiance Eyecream: I’m so lazy with my eye creams so I’m unlikely to ever see results unless I kick myself up the arse and get into gear. Also this felt like such a drying cream so if you know any good eye creams let me know in the comments below.

Superdrug Nourish Nail Polish Remover

Nails

Superdrug Nourishing Nail Polish Remover: I’m not sure there is much to say about nail polish remover as it is what it is, I have found that the acetone free is not as good at removing nail polish as those with acetone but it is definitely kinder on the skin around the fingers. I am not loyal to any nail polish removers regardless as I just grab what is around when I need a new one.

bath and body

Bath and Shower

Wilkinson’s Fruits Strawberry and Pomegranate Fragrance Explosion Bath Bomb: This smelt amazing and left the water a beautiful baby pink colour, it just made for such a relaxing bath. The bath bomb could be split for two baths but they are so inexpensive there is definitely no need to and if you want a luxury bath without the price of lush you should check them out.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Shower Gel: I am so in love with this it smells amazing and it sucks it was only a Christmas fragrance so I hope they bring it back, luckily I have a second bottle that I am using now. Its really rich and creamy and is a great shower product for both morning and night as its sweet and subtle and not over powering.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Body Polish: My ongoing vanilla obsession, I received this in a gift set with one of the shower gel and I’ve loved using it. Not as harsh as a body scrub it is a really light exfoliate so you can easily use it every other day, I will definitely grab more if it comes back at Christmas.

Dove Beauty Finish Anti-Perspirant: I love Dove Deoderant defiantly my go to brand as you don’t sweat and there are a lovely range of scents. This isn’t my favorite scent but is definitely a good one and I would pick it up again.

So there are my empties for this month, hope you enjoyed reading it and I’ll talk to you soon.

Superdrug Haul (Again)

Superdrug Haul ft rimmel and barry m

Once again I fell victim to offers in Superdrug and couldn’t resist it. So Superdrug did the 3 for 2 across makeup as well as the get 3 items and get a make up bag, I took full advantage of the 3 for 2 but I didn’t see the point in getting 3 makeup bags simply because I don’t need two identical makeup bags. Also I’m 21 the ‘#makeup’ has minimum appeal to me really. Also the cashier was lovely wanting to scan the items so I got the most out of it all in all saving me £11.99 taking my total from £35.45 to £23.46 so I love her for that. So anyway on to what I brought.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Skin Perfecting Full Coverage Foundation in 010 Light Porcelain: I love a full coverage foundation and I thought I’d give this ago I love Rimmel Foundations especially the wake me up the foundation. I know it seems crazy that I am opting for a full coverage foundation in the summer but it will be great for interviews to have a perfectly made up face as its a perfect colour it won’t look like heavy make up. I also Love how rimmel goes so light with shades. RRP: £7.99.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Concealer in 010 Porcelain: I always want to try new concealers and this ones is slightly different to the normal doe foot or brush type concealers and I was curious. I think I originally saw it on Vivianna Does Makeup Channel on youtube, so it makes you more curious than simply seeing it online. RRP £5.49.

Rimmel London BB Cream 9-in-1 in Very Light: I wasn’t sure which BB to go for this one or the radiance one which I suppose will be similar to the wake me up foundation line but I went for this. I also love that rimmel do a very light bb cream as often the shade light is not usually light enough so I was so excited for this. RRP £6.99.

Rimmel London Fix and Perfect Pro Primer: This was recommended to me ages ago by someone (if it was you I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten) but I wanted to wait until I used up my baby skin primers were used or almost used up. This is more of a cream texture opposed to some of the silicon primers I have used in the past but I’m excited to try this and see how it fits especially as I have normal to dry skin this may be great for me. RRP £6.99.

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in 450 Eat Me Dust: I really wanted some pretty pastel colours for spring/summer and I fell in love with this pretty pale blue, I think I may of also seen this on vivanna’s youtube too. I absolutely love it and I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of it this summer. RRP £3.99.

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in 503 Kiss Me Quick: Another pretty pastel in time for summer, I love pretty pink pastels as they are a great mix of nude and summery colours. I think I will also get loads of use out of this one. RRP £3.99.

Luckily I didn’t come out of superdrug with too much that I didn’t need and I’m excited to try it all out, I aim to do a review of a few of the items especially the bb cream as it is ideal for summer.

Mega Empties Part One

Mega Empties Part One

This is the biggest empties post I have ever done with a grand total of 25 items overall (between the two posts), it just seems like everything has ended as a massive collection. I’ve kept putting this off as the mini reviews can take a little bit of time but my empties are taking over my life so I thought I would just have to bit the bullet and get it over and done with. It is also so big that something that was going to start off as one post has now become two as there is just so much stuff, so today we’ll cover make up, Skincare and some random bits and pieces. Part two which will cover Bath and Body as well as hair which will be up next Friday.

Makeup

L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation Rose Ivory

L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation in R1 C1 Rose Ivory: My first issue with this is you cannot tell when this is used up and a lot of product seems to go to waste which is a shame, I was half way through my face when it ran out and had to take it off and start again so you probably always need a back up. I liked this foundation and its nice to have such a good colour match especially at the drugstore but I think due to being up able to judge it running out I think its something I would consider repurchasing but I’ll see what else is out there and possibly come back. Major bloggers bug now as I have to see what else is out there.

Skincare

skincare

Superdrug Superfruits Exfoliating Mask: This is the first time I’ve tried and exfoliating mask surprisingly and I really enjoyed it my skin felt amazing after. Also with a mix of raspberry, cranberry and blueberry it just smells amazing I will definitely pick it up again.

Superdrug Yoghurt Smoothie Mask: This is one of my favorite Superdrug face mask it smells sweet and subtle and just perfect for any time of year and any occasion. Also with cocoa butter it is really nourishing to the skin and as I have to odd dry patches it works wonders at hydrating the skin.

Superdrug Purifying Cucumber Peel-off Mask: I love peel off masks as I just feel like they fully clear out your skin. This cucumber one from Superdrug was really refreshing and felt really nice.

Superdrug Tropical Peel-Off Mask: Final mask I promise, I always buy sachet masks and I react funny to mud masks and I like to mix up my face masks. This one smelt like pina-coladas need I say more really.

Skin Therapy Normal & Combination Skin Lightly Frangrance Face Wipes: Why did Tesco stop doing there everyday value own brand wipes? I used to love those wipes these were the replacement and cost twice the price (okay from 50p to £1.00 isn’t a lot but its the principle), but these are a dud. They feel nice on bare skin if you feel a bit oily and you want a quick clean and cleanse but for removing make up they are too dry and do nothing. They are especially useless for removing eye make up so I’m on the search for a new inexpensive makeup wipe for lazy days.

Botanical Choice Dark Circle Reducer Eye Patches ‘Sunflower’: I threw out the box but I have the sachets you you can have a little glimpse, you get four goes within a pack. I’m not convinced how well they work but they feel really refreshing and really wake you up so I’m enjoying them for now. I’ll definitely pick up some more at some point.

Superdrug Deep Action Pore Cleansing Nose Strips: Are there any good ones of these? These seemed like a little bit of a dud and didn’t really do much and it always came off clean which it shouldn’t as I have loads of blackheads on my nose.

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Hydrating Cleansing Milk and Hydrating Toner: I received this in a swap from the lovely Danielle, it was like a 10 day treatment a long with mini moisturizer which I still haven’t finish they last way longer than that as a little goes a long way and they smell amazing well worth checking out if you can get your hands on them

Fashion Nails and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea

Other

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Perfume Sample Size (3.7ml): So I recived this last summer in a set with several other Elizabeth Adren Samples which you can check out here to see what else I got here. They last ages and are great for travel, this is the first one I’ve finished and I was unsure initially about this one but on hot or sunny days it was a nice and refreshing scent. I think now I would repurchase and these sample size was great to fully discover what you like and what you don’t.

P.S. Love Fashion Nails: These were a super cute owl design which I wore to london zoo for my 21st birthday, I love the primark nails they stay on really well and only cost £1-£1.50. These were on sale for 50p so how could I say no. Although the primark glue is alright I much prefer to buy my own elegant touch glue which is awesome and lasts ages

Phew we made it through the mountain of rubbish that I’ve been hording in my room. I’m now about to fill up the recycling with all of my junk. . . .

Primark Beauty Products: Review and Swatches

primark make up review and swatches

So as you may of seen last week in my primark haul, I purchased a load of there beauty range called P.s. Love although I couldn’t try as much as I wanted as the range was limited at the store I visited so I may do a part two some time soon.

Also I cannot seem to find the names of these of them although they all have a code on the product starting with a PS so I will try my best to describe the colour and write this code at the end.

P.S Love single eyeshadow

Eyeshadow Single: £1.00

I only picked up one single as it was simply a choice between this colour I got and a white so I thought I’d get most used out of this. Its a warm champagne taupe kinda colour, very natural, the swatch is similar to how it works on the lid and it adds a shimmery wash of colour. The high amount of shimmer I am more likely to use this for an evening look but its a good basic colour to have in the collection.

It is slightly chalky though and you need to ensure you tap the brush on you’ll end up with it all over your face and you do have to build it up to get the colour the same as it is in the pan. I think the singles at this price point like MUA and Make Up Gallery can be variable, some are amazing and some are awful. This is sort of middle of the road, you won’t loose out by purchasing it but there are definitely better options out there.

The packaging is simple and actually feels robust as it has the satisfying click and it does not just open on a whim. The pan is a great size and you  get a good amount of of product which I’m happy about, no one could ever be disappointed with how much you get. Finally there is a small mirror in the lid, not a practical size for application but its a nice touch and I appreciate the thought to include it. The single I tried is PS2994.

P.S Love Lift and Curl Mascara

Lift & Curl Mascara: £2.00

I really wanted to try a Mascara but had no idea where to start so I picked the lift and curl mascara simply because purple is my favourite colour, logic I know. The brush of one long side and one short side similar is becoming more and more popular these days which is great as I am thoroughly enjoying. This brush type really does create the curl and I absolutely love it, this didn’t quite match up to Benefits Roller Lash mascara but I’m loving the curl it creates and for only £2.00 it is worth checking out.

P.S. Love eyeliner duo

Eyeliner and Pencil Sharpener (2pack): £1.00

There were several different colour options but I went for the practical of a nude and white for neutral eyes and pretending I’m not tired. These swatched beautifully and I couldn’t wait to use them only problem was when I actually did. On the water line or the lid for that matter it resulted in not product transfer and no change in appearance which is a shame. Inexpensive but not worth picking up, pay a little bit more for something that is better quality.

P.S. Love lip crayon

Lip Gloss Crayon: £1.50

There were a number of colours but as sometimes lip crayons can be hit a miss, so if in doubt I’ll opt for a lighter neutral colour. I find lip crayons useful to slip in my bag for easy touch ups as they can’t really go wrong so I thought it would be a great idea to try one. As it can be seen from the swatch there is no colour pay off but I simply put that down to the colour I selected, it simply has a slight pink tint if you look hard enough and a load of glitter. I’m not keen on glitter lips especially for everyday so would only use it for a night time look, adding an additional layer of glitter between lectures can only look tacky and for a lip gloss stick it seems to only add glitter rather than a glossy finish. Unfortunately this is a no go as it feels so greesey on the lips, I even kissed my boyfriend when I had it on to see what he thought for the kissability test. He found it so greesey he was pulling faces and made me fetch him a make up wipe, it is not worth it. I don’t know whether to try the other colours or not as it is so hit and miss, have you tried any other of the lip gloss crayons if so what do you think? The lip gloss crayon I tried is light pink and has the code PS2652-01.

P.S. Love Blush Sticks

Blush Sticks (Coral & Pink): £1.50

I’d never used blush sticks before buying these two so it took a while to get the trick of applying these as its different to everything else. I picked up a beautiful bright pink and a coral type pink, which are beautiful and blend out effortlessly. They also stay on all day which is more a trait of cream blush rather than just these sticks themselves so its well worth having them in your collection. I think I do still prefer my powder blush but its well worth having a few cream products in your collection in your long days or nights when you want your make up to stay. If you want to try out to cream products but not sure what to make of them its not a bad to start off with the P.S Love range as they are pigmented, blendable and if you don’t like them its only £1.50 so you have nothing to loose really. Just one last think I suggest warming up before you use it so I simply pop it in my bra before I start doing my make up and then it applies perfectly. The blush sticks I tried was a bright pink (PS2996-01) and a coral pink (PS2996-00).

P.S. Love nails

Nail Polish: £1.00 £0.80

All of the nail varnishes are meant to retail for £1.00 but since December they’ve been priced at £0.80 which you cannot possibly go wrong with. Unfortunately I haven’t taken a snap of the nail varnish but this one is simply amazing, its a really good quality glitter polish in which great with two coats giving an amazing pay of and it looks great. It removes easily but it doesn’t peel off like the barry M glitter polishes, so swap inexpensive for even more inexpensive especially as glitter nails aren’t for everyday. I’ve tried a few other colours and am presently surprised with the quality of what I have tried so if you fancy one don’t hesitate to pick one up.

False Nails: £1.00

I picked up these false nails for 50p and couldn’t resist I’m planning to wear them this weekend when we go London Zoo for my Birthday. However I’ve brought countless set of nails in the pasts and I love them, they last a few days even more if you buy better glue and look amazing. Primark’s false nails are especially great for special nights out as they are so inexpensive and look absolutely amazing.

What have you tried from the P.S. Love range, what is worth trying and what isn’t? I’m impressed with some and not so with others but with the range been so inexpensive I don’t feel as though I’m wasted money.

Lots of Love

January Favourites

DSCF4437

So first favourites of 2015, woo woo. January has seemed like a long month with coursework, semester A exams and the start of semester b of my final year its been busy, I’ve also be lucky to have a week off where I took part in some pampering and retail therapy. So on with the favourites . . .

Ted Baker London Body Spray: I got this in a set from my sister for Christmas and I love the scent I’m unsure how to describe it but its mean to be rose, sandalwood and raspberry which is probably true its a floral fruity cross. This essentially fits in bag and is so handy the perfect go to scent/spray.

Tanya Burr Nail Polish in Midnight Sparkles: Another beautiful nail polish from the Tanya Burr cosmetic line this is a beautiful dark purple with glittery flecks, perfect for these colder months and I haven”t gotten over glitter nails yet so I can still keep the festive glitter in a more subtle way.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair: A long time youtube/beauty blogger favourite and definitely mine, so in expensive and such good quality its thick and creamy so is ideal for hiding anything you may want to hide. A savoir during late night study sessions, early morning exams and balancing life in general. If you haven’t tried it yet, then why haven’t you?

Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy in 1 Lush Coconut: (Glossy Balm Crystal Colour) So I got this as a gift from my loving boyfriend and I’m in love, I wanted this for ages and as there was nothing else to get me he brought me this. The sheer candy just add a subtle wash of colour to your lips and its simply perfect I wear it everyday.

Hello Kitty Shimmer Dust in Dappled: My mum brought me a bunch of cutesy hello kitty stuff for Christmas and she picked this up, despite been hesitant at first to use it I finally took the plunge and tried it and I love it, its a purple neutral shade ideal for every day or romantic looks. Basically a complete surprise but it is absolutely amazing.

So those are my monthly favourites, I’ve limited it to five but I’m trying to work out if that is the right amount or not, let me know. What have you guys been loving this month, let me know?

2014 Favourites

DSCF4345

So this year I started this blog back in June 2014 and its weird its all coming to an end, I’m on the verge of exams and entering my final semester at university, its been a different 12 months. I’ve also grown to love the beauty/blogging community so thanks to all of you. So I thought I’d look back on all of my favourite products of 2014.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette: I got this back in October as a two year anniversary present from my boyfriend, I have pretty much used this every day since getting it as it great for day time and more glam looks and is a beautifully shaded although I’m aware with the pink tones aren’t for everyone but the quality of these shadows compared to the dupes its totally worth the splurge. Although in regards to the Urban Decay vs cheap dupes if you use it daily and its within your means then by all means splurge, if you cannot afford them or won’t use them very regularly then go for the dupe.

Urban Decay Primer Potion: After trying samples I fell in love with eyeshadow primers after the Soap and Glory one was such a dud. Major staying power and no creases its simply perfect.

MUA Heaven and Earth Palette: Up until mid October and getting my Naked 3 this was my daily palette and it still gets used frequently as both are fairly different types of nude. A beautiful range of creamy blendable eyeshadows where you can easily take a look from day to night, super budget friendly too.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation: Why I had waited so long to try this foundation I have no idea because it is amazing, it has the perfect amount of coverages with a radiant dewy finish. Another little bonus is that they do proper pale girl shades which not enough brands do.

Tanya Burr Nail Varnish in Penguin Chic: I haven’t tried much of the products launched my youtubers this year as not all have interested me I love Tanya Burr but here cosmetic line was never anything I was interested in. One day I saw this on a stand in Superdrug and fell in love with it immediately, the rest is history as its semi neutral and works well a large majority of the year and for a lot of occasions.

Aussie Miracle Recharge Shine Leave in Conditioner: I’ve been trying to find a great non heavy leave in conditioner and earlier this year I finally found one, its just amazing and has done wonders for my hair. You can check out my full review of this here.

The Body Shop Passionfruit Body Butter: Okay I love all of the Body Shop’s Body Butters but this is by far my favourite scent of the all. I adore everything passion fruit and it lasts ages however, I have ordered a blueberry body butter now which I’m excited to try out too.

So what were your favourite products of 2014 and did you find any holy grail products this year?

NOTD: Elegant Touch Christmas Jumper

IMG_20141224_101627576[1] IMG_20141224_101634674[1] IMG_20141224_101644378[1]

Happy Christmas Eve! Its almost here and to get into the festive spirit I’m wearing Christmas Jumper Nails by Elegant Touch and I think these are a perfect amount of festive.

They come with stick adhesive tabs, with a choice of two shapes which I wore when I went out for work drinks and only lasted a night, as I won’t be needing them again I’ve used nail glue. The only thing I’d say about these is the price I got them on offer  from asda fr £5 but they retail for £8 a little on the pricy side but then its cheaper than getting it done professionally and they are super cute.

Happy Holidays,

Winter Pamper Essenitals

It’s got to that time of year when the nights are closing in, its getting darker earlier its freezing cold and all in all you just need some good TLC, here are what I consider essential for pampering yourself this winter.

I’m not a big fan of a lot of the Lush Products I just tend to find them over powering and over priced and would much after fill my bath with bubbles and a subtle comforting smell rather than one that bowls you over and after 5 minutes I feel sick and dizzy due to just too much smell. However, I feel like I am somewhat alone in this thinking? Although dont get me wrong I love other lush products it’s just the bath bombs ect I find overpowering.

So my first up pamper essential is a lovely deep bath filled with tons of bubbles, it just totally allows you to escape. I’m a huge lover of Radox bubble bath and have done ever since I was a kid. My current favourites is Radox Nourish Bath Soak with Ginger and Shea Butter, not only really relaxing but after you’re skin feels so soft and silk too. While indulging in a lovely hot bath I like to set the mood with a candle, my go to scent is Vanilla suitable for every occasion but there is something about Wilkinsons Fig and Black Pepper Candle I just cannot get enough of. Also with a candle you can turn off the lights, get in the bath and close your eyes and pretend you’re not in a cold student house in a shower/bath and just think about whatever you want and escape.

How can it possibly be a pamper session without a face mask, these do tend to vary on mood. If I’m wearing one while watching tv I prefer a peel off but in the bath I feel like the self heating ones feel like true pampering even more. Also at this time of year I find that Superdrugs Chocolate Orange Self Heating Mask just hits the tone of christmas and comfort really.

I’m more of a music listener in the bath and just put on an acoustic playlist rather than reading so as much of me as possible, basically anything by my head/hair is in the water and fully relax. So just close my eyes, sit back and relax for essentially as long as possible.

Once I get out of the bath I’ll put on a pair of comfy pjs (usually my boyfriends), a pair of slipper socks and sit down either to watch tv or do a bit of online window shopping. Along side this a hot chocolate is must, I just go for bog standard Cadbury instant hot chocolate but make it with almond milk instead of normal milk, the slight nuttyness is just amazing.

Occasionally I’ll paint my nails, or basically all the lovely girly pampering bits I don’t normally get to do.

What is your winter pamper routine/essentials?

Another Haul

Sorry its been quietish on the blog  front but with deadlines looming finding time to blog is hard to do as we speak I will be in the library doing work as this is scheduled from Sunday night after a busy day shopping. Also sorry for lack of November favourites I haven’t had the time to sit down think and put everything together.

Superdrug

DSCF4255

So I brought these on a separate trip to Superdrug/Town that everything else. I wanted a more wintery nail varnish and that got distracted by triple points and 3 for 2 offers.

Make Up Academy Nail Varnish in Deepest Purple: This is the kind of perfect autumn/winter colour, such a beautiful warm colour that can be worn for any occasion. Only problem is that it isn’t as opaque as I would of liked it just means it lasts a bit longer to build up colour but it is worth it.

Maked Up  Academy Nail Varnish in Red Rose: This is purely as I have no reds in my nail varnish collection and feel like I really ought to, what’s a nail varnish make up without a red one?

Make Up Academy Intense Colour Eyeliner in Snow White: I wanted to start using white eyeliner on my eyes to make them look brighter but its not that great on the waterline however, it is a decent eyeshadow primer and good for brightening the inner corners with eye make up.

So this is from a second superdrug trip where actually everything was stuff I needed.

L’Oreal True Match Foundation in C1 Rosy Ivory: I’m almost out of my rimmel wake me up foundation and thought I’d try something a bit different, I’ve heard loads of good things about this foundation. Also I love the fact I’ve managed to find a perfect stage although we’ll see when it gets on my face but I’m going to wait till I’ve use all of my other foundations first.

Make Up Revolution Blush in Now!: Last week I dropped my MUA blush in bon bon and its smashed and its too cheap and I’m too lazy to fix it so I set out to buy that but it wasn’t there then I found this one at the Make Up Revolution counter and its so pretty and I’m excited to finally try out the brand. This packaging also feels more sturdy than MUA’s and the pan is bigger though both at £1.00 I’m happy with either.

Collection Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer in Shade 1 Naked: I always love trying new concealers, the friend I was shopping with was repurchasing this as she loves it I thought I would give it a go. Has any one else tried it, if so what do you think?

Collection Pressed Powder in Ivory: I’m hitting serious pan on my current ones of these so instantly repurchased this at my next opportunity despite having 3 other pressed powders in other colours from other brands but this is my favourite so always has to be in my collection.

So next stop is a must which is primark, although due to it been a small one I couldn’t get loads.

Bambi Vest and Pants set: I been eying this up for ages and finally took the plunge and brought it, its just a cute set that can be for bed or just use the top as a vest or something either way its super cute and I love it. This set was £6.00.

Batman Slipper Socks: I love slipper sock although these aren’t for me they are for my boyfriend despite been from the womens section. He needs to slippers and he loves batman, although he’s more of a marvel man in general. I love the fact these are so soft and they can easily go in the wash if needs be. These cuties were £4.00.

Ivory Pillowcases: I got these to go over my pillows before putting on the actual pillow case if that makes sense, as I hate it when pillow pokes out so these are great as they are so inexpensive at only £1.80 for the pair.

Opaque Tights: Its winter so opaque tights are a must and I love these one so I picked these ones up they are so much less than opaque tights elsewhere and are really well made. 1 pair of tights is £2.50.

I’ve never been in a Discount UK before so we went it, its essentially the same as home bargains/B&M and I found some good deals.

Marvel Deodorant & Shower gel gift set. a £3 bargain that I brought for my boyfriend for the simple reason that I knew he would love it, plus hopefully if his using this he can stop using my body shop ones but you never know.

Calvin Kline Cream Eyeshadow: I’ve been on the search for this for a good 6months and only every found blue/purple ones or essentially any colour I wouldn’t actually wear but I found this today and didn’t have to think twice and I’m so excited to start using this either as a colour in its own right or as a base. £1.00 and completely amazing.

So I hope you liked my haul, what have you brought recently? Have you brought anything in the sales recently?

Love
