Another day, another budget beauty item for when I want to dip my toes in the water but don’t want to part with my money, it’s also another opportunity to try out another Primark P.S product, which I haven’t found one product I haven’t liked yet Primark’s beauty range is well worth checking out there are some amazing products which are all affordable. You can check out some of my previous look at Primark’s beauty ranges by clicking the following links (P.S Love First Impression and Swatches, OTHER)

So today it’s time to take a at the P.S Love Primer Water, in the past I have always loved quick solutions when applying my makeup especially for day to day so a spray primer that is moisturising and extends the life of my makeup (or at least that’s the plan) has huge appeal.

The bottle itself is nothing special, simple and practical I feel like it could be prettier but for only £2.00 I can’t really complain it serves it purpose. The sprayer although it does not emit a super fine mist, like those that are higher end its not spotty and is a fairly decent mist spray too much though and it’ll your face will just feel wet. The one thing I wish is if the mist spready further as you do have to use a couple of sprays and it will cover your entire face. Then you wait a few minutes and it will dry fairly quickly and then you can get on with your makeup, it’s not as hydrating as a traditional moisturiser or moisturising primer but what do you expect it offers that little bit of moisturise but gives back speed and time. I am not convinced it extended the longevity of my makeup but it didn’t make it disappear any quicker, so all in all it probably works at least a bit. I’m not sold on this as a primer, I think it will be great it summer to freshen up, but it terms of priming there are much better products on the market.

Well at least priming in the traditional sense, I have found two great uses for the primer water. First is to use it to use on my blending sponge with foundation, without the real wetness of water itself it doesn’t sheer out or breakup the makeup too much. It’s so easy to use and keep with my makeup and use it when I need it, so it brings a huge amount of ease to my makeup routine. It’s also great for use with eyeshadows, a damp makeup brush can really pack a punch. As you can see from the swatches it provides a real ompf to some colours and making colours more vibrant or custom eyeliners. So, although I might not continue to use it for all the face there are many other uses for the primer water.

So is the PS Love Primer Water worth buying? If you are curious about primer waters, or fancy using it opposed to water with makeup application go ahead. Realistically at only £2.00 from Primark its not a lot of money. What have you got to lose.
