Review: The Crème Shop Slow Down, Skin! Sheet Mask

The Creme Shop Slow Down, Skin!

Doesn’t everyone want to be a panda? No just me? Oh well I’m still going to write this review, of the totally fun face masks. I’ve tried two other Crème shop face masks before one of which you can see the review for here, I’ve previously tried the Drink Up Skin which I loved and I got to be a penguin while the racoon was Wake Up Skin a refreshing and moisturising mask where you get to be a racoon.

This time it’s the The Crème Shop Slow Down, Skin! Sheet mask, where I get to enjoy been a panda. Which promises to: “Can’t bear aging skin? Boost elasticity and structure with this silica-rich mask. Infused with bamboo extract, this panda rebuilds timeworn skin in no time.”  By no means to I have aging skin really at 23 it’s important to moisturise and take care of my skin but I do not need to focus on anti-aging yet, I mainly want to see how this compares to the others how it feels on the skin. Once again I think these masks are so fun to wear, it just adds a little bit of fun to wearing a cartoon style sheet mask.

The Creme Shop Slow Down, Skin! Sheet Mask

The mask is a perfect size and shape for the face, with gaps for the relevant facial features. I find unlike other masks that the Crème Shop definitely have a shape that is a more ergonomic fit and is way more comfortable and simple to arrange on the face. I’d say the sheet appears cloth like, although I am not sure 100% what these are made of out of the many I’ve tried they are some of the most resilient being easy to unfold and use. There’s no doubt that I enjoy a Crème shop mask but these are not hugely moisture adding, leaving more of a tingling feeling and not an enjoyable one. Although this came in a pack of 3, after trying the first mask I have passed them on personally I just didn’t enjoy using the mask so knew I wouldn’t use them. I had such a positive with the other two masks that I couldn’t wait to use these ones but really just didn’t enjoy them.

All in all skip these and try the others I mentioned previously, or the Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask those I love. Let me know which masks you like in the comments, as I always love a good mask.

October Favourites

Phew! I am kind of relieved that October is over, it’s been an insane month but I am finally back in the blogging headspace and kicking it off with October favourites as what is simpler than talking about the products you have been loving. If you want to know what has been going on in the past month or so, or the reasons for my absence why not check out my life update post over here. So let’s get into what I have been loving throughout October.

Makeup wipes always seem to be a hotly contested item on the blogosphere of whether you should use them or not, it’s true they cannot replace a proper skincare routine but they definitely do the trick if you need a quick fix. I’ve been loving the Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Wipes recently, in fact a friend turned me onto them and I don’t know why I’ve never tried them before. The wipes themselves a well-made, thick and soft and retain plenty of micellar water meaning they feel wet and easily remove makeup. I love using these as soon as I get in just to freshen up my face and remove my makeup so it’s less effort later and my skin can breathe.

As the weather gets colder, my skin starts to dry out and requires a little more TLC with drastic temperature changes from the chilly outside to heated offices and houses. For that I’ve been loving The Crème Shop Sheet masks, you may remember by obsession with the penguin one back in August which you can find my review for here, I’ve been trying several of the and I love the racoon one too. They are some of the best sheet masks I’ve ever used and they are super fun too.

This month I’m on the simple eyeshadow and eyeliner band wagon, favouring to stay in my warm bed just a few minutes longer in the mornings. So, my go to eyeshadow has become Catrice Absolute Eye Colour 1010 Vin-Touch of Rose. I got this as a sample we received at work, and it’s such a creamy everyday eyeshadow colour. Just a little bit on the lid provides a neutral base but a little bit of definition to the eye perfect for when you want to keep it simple. With a simple eye I’ve been trying to push the boundaries with my lips as part of my confidence building, I wrote a whole post about it here back in September. So September was all about everyday nude lips while October was more about true lipstick although nothing out there simply wearing BareMinerals Marvellous Moxie Lipstick in Be a Star, made me that bit more confident to think about doing more with my lipstick. Its such a great everyday colour and its small size makes it an obvious choice for touch ups ect.

Finally I’ve been loving the Etude House Missing U Hand Cream #3 This is “Panda Story”, this super hand cream fits perfectly in my bag it’s so cute as well as been a super hydrating hand cream. I cannot get over how cute this is, can you?

So what have you guys been loving in October, let me know in the comments below.
