February Collective Haul

With February drawing to a close it is time again for my monthly collective haul, its not a big month for stuff but I thought I would share the few things I picked up.

ASDA: I love it when you’ve run out foundation and not only can you find it in Asda its on offer too. The L’Oreal True Match Foundation in Ivory Rose (£7.00), is my go to foundation I always have a bottle on hand, the best colour match and I love the feel of it too.

Superdrug: Just a few basics this month from Superdrug this month. It’s been a good month or two since I last had the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer (£2.49), I’m not sure why maybe it’s because I was trying out other products but I’m glad to have it back in my life it’s the best makeup base I have ever had. Other than that, I picked up another boring essential with the Nivea Protect and Care Antiperspirant (£1.63), a good go to deodorant although to be honest I’m not fussy this one is a good one though.

Primark: With my last pair on the way out I once again picked up another pair of the Flat Faux Suede Pumps (£4.00), they are great for everyday and go with a lot of outfits. I’m never without a pair, plus something more expensive never lasts that much longer than these ones. Then after a few failed clothes try-ons I hit up the beauty section, picking more of my favourite Cotton Wool Pads (£0.50 each), some of the cheapest around and they get the job done. Finally, out of curiosity I picked up the PS Micellar Cleansing Water (£2.00), I’m obsessed with micellar waters so I had to try another one and this one is so affordable. Keep your eyes peeled for a review.

So what did you pick up in February, let me know in the comments below.

Work ware Haul

workware haul ft next and primark

I started my job on the 20th and over the last few weekends I picked up some work wear and just thought I’d share some of the items I brought.

workware from NEXT

Next

My first port of call was Next, which I had been in during the week to try on clothes and establish what size I was in each thing before the sale at the weekend so I could be in and out if I wanted to be. I arrived at my next at just gone 7am and the car park was rammed but luckily staff were efficient and the shop was well organised and running smoothly. I unfortunately couldn’t pick up everything that I wanted to but I managed to pick up 3 items I wanted.

First up is the simple black tailored dress which has a subtle but nice touch of neck detail, weirdly a lot of the smarter clothes I own for interviews etc. are navy and I feel as though you cannot really go wrong with a black dress which is about  knee length. So essentially comfy and ideal for work. I also brought a coral dress just to inject a little bit of colour into my wardrobe and it is summer after all. It is so well made and is something a little different for me so will be fairly refreshing.

The final thing I picked up was a nice little black blazer, which was a bargain at half price. Also I love a black blazer for all sorts of occasions from work to creating a cute smart causal look, it’s a strong basic which I feel as though every girl should have in her wardrobe and once again this is something I was lacking with only navy counterparts. I still didn’t manage to pick up everything but I picked up 3 great quality products for only £58.00 which really isn’t bad going.

Primark

I also popped into Primark, mainly for some basics such as a pair of flats and some tights. I then managed to find some really nice bits for work in there too which is a total win win situation.

First I actually picked up the two items which were the entire reason why I went in, first up a suede pair of flats. Simple which can work with a multitude of outfits and I can wear them to work, I would prefer to wear heels my I have muscle problems so have to limit my time spent in heels. I also picked up a new pair of tights, this time getting some body shaping ones for no logic other than the fact these were one of the only nude pairs that were available. Why is there a lack of nude tights in the summer?

I simply fell in love with the cranberry peplum top, which is coming out more pink toned here, is beautiful great for both nights out and for work depending on what you pair it with. So is a great asset and I’ve lost the recite but I can tell you it was relatively inexpensive, it will also look great paired with a statement necklace I just need to get one that goes with this top. Then I picked up two pairs of trousers which I can wear at work and will probably do for casual wear too I will have to wait and see really.

So yes that a quick haul as to what I purchased for work, more to come soon probably.

Day 18: Primark Haul

3

So the other day I went into primark just to buy some essentials I am proud of how restrained I was so I thought I’d just let you know what I brought.

6

So first up tailored trousers, they aren’t  entirely flattering and are a little on the baggy side but this summer I am signed up to an events agency so if I get work I have to wear these trousers and a black shirt. As I was unlikely to wear the trousers ever again after this summer primarks seemed like the best option however, these have a cute slim belt that I think I am highly likely to wear with all sorts especially with a skater dress or something. £12.00

4

This I brought as I thought an oversized white vest would be great to just lounge about in over summer so I brought one a few sizes too big. It wasn’t until I got home I realised how see through it is so I will probably tie dye it and turn it into something to wear with a bikini or something like that. Approximately £3.

10

So I needed some new PJs and these Marvel legging PJs were so cute, they have a cute marvel logos all over the legs and on the left leg is a graphic of a classic image of characters such as Iron Man and Thor. They are so comfy and I think with the cuffs they’ll be great in the Autumn/Winter months, at some point I am going to go back and buy the shorts set. PJ leggings are £8.00.

I didn’t especially like the top that was meant to go with it so I purchased a simple plain black one, it is really thick material and such good quality for the price. It will make such a cute set and it is so dam comfy. Stretch Tshirt cost £2.00.

9

I have brought so many of these they last me 4/5months and I wear them practically 24/7 as they are so comfy and practical, I used to buy more expensive ones but they’d fall apart just as quick so I always buy primark ones you can never go wrong. £3.00.

7

Finally I brought these, once again for work as we have to neatly tie our hair back. I also thing they’d be great for doing simple discreet summer hairstyles and at £1.00 for 300 elastic bands you cannot go wrong.

What have you recently brought in primark? Do you go there to keep up with the trends cheaply or to buy essentials?

Love
